I promised an update once I got to actually use the gps so here it is. I love Sir Rand (as he is affectionately known to me). Well, so far anyway. I used it yesterday to get home from the south side of baltimore where I went to pick up my rv. Can't bring the rv through the tunnels so SirRand brought me up and over the key bridge. He did an excellent job other than wanting me to go to the exit past my usual and come home via a dirt road. I declined because I know that there is no way in he77 that my rv could negotiate that road. So, hopefully Sir Rand won't try again on roads that I am totally unfamiliar with!

We plan on hitting the road tomorrow and will allow Sir Rand to direct us as long as he plays nice! Here's hoping he plays nice!

You have to remember that prairie roads and jeep trails are fair game to a GPS. Be careful how you program it.

That's right, explain (nicely, the first time) that jeep trails and prairie roads are NOT on your rv bucket list!

Thanks for the update. A couple of beta testers from Escapee's gave it a good review.

Thought I would take a minute and update this. If anyone out there is just now trying to decide what kind of GPS to get for their RV, I would highly recommend that you spend the little extra and get one of these. I am in love with Sir Rand, he has done an excellent job and recalculates without nagging me if I happen to turn too soon (which I often do). The other features are pretty easy to use and useful if you happen to decide you are tired and where is the closest campground, etc.

So Paulette, where has Sir Rand stopped you at lately? Like, where are you on the road? Thanks for the update on the usefulness of this GPS.

Birdie, I am officially home as of yesterday afternoon. However, I did stop for 2 days in Nashville, two days in cave city, kentucky and overnight in west Virginia. The animals are happy to be home.

I did do one of the cave tours. The cave is awesome and some day I'd like to do another of the tours. I didn't stay there at the park but chose instead to stay at a small campground a couple of miles from there called "Singing Hills". It was only 32 a night with full hook ups and a pull thru site. And a good Sam discount of 10%. I'd like to tour the area again and also do the tour of the Bourbon Trail some time. Kentucky is a pretty state.
