Thunderstorms are coming Thursday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thunderstorms are coming Thursday!

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Thu Feb 07, 2013 6:10 am

Okay!! :) 2 nights of sleep makes the mornings so much better... :D But got to get enough coffee in me and get Spinner out for his morning walk before the thunderstorms hit today...Weatherbug has them starting any minute....

Not much going on here....yesterday was a nice day...spent the morning with my friend, Cindy, as our guys were out golfing...then I did the laundry and worked some cross stitch....easy supper of breakfast items of biscuits and gravy....and ended the evening sitting around a campfire with the neighbors....

Have been researching places for this year's travels....Ernie planned last year's grand adventure, so it's my turn to do this year's....Haven't got it any farther than the Open Range Rally in August....but will keep ya'll posted.. ;)

All righty, then....better get out the door for Spinner's walk...I hear the rumblings start....

Have a great day, all...

Good morning Lori and all who follow. The dogs woke me up at 5:30 to go outside. We were all sleepy last night so I did not take them out before going to bed. It's supposed to rain here today somewhere around midday. I am kind of looking forward to the rain. It hasn't rained during the time I have been in Florida and I might take a nap when it does rain.

I was very lazy yesterday and did no chores so I need to get them done for sure today. Only thing planned for today is a trip to Walmart. I have to get a few things and so does Paul.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning Lori, Dawn and everyone else,

Lori, hope the thunderstorms are just run of the mills stuff and nothing severe. Dawn, I know that feeling when you wish for a rainy day. Kind of nice to just kick back and do things you keep putting off for that rainy day.

Here in MI we are getting snow. The majority of it a bit below me into the central part of the state where Winter Storm Warnings are posted, but we will get some heaviere snow later tonight as well. In the meantime, for the majority of the day, it's just light stuff. Ms. Tessa and i will be venturing out in a while as she is due for a 10 day checkup again.

Had a busy day yeserday with errands, some business that needed to be taken care of with insurance companies as I am changing companies for my homeowners and car insurance, the gym class and home to snowblow the drive from the past few days of light snows before taking the dogs over to the park for a walk. Got back home here just as the Tree Service company was arriving with their equipment to clear up some more tree damage from last Decembers storm. They trimmed about 16 cracked limbs out of a big pine in front, took the broken top off a small spruce, cut down two more trees and cut up and hauled out another one that had snapped in half as well as pulled out a stump. Was fun watching them working with the tractor and bucket truck, as those guys are pros and very goood at what they do. When they were all done and had everything cleaned up, they took their tractor with the bucket and plowed my drive right down to the blacktop almost. That was nice of them, plus I know it picks up any little debris that might have been left so my blower doesn't hit it. I think they even took out the hump at the end of the drive from the road plows. Course this cost me some green too, but it was worth it.

So today I will take Ms. Tessa in and then head back home. Not much planned. Think it might be a good day to work on a couple of signs i am fooling around with. Would like to get them done and put the stuff away for awhile as I want to start my spring cleaning around here and get things in order. Am debating about painting my small bathroom, but haven't decided what color and also not sure if I want to take my border down either. I have real estate agents coming on Tuesday to check out the place and give me some idea of what I can list for should I make the decision to sell.

So, I hope you all have a wonderful day today. If any of you are traveling, keep safe, if under the weather, know it too shall pass and for those of us on diets, keep chugging :)

We are up and reading e-mails.....I reposted my husband blog post on FB.....He had posted some pictures of a recent pottery firing and talked about being pined down in the recliner by the dog and the cat. So even he admits to being the "man in the recliner." I didn't just make that up. The folks here in the Keys are planning to head on down the road this morning, meeting up with Nan and making the journey on to wild Key West. If it isn't wild to begin with it will when we get there. JudyB, I waved as I drove past the park yesterday. I was the last to arrive yesterday, but I also now have a functioning TV! I even got it hooked up on the swing arm by myself!

After driving past endless strip malls and getting stopped at most of the lights, I believe I might spring for the Expressway on the way north! :?

Good Morning to All - I'm sitting here with a blanket over my shoulders reading about snow - it is really cooling down at night here in Mazatlan now. Low 50s high 40s. Us gringos are still in shorts during the 70 -80 degree days and the people who live here are wearing winter jackets....And the news is warning everyone to dress warm for the night festivities of Carnaval which starts today.
Lots and lots of people in town, mostly from the interior of Mexico - party time.
We hope to go to the plaza tonight for the entertainment but parking will be a problem all the lots we usually park in will be closed because all the roads are blocked. We'll see.
We'll be heading north right after the first of March - making a couple more stops here in Mexico then back across into the states - not sure what way we'll go home. Depends on the weather.
Drive safe if you're traveling.

We had the storms move through here yesterday. Today is supposed to be really nice before the next system starts moving in for the weekend. Red - I think Sasquatch needs to rethink shooting skeet Sunday morning. Channel 13 has it at an 80% chance of rain. Of course, Channel 11 only has 40%.

I'm wanting to go to the RV show this weekend. I could go Sunday and meet up with Red, or go Saturday and ride the train and not worry about parking at the Reliant Center. If it's going to rain like they say on Sunday, not sure I want to ride the train as it's a pretty decent walk from the train stop. Of course, parking would be a mess as well. It was so much easier when I had my handicap sticker. Decisions, decisions...

But first I have to get through 2 more days of work.

I hope Tessa has a good report today.

And I'm jealous of the wild women in the Keys!

Good morning all. I pulled a muscle in my calf while un hooking the Monty the 5ver at the dealer yesterday in the rain. Kinda hobbling around. Trying to stay off the leg, but still have so much to do. Still have mountain of laundry. took everything out of the storage bay on Monty (yes, I call her Monty. probably like evry other Montana out there. but thats better than DH calling her "the trailer" :P ) DH wants to have one of those big drawers installed. So I guess Monty will be gone for awhile. Mean while I need to sort through all the stuff and get it moved to the barn!!

Want to go to RV show as well. DH wants to go the the Brenham gun show on Sat AM. Don't know what time we'll get back. Maybe RV show would be good on Sunday while it is raining. Maggie, Will PM you and figure out a way to meet up!!

Dawn, I got lost on the saga of the car. Did you finally get delivery from Honda?? How long will the RV place take to make it tow ready?? Inquiring minds want to know

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha, y'all

Good Morning,

Today is moving day! We are off to meet Sharon and Donna (RyeGal) at the Slabs! I intend to enjoy a few hours of driving with either quiet or music - my choice. :)

The couple we have been visiting here are really fun, and we have had a great time. We went out for Chinese Buffet yesterday before doing our shopping. Buffet was one of the worst I have been to. :(

Ouch, Red! I kept overdoing after I hurt my knee so be nice to your calf!

Tina, glad you got a new TV so you can play with the new toy (Carryout)!!

You gals in the Keys, behave yourselves! Wish I were there!

I could use some rain so I could have a nap!

Have a grand day all and safe travels.

Good Morning... boy there are several early birds here... Lori hope you got Spinner back before the rain... we have light rain here and more later...
I got a surprise yesterday at the doctors office... the knee was not as bad as I had thought it is the bursa just under each knee... She injected both then home to ice them after a stop at wal-mart... this morning they are tender and I know it takes a while for the full effect to take place... Margie has more injections in her spine at about 11:30 this morning... when she gets home I will go over and stay with her so John can go to work...
My doctor was very pleased with my weight loss... and I am still motivated...
Oh Red pulling a muscle is no fun hope it heals fast... Sue you can keep the snow... ours is all gone... Tina I am green with envy thinking of the fun you ladies are having... no jail time please... I may have missed it but Dawn did you get the car?
Have a great day everyone...

Red, stay off that pulled muscle as much as you can!

Kathleen, no have not gotten the car yet. Talked to the sales manager yesterday. Told him I was tired of the lies and spin. Told him had they told me how long it would actually take to get the car Honda Certified, I would not have been so unhappy with their dealership. The salesman set my expectations at getting the car on Monday. I also told him I never wanted to talk to the supervisor over the salesmen again. I was not happy with his attitude with me. He told me at 2 yesterday when I called because no one had called me as he, himself, had promised. The supervisor told me if he had time, he would go check on the car and give me a call back. I called back at 4 since I had not heard from the supervisor and got the salesman again. I wanted the sales manager to call me. He did within just a few minutes. From what he told me, since I requested a bumper to bumper warranty, there was a place on the bumper which needed to be fixed and repainted. The paint on the bumper was still tacky yesterday afternoon he said. He told me he had just checked on the car 15 minutes before calling me. He said since it still needed drying time and the car needs to be detailed it would not be ready until Friday. I told him I wanted to get it Friday morning. He asked that I give them until 11 tomorrow morning. Told him I would give them that long, but I expected to be able to get it at 11 on Friday with no further delays. They all know how unhappy I am with them and the fact that I am sharing this with you all.

Good morning all! :D

Yikes, I knew I'd been gone from here, bt didn't realize it's been since the 3rd??? That's what my forem page tells me. Missed so mch! First, want to thank Martha for chiming in on her location--will be contacting yew with my eta for yore area. Both Lori & Irmi (& the S-ltans) said meeting yew and Vicki are definitely worth my time, so I hope it works owt! What am I saying??? I WILL work it owt!! :P Look for me to PM yew midweek, okay???? Leaving here on Tewsday with a stop over gtg with KarenS my first night.

Kathleen, congrats on yore weight loss!!! And what GREAT news that yew don't need knee sergery!!!! Red, that's qwite a leak--more like a cascade!!! BJ & Toby, a good first obedience class! Key GTG, soon to need bail money with "Tima" showing-p LOL Soos, legs any better?? Great idea for an Adirondack GTG! Irmi, glad Steve is better today (will get to yew in a bit abot Aldi's). Dawn, I think the Honda dealer had to get yew a Fit from somewhere else--like Alaska??? And for Tessa, try an all meat/protein/fat diet??? My BIL does all the holist health things & said people & DOGS get too many grains in their diets?? He s-ggested I try that for Tigg, who seized while BIL was here. St-dies on hewman epilepsy showed improvement when eliminating grains, he says. They have "no grain" dry food--I fownd some at the local farmer/feed store.

One day of waking at 4:30 & I thot I was back to my "normal" Yep, ending my FL stay on Tewsday & will try to see yew Dawn & meet Barbzeee before I leave, bt sis finally has set aside time for me this weekend, so it may not work :( Hope things are better with yore mom!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Awoke to sunshine and 66 degree temp here in Orlando----tough to take, eh? :) I am reading that it was well below zero back at my north country home again last night, and it is still -2 there right now. I discovered that my daughter, Mandy, Orion, and Joe are staying at my house this week as Joe's Grandma is in the process of dying at her nearby home with Hospice in attendance. However, there has been no phone there and no DSL internet, so my calls and messages were never reaching anyobdy and I got worried. I finally reached Mandy on her cell phone while she was back at St. Lawrence U. at work, as my house has very little or sketchy Verizon cell service. Sooooo.....I spent well over an hour here trying to reach a REAL LIVE human being on Verizon's HELP phone number, all the while getting madder and madder and fuming and swearing as I am so capable of doing when I feel total frustration. I felt so sorry for that REAL LIVE man I finally reached and let loose all my wrath on, but I finally got success! He determined that the problem was at the station and not at my house, and told me that service should be up and running by noon today. We shall see! If so, I will be able to see Orion tonight via Skype, at last! I miss them all so much when I can't see them or even talk with them. That event called for a powerful adult beverage when I hung up the phone!

Today I will work on the group FL GTG picture and try to make it the size needed to put it into those mugs everyone received, I hope. It may take me all day! I will include it in a message, and, If you do not have a printer, let me know and private message me your address and I will print you out one and mail it to you.

Dawn I am feeding Molly grain-free food for her "tender" stomach, but perhaps it should be Dinah that gets that kind as she has epilepsy, possibly, as I have witnessed at least one seizure, and possibly the tail end of another. But BOY is it ever exensive! I buy mine at Tractor Supply, and guess I'd better get a bigger bag this time.

Tonight I hope to be Skyping with Orion!

Happy Thursday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hi everyone. I awoke to fog 39 degrees. It suppose to start warming up this weekend. I'm goings to start packing up for my up coming "trip". Only going 1/2 hour away to 7 Feathers Casino. Billy Gardell (Mike and Molly) is there Saturday. I'm taking the rig, the head for Portland, Or to see my granddaughter and family. That will be a 4 hour drive. This will be my first tow since I had the hitch put on. I'm going to tow my Ranger. I'm staying at an RV park because my daughter and family live in a a 2 bedroom apt. The last time I was there, they moved the baby into their room and set up a bed. But that just seems like to much work. Besides, the baby is 6months old now, and it would mess her sleep up.
