Log Snowmen

I've been promising I would post a picture of the log snowmen I am making. Here's a pic of the "family" at the moment. Plans are to make at least 3 more of varying sizes.

They are 24 inches high. Next ones will be a little shorter. I cut the scarves in half lengthwise as they are too long otherwise and then wrap them around the log and attach with thumbtacks so the one end just hangs down. I've been getting the scarves and hats at Salvation Army store here, Goodwill and a resale shop.

Just an idea for the RV crafters ....
These are great for Christmas gifts, but logs are heavy and if you are wanting to do these on the road then may I suggest using PVC pipe.
Basically the stuff used for home toilets.
Give them a quick sand or use specialist white paint for plastics (if you want to get really fancy add a little sand to the paint to give it some texture).
Then paint and decorate just as you would a normal log.
