Ultra absorbent towels

The idea of having my usual home towels with me in the RV is unappealing. They tend to hold moisture too long and could create too much moisture in the RV. I ordered some ultra absorbent "camping" towels online that also dry very quickly. They profess to hold up with gentle washing..we'll see. Will let you know how well they work and hold up.

I love these! My current ones are from Eagle Creek. Older ones I got years ago from L.L. Bean to use for horse camping in the back country. Now I even have on I keep in my bathroom at home to use for my hair, saves tons of time on the hair dryer.
What brand did you get?

I bought the Ultralight towels in two sizes - 12x24 and beach towel size. Hope these work as well as yours do.

..If these are the towels to which you're referring, I originally bought them for the Mobile Marlin, and now use them in the house...I love them.

Those BBB towels look heavenly! but they aren't the 'back packer' type that I use. Here is a link to one on Eagle Creek. They come in many sizes though.

Thanks for the links. I've been looking at the camping ones like yours, Diana - for many reasons, including space. One of these days, I'll probably replace what I have with them. The BB&B ones seem as big as the ones I don't want anymore? I'm one of those that prefer the cheap, thin towels over the fat "luxurious" ones. Started out with a beautiful new set of 4 thick towels in here, and have been giving them away - using my thin old towels. When I replace the old ones, will probably get the camping ones for the fast drying, lightweight and thinness.
Love the way we share ideas here. And, don't get me wrong, I'm sure those BB&B ones are perfect for many.

I like the thinner ones too, easier to wash and dry, however, the bathmat ....
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?sku=120822&are available at Walmart for less and I thought about getting one of the smaller ones, folding it in half and sewing the ends together to make myself a nice comfy carseat cushion cause I have no more butt cusion of my own.

You can do a search on the website with your zip code and it will bring up stores in your area that sells them. It lists REI near me, along with 2 other stores in Portland.

Ava, those bath mats are SO cushy! They sell them at WalMart now too but not as many colors to choose from. They would make a great soft bed for a cat or dog too. I haven't gotten one yet but probably will soon.
Beth, I also prefer the thinner, cheaper towels to the thick luxury ones. These ultra-absorbing ones would be really nice to have. Will have to look into those.
