Good morning Carolb, Paulette and all that follow. I enjoyed the game too. I was really glad the Ravens won. I did watch Downton Abbey during the middle of the game. Cannot miss that show.

Carolb, I am sorry I am going to miss you. I am picking up Irmi on the way to the dealership today. After I return the rental car, we are coming back here so I can show her how my spin dryer works. I have so much laundry to catch up on. I have never been this far behind before. I did not do any while at the GTG and haven't gotten any done since we've been here so far. Not a good situation. Poor Irmi, she is going to get to see all my dirty laundry.

I grilled some burgers for Paul and me last night. They were so good. I am learning to use a BBQ grill again. Haven't used one in over 30 years before getting this one for Christmas. Chuck always did the grilling. The burgers came out really good. I put some large mushrooms and onions in foil with some olive oil and cooked them on the grill with the burgers for toppings. I bought a couple steaks to cook for us sometime this week or next. On Friday, Barb is coming over and we are going to grill steaks and roast potatoes and veggies. Yum!

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning Carolb, Paulette, Dawn and all who folow,

I"m not a big fan of football either although used to watch it, but I sure enjoyed that game last night. Was a great job of coaching by the brothers, trying to outdo each other and both knowing how the other works cause they learned it from thier father. Was rooting for the 49ers cause Jin Harbaugh was a former U of M player, so some Michigan connection there. Was amazed at some of the stratagies they used to try and win.

Breakfast of sausage and scrambled eggs followed by a bowl of strawberries is in the tummy and I am now catching up on posts from the past couple of days. Need to go to Introductions and see who has recently joined too.

Headoing off to gym class today, the start of another week. Weather calls for some light snow showers, no big deal.

Kathleen, congrats on your weight loss. Although it doesn't sound like much, it's a start. You go girls. I too am working on losing weight and to date have lost 3.4 pounds in the past two weeks. So guess we can encourage each other on :D

Aw Wendy, sorry to hear about the tripping and esulting black eye. Hopefully it will be all better in no time for you.

Red, glad to hear they found the problem with your truck and congrats on being able to handle it and the rig by yourself pluse do the other stuff with the rig as well. You will be a pro before you know it.

Dawn, gotta post pictures of the new kayak. I want to see it. Been considering that for myself as well although must save up some green first. And now you have a new set of wheels to tool around in. Course we exepect a pic of that too  Thanks for the enocuragement to me for trying to follow my dream of maybe living farther north. Time will tell on that. In a waiting patterin for now. Can't do anything till things get in order up there and I see what the deal is.

Ms. Tessa is off her food again it seems. Guess the meds kicked in and her tummy says no way. But that's to be expected with this reanl failure stuff. Ups and downs. For that matter Ms. Sassy isn't eating this morning either, so I guess she's full up for now. Will just leave the bowl out and see what happens later on. We all went for a walk yesterday and Ms Tessa was trotting along nicely on the way home. Actually she looks so comfty in her bed, that I"m about ready to joing her

Kathleen, I know what you mean about paying for your moible home even when you are down south for the winter. Same goes here. If I leave, the house bills are still coming in, so it gets a bit expensive paying in two directions.

Got a lotter and an app. from the park where I work summers in the mail on Saturday. Boss is sending them out to see who's coming back and who's not. Got till mary 9th to respond. I'll get it in theer eventually. Am kind of waiting on another option, but if I don't hear on that one, then I will go back to Otsego again this year.

Well, time to move along here and let somebody else sit down and chat for a bit. Be time to leave for gym class in about a half hour and I"m not dressed for that yet. So you all have a wonderful day wherever you are. For those of you who are out on the road or getting ready to, travel safe and enjoy the drive.

Good morning all!! We stopped in Junction, TX right of I10 just in time to set up and watch the Super Bowl. Thank goodness their cable worked well. did not want tot have to call DirectTV to change the zip code again for the satellite dish. What a great game. It was so close. I think a couple of the commercials were really good, but not as good is those in years past. Half time was pretty good as well. We had pizza, beer and ice cream!! Now stowing and dumping for that last leg home.
I'm not as excited about today's trip. Last leg - 300 miles - to home. I would really like to keep going. Even DH said he'd like to keep going :P But things like Dr. appt. and tax prep and stuff like that get in the way. It sure is a lot more fun packing and getting ready to go than unloading and cleaning up after the trip is over. DH ordered a laptop computer and I got a wifi booster antenna so next trip he'll be able to do some of his stuff on the road. Does anyone else experience that "let down" after a trip?? Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Red, how difficult is it to get a zip code change done so you can get locals? How often do you do it? Do they even have a clue why you want to do it?
(I don't remember if you have Directv at your home?)

Good Morning to all from cool foggy Mazatlan The sun has just popped up over the palm trees and is trying to shine through the fog.
boy for some reason my stomach is making a bunch of noise this morning. I was looking around trying to figure out what the heck the nosie was when I realized it was me.
We watched the Superbowl last night here on the Mexican station - what a trip! Sure sounds funny broad cast in Spanish - like a completely different game. GGGOOOOOAAALLLLL! And according to Bill the commentators were having fun with the black out - Said maybe they needed to send some electricians from MX to help out.
Yesterday Bill managed to figure out how to watch a soccer game on his laptop too - so it was a day of sports and not much else for us. Did go to the grocery store and buy a take out pizza - not too bad.
We will be here for another month - start out trip home early this year - around the 5th of March.
Shoot a bird just flew into the window..Guess he's okay cause he flew away. Today will be a run errands kind of day.
Drive careful if your traveling and enjoy the day where ever you are.
We have Direct TV and don't have to call to give zip code - we have a mobil set up where we get the east and west coast major channels no matter where we are - but we do not get local major channels - costs extra $15 a month.

Kathleen - the knee surgery was the best decision I ever made - I know have 2 bionic knees. And I'm working to get the weight off as well.

Red - I had a big letdown after my trip to AZ - especially since I had to turn around and go back to work. I think I could really get into traveling fulltime or at least long term. But I do like having my house to come back to - so I have a little room to spread out!

It's overcast this morning and looks like we have rain headed this way. We still haven't dried out from all the rain we got in January.

Kathleen, my DH suffered with knee pain for years and kept putting off surgery. Now he wishes he had done it sooner. He had double knee replacement 2 years ago in April and is doing fine. I don't know that I would recommend doing both at the same time but he was afraid if he just did one he wouldn't do the other one. The rehab after the surgery is hard but only lasted a couple of months.

Carolb, there are 2 of us near Lafayette, LA if you happen to land near there one day. Vickie lives in Sulphur, LA. Where are you headed to?

I'm still waiting to hear from the RV place. Not that I need my motorhome, just don't like to look out and not see it there.

Red, most of the time when I take a trip I hate to come home. The best was when I went to a wedding in Dallas and decided to go to Seattle. I haven't lived that one down yet.

Red....yes i always have a let down when we get home. I want to sort the mail, pay the bills, and then head out again. I guess that feeling is shared by Breezie as for several days after returning home she lays by the Shasta door, waiting to leave again!! I wouldn't want to be on the road full time but like Maggie said "long term" would suit me fine. I would have to drag and etra trailer aong for my sewing and knitting projects!
Winter is dragging on and on here. By the end of January i am ready to have te birds and butterflys backand the windows open. I try to spend those evenings sewing and embroidering. I look for dolls at thrift stores that are in reasonable shape, clean them up and sew a wardrobe for them and donate to our church's December craft show. Fun projects. This winter we are painting the kitchen. But that means taking down all the knick knacks and sorting thru them and deciding which ones i really want to keep and putting the rest in the garage sale pile. so many things get put on shelves and after a while I don't even notice them anymore. Hubby is just as bad as I am. Our rule is for everything new we bring in we have to take 3 things out but you know rules like that are followed.
Kathleen congratulations are you weight lose start. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last October and worked hard at dropping 20 pounds then the mid winter doldrums set in and I haven't worked at it for the last several weeks. Yesterday I gave my self a good talking to and the proverbial kick in the butt and started again. I will try the green tea too altho to me it taastes like tea made of grass.
have a great day all.

GOOD LATE MORNING ALL!

Congrats on your weight loss again, Kath!

Sorry to read about Tessa's not wanting to eat again----ups and downs and happiness and sadness all at once for us parents of ailing 4-footers. Sending strength your way, Sue.

Back in my Orlando house this morning, washing machine churning away with dirty GTG clothing and sheets, etc. I nearly plugged the bathtub drain yesterday when we got back here! BOYOBOY did that hot tub bath (my own bathtub) sure feel good!

Kathy has another appointment with the dermatologists this afternoon, and we are hoping that possibly all her biopsies are negative and nothing more need be done to those things. But she has another biopsy scheduled for today, also. I have another appointment for a full body search for nasties a week from today, and am hoping they won't find anything other than pre-cancerous things that they can treat by freezing. Sigh-----this aging skin is not as healthy as it could have been had I always worn sunscreen stuff. My zapped cancers are very painful now, very red, and I am just praying that those nasty cells are dying in agony! If any more turn out to be cancerous, it will be the MOH surgery for me next time. (I have no idea what MOH stands for, but you can look it up, as I can, too!)

The GTG was the best ever, and we made so many new friends as well as reuniting with some already friends. I am afraid I didn't take as many pics as I should have, but I did post two links to the slideshows I entered on Photobucket. They are found all over the place, so for those who only read the morning coffee posts, I will include them here once more. They are public slideshows, so no one should have a problem getting in to view them. However, I don't think I can do it from my tablet, and I have to learn why. I still have yet to see all the pics that others took, and I hope this computer will stay connected long enough for me to look today. It still doesn't boot up right or at all sometimes. I added the latest version of Java again last night, and got into the chatroom, but, of course, nobody was there. I will try to log in now at 7:00 eastern daylight time each night, if anyone would like to chat.

Hope all those on the roads are safe, having fair weather and meeting fine friends somewhere. I can't wait for more GTGs! I am looking into the Ruckus 2013 today, and will post possibilites and dates as soon as possible. The second week in August seems like a good time for it, wherever it will be.

Off I go to pedal to the club to deliver my club dues check and get into that nice hot tub!

Here are the two links to the slideshows I made:

Kathleen: I never could stand eating Greek yogurt. I just didn't like the sour taste. Then I tried Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt. It comes in lots of flavors but I like the cherry the best. It's 80 calories in 5.3 oz. 12g protein, 9g carbs, 8g sugar. I'm not sure what your diet requires, but you might want to check the stats and if it fits give it a try. I usually have one each day.

I get tickled when I see Dannon or Yoplait "Greek" yogurt. It's not true Greek yogurt. Granted it tastes good, but they have added thickeners to give it the texture. True Greek yogurt, whether made from cow's milk or goat's milk, is filtered to remove the excess whey. My boss uses cheesecloth and hangs his over the bath tub. He keeps telling me to make my own. No thank you, I will stick with the Chobani or Fage - although he says the Fage is closer to real Greek yogurt. And FYI - he's from Greece, Mykonos area.
