Does anyone have experience with a botanical rodent repellent called Fresh Cab? Some folks over on the Fun Finder Forum I belong to say it really works in their campers over the winter.

It's not a poison; it's a repellent. I bought a box today at Tractor Supply. Supposedly smells nice, too (but not to the nasty little bastards).

Use it all the time and seems to work as stated. I like not having to worry about one of my critters getting into poison.

I heard about it too, but haven't been able to find it yet.

Amazon has Fresh Cab.

Recently read about it in my Escapees magazine. Has gotten good reviews.

Out here in SoCal, Lowes, Builders and most of the Ace hardware stores have it.

We've been using it since we bought our first RV and won't be without it!!

We also keep a packet or two in our garage.

Sounds like something I need to get to stuff in a couple of my basement storage areas. I never did catch or see any evidence of the visitor I had in February. I figure he or she stuck his nose out somewhere to check things out and since I was driving pretty fast decided to abandon ship.

Funny, but the TC sits outside on a "cradle" under tarps and I've never had a mouse problem. Truck is in the garage all winter and I've had mice get in. Guess I know where to find the mice--heated garage.

You can always make your own repellant using the same ingredients:

Ingredients: Active ingredient: balsam fir needle essential oil; Inert ingredients: corn cob chips ( plant cellulose fiber), essential oils of spanish rosemary, lavender, fir, clary sage, cedar wood, lemon, grapefruit, eucalyptus and patchouli.

Essential oils can be expensive, but a few drops at a time and a bottle can last for ages.
