Robo Grips

I was put in my place so very nicely - that my talk about these belong here where people can find it. And it's true ... so ....

Just this past couple days, Sunshinecruiser showed me her Robo Grips. I borrowed them to see which size I want - as they grip better than what I have, making it easier for me to screw on or off. Here's the link to them on Amazon: Robo Grip 7 At least to one size. This was the color handle of her larger sized one, so hoping it's the size I want. Haven't ordered yet, but will be.

On edit, I discover they are made by Craftsman - went looking for a Review and it makes me like them more. I just might buy the 2 piece set HERE.

Someone misunderstood how they work. When you grip them, the self-adjust to the size you need. There is no adjusting them. They grip beautifully in the trial I gave to Caroline's. And I went to the Sears site and bought that 2 piece set this afternoon.

I have seen something similar but will stick with Craftsmen as they have always had the policy that if you break one of their wrenches, they will replace it, no questions asked. Years ago we actually dug up a broken rusted Craftsmen wrench and took it in and they replaced it!!

I'm finding it something like mission impossible to open jars lately. Will try them for that too.

Ok, I went to the Sears website and saw a close up of these grips. They are channel locks. I thought they were self adjusting but they aren't. Please send me the link if I'm not seeing the correct pliers as I already carry channel locks in my rig.

Lenora, channel locks have grooves/channels to adjust the size of the opening, Robo grips automatically adjust to the size of whatever you're gripping. They also have a thing between the handles that open the handles automatically.

My first post here has links to the ones I bought - on the Sears website - as well as to a review - and a link to one on Amazon- but I preferred, after finding out they were Sears Craftsman - to buy directly from them.

Got my 7" Robo Grips today. Wish now I would have gotten the bigger ones, but these will work. Pretty nifty!

How did I, of all the people on this forum, Miss Tool Nut, the person who practically has an orgasm just walking thru the tool department of any store, miss this???? I saw these once in Sears and had to swallow hard and keep walking 'cause I knew if I put my hands on them I would own them. But, I maintained, knowing I had every size channel locks known to man. Beth, you are costing me waayyy to much money between these and the Nook!! These will be in my tool box by next week and darn it, have nothing broken right now to try them on! Poor DH, he wouldn't even let me go near the tool dept. at Sears 'cause he knew it was gonna cost him big bucks if I did. That and the lingerie dept., but he didn't seem to mind that so much....

I used mine yesterday to hook up my water - made it so much easier. No struggling. Hope that'll always be true now. Love them. Hahaha Sharon, I'm the minimalist, have so little - but when I find something that works (thanks to Caroline) I get it. Lenora, I almost only got the small ones, but since the discount for getting the 2 sizes was good, I decided to go for that - and am glad I did - used both sizes yesterday - but could have made the small ones work. And you can always get another pair - if you decide you like them.

Beth, I almost ordered the 2fer but, like you, I'm a minimalist so figured I'd get one and the smaller one would surfice. I did try it on tightening a hose and it will JUST work.
