Frankenmuth, MI

Put this town on your bucket list the next time you are in MI. It is a German town and embraces all things Bavarian! I made a quick stop because I didn't know I need three or four days! Research it before you come! Trust me on that part. Also trust me on eating sulunch at the Bavarian Inn. Sulunch is supper and lunch. And you will still have left overs. We had the Ultimate dinner and we started with chicken pasta salad, a cranberry relish, coleslaw, cucumbers in a vinegary dressing, chicken noodle soup. The meat and veggies were smoked pork loin, pork schnitzel, brats, chicken, sauerbrauten, (spelled wrong) with faux dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, egg noodles, and mixed veggies steamed. We had two kinds of bread. Left overs? You bet!

Edited to add ice cream, vanilla, chocolate or orange vanilla twist.

Just do it!

Thanks to my friend Sandy G from Grand Rapids and Colliemom Sue.

Also, while you are in Bavarian Inn, go down to the basement and stock up on pastries, bread, and pies. I usually fill my tiny freezer when I drive by.

They also have a doll shop and some really interesting gift shops with good quality merchandise--things like china, etc. no junk. And of course, the world's largest Christmas shop--Bronners--is in Frankenmuth. Many cities and towns around the country buy their street and park display stuff from there.

No time left for Christmas shop. Besides you know I don't have any space available in my house.
