Happy Groundhog Day!! Saturday....

Well it's too early for "Phil" to see his shadow, but I predict that spring should be just around the corner... ;) Cause I'm so tired of cold morning walks at 5am with Spinner....it's 29F right now.....Burrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Got the coffee going and Oatmeal all made on the stove....we need some "stick to your ribs" food this morning.... ;)

It's bill paying day for me, then some grocery shopping later....didn't finish yesterday.....

Okay, better finish catching up here and get the checkbook balanced.....Have a great day, all.... :D

At another rally in Ocala. Heading to the club house to help my friend set up breakfast. Heater is on because it is very cold this morning. Need a cup of hot coffee. Lori, thank up for reminding us it is Groundhog Day!

Good Morning Lori, linann and all who follow,

I just saw it on the Weatehr Channel this morning, the the Groundhog has predicted an early spring! :D Boy i hope so as i am so tired of cold and snow. it's getting just deep enough that the girls and I can't go walk in our favorite places and are getting a bit bored walking up and down the road here. Think today I am going to haul them over to our little township park about a mile and a half from here and if it's plowed, which it has been, we will go walk along the road over there. Want a change of scenery.

Sorry to hear it's cooled down in the sunny south, but you know it willl only last for a while and back up it goes. My neighbors are down there and I hope it's warm where they are as they escaped the bitter cold of MI so she could breathe better with her new lungs.

Was just browing and posting on the ORS site and came across this link that was posted by a member over there. Very interesting and shows how one can really cut down expwnses if one wants to travel and doesn't mind small spaces, http://tinyhouselistings.com/my-traveli ... erties&utm I want to convert a cargo van into a workable camper too, but not sure I want to go that far although at 25 mpg, it's tempting.

Guess today's excitement here is going to be cranking up the snowblower and taking care of the few inches of lake effect that came down these past couple of days. Other than that, not much else. Am thinking it's time to start doing some spring cleaning and getting things in order around here, maybe making some cosmetic changes here and there. Seriously thinking of listing this stick and bricks later this spring. Have a chance to move north like I said or else I will stay in this area and just downsize Sure got a whopper gas bill from last month

Glad to hear that all who left the FL GTG have reached other destinations safely and those who are still there are continuing to party on. Enjoy.

Well, enough chatter this morning. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning Lori, Linda, Sue and all who follow. It is a little nippy here this morning too. Not bad. Sue, reading about all your snow there, I am definitely not complaining. Supposed to warm up to 70 this afternoon. Got tickled when I was car shopping yesterday. I had on a sleeveless top and was very comfortable. People all around me had coats on. I bet they thought I was weird.

Sue, I think you should do what will make you the happiest. To me, reading all your posts since I have joined, I think going north is what you really want to do. Life is too short and I sure don't want you to regret in later years that you did not do what makes you happy.

I started looking at braking systems last night. Am interested in the Stay In Play. If anyone uses this system, I would really like to know if you like it or not. If not, why. I sure sounds like it would be simple to use. I need to call Alliance RV to see if they order the parts I will need to set my new to me car up for towing or if I need to do it and then take them the parts. Will probably call them on Monday after I pick it up.

Today is going to be a great day for visiting. My aunt, whom I have not seen for quite a few years, and Barb Zee are coming over this afternoon. I am really looking forward to seeing the both. Zee is bringing me my new kayak. It was delivered yesterday. Woohoo! I will have to find out if there are any rivers around here to try it out. If not, I am sure there will be a lake or something on our trip back to OK.

I need to get my chores done, but am going to drink another cup of coffee first. Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning Lori, Linda, Sue, Dawn & all who follow,
Not much going on here today - looking forward to getting up to the 40s after single digits. Thanks for letting us know that we'll have an early spring, Sue - can't wait!

Alot of excitement elsewhere though -
New members, new rigs, problems (bummer on tripping, Wendy - no matter what the real story is) :? , pets doing better (yea for Ms Tessa), traveling, resting, on & on..
Congrats on the Fit & the kayak, Dawn! what fun! :D
Sue, deciding on selling, moving..ouch on that gas bill. I agree with Dawn - life's too short. I usually start walking the pathway I want to go & ask for divine guidance to stop me if I'm on the wrong path - if things fall into place, I take that as a green light that all will be ok.

I'm grateful that its Saturday with only a couple of plans for the weekend- vet coming out today for annual shots, etc & then meeting with sibs for breakfast tomorrow.
Can't wait for that warmer weather to get the travelin van out of storage & have her sitting in my driveway again. Maybe get her out for next weekend for a little visit if the weather holds.

Well, better get moving- maybe I'll make some of that great chicken soup recipe that Linda posted earlier (FL GTG thread).
Take care & be safe everyone...

Glorius day out here in Glamis, weather is super perfect and I'm having a blast! My camera didn't do the sunrise justice this morning, the oranges and reds were spectacular.

good morning ladies and somehow I have that little tune stuck in my head, good morning, good morning, something something,,, think it came from
one of those disney stories, maybe Cinderella. Anywho, I woke up this morning thinking my clock was wrong and how did that happen. Had to verify
the time by looking at my phone, yep, it really was going on 7 am. and for the first time I'm not even going to worry about laundry today, I'll do it
tomorrow ;) Instead,,,I'm driving out to my rv, get the measurements I need for project preps and the tire size and just sit for a few minutes and
gloat "its MINE" :D
Later in the day I can "pre-do" my income tax and see what thats going to look like, a couple extra tax documents I received I hadn't counted on
but make sense, I just have to figure out where the figures go. Go figure :D
Then I'll start planning the "new" budget and figure in the expense for the girls dental work. They are both going to loose teeth. Hopefully I can get
that process started the end of February.
Time for more coffee and fill my tummy with a bowl of cereal topped with a sliced up banana. Oh yum.
Ya'll have a great day and happy safe travels to ya's, here's hoping you have good weather, spring is on the way. :D

A quick good morning as I am suppose to be ready to ride to Lake Mittrey in an hour! I am a slow starter.

Thanks for posting the small living space link, Sue. I hadn't looked at it on ORS yet so took a quick look. And people think I live in small quarters now!! :)

Great ride yesterday. Card bingo with my friend Marcia last night. Warmer weather!!

Love all the exciting news, planning, etc on here. Kathleen, I am sorry to hear about your daughter! I don't do pain or even discomfort well so can't imagine. Congrats on the weight loss!!

Have a good day all!

Was supposed to get to 20 today but it is only 7 right now at 2pm. Supposed to start warming up sometime next week tho.

Got sent home early today since it wasn't busy enough (actually they had too many of us scheduled for today). Tonight my family is going out for dinner for my brother's birthday (maybe I can fit mine in there too since I didn't get to celebrate it at all). Italian dinner! Yum!

Have a good day! :D

Hi Dawn: Which brand and model of kayak did you get? I'm really interested in getting one. Thanks.

Sandi, I got the Sea Eagle 330 Pro Solo. I ordered it directly from Sea Eagle and got it on sale with no tax or shipping charges. I am really excited. Barb brought it to me today. I am going to take it out of the boxes tomorrow and blow it up. I bought a life preserver and water shoes today. Bright Pink and Black! So me. Paul just laughed when he saw them.
