Hanging Things on Walls

What do you all do about hanging things on walls in your RV?

It occured to me that in the house I can spackle and paint over the drywall and it will look like new if I ever need to remove something from the wall. But in the RV, not the same. Makes me leery of hanging anything..... but I could really use the storage that would give me, plus the walls are really bare.

I'd love your thoughts.

I use the blue museum putty and sometimes a small push pin type thing that leaves a smaller hole than a nail.

I hang all my artwork, clocks, and bathtowels on the hooks made by "3M Command Brand " called "Damage-Free Hanging" they are just amazing. They are stuck on the wall, no holes or damage. When you want to remove the hook you just pull straight down on the tape and it comes right off...They come in all sizes and some even look like brushed aluminum so they look nice in the bathroom, etc. I have never had one fall off the wall. I have heavy art hanging on them...really neat product.

I use both the Museum Putty and the 3M Command hangers. I found the 3M did remove some of the paper from the wall when I tried to reposition it and so I put it back up there and just left it staring at me (I was going to hang my broom on it). I used 3M for my note board, thermometer, clock, and flyswatter. Then I used the Museum putty for my calendar and flamingo. The calendar falls off every once in a while and I just put it back up. I use the putty to hold my coffee on the counter as I am driving down the road (probably should put some on my neck to hold my head on, too ).

3M two-sided tape - might have to work hard to remove it - but is removable.

I was thinking about the same thing a while back. Can you really hang up photos and not have them fall off while you drive? Do they bang around at all??

I can't imagine not having pictures of my grandchildren along.

I drive with three small Indian pottery vases on a shelf secured with a ring of museum putty. They have never even come loose. Hey, anyone from California is familiar with museum putty or as known in California, earthquake putty.

Another user of the 3M hooks and putty. After hanging the picture with the 3M hook, you can put the putty on the back of the picture and it will not sway while driving. Linda

I believe I have 11 photos/artworks hanging on my walls. Two are framed and not the lightest weight. The rest are pretty lightweight. All are up by using the twosided 3m tape. I also have a "remote control holder" on the wall by my bed - which I use for my eye glasses - nothing moves at all - I don't use the hooks at all - just the two-sided tape. Love the stuff.

Do they really call it Museum Putty, or is there a brand name? I assume Lowes or someone similar would have it??

I have a map that keeps falling off my wall and could use some.

I have:
Loctite Fun-tak mounting putty, removable, Holds 1 lb;
Super Glue, HandiTak, the reusable Adhesive; and
Elmer, Reusable Adhesive, Tac 'N Stik

They are all the same. I got one at Home Depot, one at Lowe's and one at some Office Depot/Max store.
