small freezers

Honestly at a loss as to where to post this? But figured it would be best posted in here! Well maybe I should have put it in with the other gadgets?

Have always told Kelly that when we got an RV that I wanted a small freezer. Periodically I have checked online for small freezers but never found one that I liked. I think I've mentioned maybe a time or two that I hate grocery shopping? Especially when we have to go every freaking week!! Dealing with a small RV fridge is a total bummer.

Found this little beauty on WalMart.com and have bookmarked it. This will be a purchase that we will make this summer when we are both back to work.

Love the size, the fact that it opens with a door not a lid and that it has slide out baskets so that you don't have to go digging into the bottom. Kelly read thru the reviews and they were pretty good, only one bad one.

I found this site compactappliance.com when I was looking for a freezer. It looks like the prices at Wal-Mart are lower. I am trying to get by with the freezer in my refrigerator because we don't have a lot of room. My DH gets carried away when he goes to the meat market and I keep telling him not to buy any more. One of these days I'm going to get aggravated enough to buy a freezer.

My sister in law has this freezer in their camper and she loves it. They love it. It keeps the food great and they love the drawers that pull out.

Moved this to Gadgets - fits better than maintenance I think.

Good luck with this. You'd be surprised how much I can fit in my little fridge and freezer, though. I know there's only one of me - but I've gone 6 weeks without shopping, before getting the toad would only shop monthly when workamping - especially after I started using freezer bags to freeze leftovers. And doing so in 1-2 person servings. It also keeps me from overeating :). That said, I can see your wanting that freezer - and it looks like a good one.

nifty little freezer, I used to have one just like it but the 5 cubic one size. I loved it!
Was looking at the rest of them and I tend to like the little Haire 1.5 cubic size, but
thats cause its just me I have to buy for and the freezer with my fridge is just almost
big enough for two weeks worth of foods for me. I'm sure after I hit the road I'll learn
a few more packing tips for the freezer.
