Sewage slinky bumper storage 'slide'

Postby shnz821 » Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:21 am

Saw this mod on another forum, and finished installing it on my trailer last week. Love the gutter slide, as it makes it so easy to manuever the hoses in and out of the post. Took the trailer out for the maiden voyage this weekend and it worked great! I did make a couple of small changes to the plan (for instance, I bought a post with holes on one side so that air circulates around the hoses while driving down the road to dry out the gear in between camp sites).

That is really nifty. I have a Jayco 5th wheel but I'm not sure that I could fit a piece of gutter plus the hose into the bumper. Maybe my hose is a little bigger but you would think the fittings on the end would have to be the same. Anyway, it is a nice idea.

Actually that's the point of the mod. You might not be able to see it, but the standard 4" bumper is underneath where I attached the vinyl fence post. I needed something bigger because the fittings wouldn't go in the 4" bumper. Of course, now I'll need to find another use for the standard bumper. :)

Very clever storage solution.
