Tuesday Morning Early...

Good morning, all...Well, Spinner got Ernie up at 3:30am to go out....and I woke up as they went out the door....(why do men/boys always have to slam the door when they go out it??  ) and that got me up.... But since I went to bed at 9pm, I guess I'll get over it as I got a good 6 hrs. sleep.....

Today is laundry....usually do it on Mondays, but had morning company for coffee and chat, so it's top of the "things to do" list for today....

I missed Mitch's story about getting stuck behind the washer/dryer yesterday and saw it when I read thru it today.....I really think she should write a book on her adventures... I'd buy it.... ;)

Hope Carolb got her leaks and that "squirrel" under the hood all fixed... ;)

We are still having summer in the middle of January here in GA....82F yesterday.....and suppose to be almost the same today...but rain coming tomorrow, then that "old Jet Stream" bring the cold air is coming after that....so the GA "January thaw" will soon be over....

Okay, got coffee and cranberry/orange mini muffins here for you...help yourself... :)

Have a great day, all..

Gosh, I was hoping I would be the first to post here but alas, Lorie is awake a lot earlier than me. Why am I up? Today I report to Disney U for my Traditions class. It's my first day so I'll keep you all posted.

BTW, weather is beautiful in the 80's. Margie and I went to Clearwater Beach yesterday and then got strawberry shortcake in Plant City on the way back home. Well off I go to get indoctrinated to the Disney way!

Wow! Lots of early birds posting today. Lori, those muffins do sound tempting. Having my tea right now as I try to get my eyes wide open. Sunny here and in the high 70s. Had several small showers yesterday so no beach time but plan to make up for it today.

Carolyn, have fun earning your ears! Good luck to all who are on the road today. Hope you have no wind or rain to get through. Think I'll try to find time to get my kayak wet.

Have fun all!

Good morning Lori, Carolyn, Carolb & everyone!

Lori, thanks for breakfast. Your mini muffins are always good, so I'll have one of those, please.

Carolyn, good luck today! Let us know how things went.

Carol, looking forward to another visit later.

I've been having computer problems this morning, so I'm a little frustrated. On my laptop, my mifi was connected but I couldn't connect to the internet. On Steve's laptop, I got online & it quit. After several attempts to no avail, I took the battery out of the mifi thingy, let it rest, and it started working again. I guess I'll pull my laptop out again, but later, and see if it'll connect. Always something.

There is a potluck at the clubhouse this evening, so I'm going to get meatballs going and let them simmer in the crockpot all day. Other than that, just another beautiful day in Florida. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Morning ladies. Looking forward to more pictures of mini gtg's! I know Liz will remember her camera!

Getting ready to call the vets this morning and see how the old man kitty did last night. I'm so hoping he is rallying around and that we have bought him some time. The juvenile kittie, cinnamon, has been looking for him.

I'm having lunch today with my BFF and have another lunch date scheduled for Thursday with another bf. she and her hubby are trying to sell their house so they can full time in their rv. Need to talk with her and see if I can rekindle this dream I have of living on the road too. The dream used to be really clear, but this past summer something happened that made me doubt it would ever happen for me. I'm not even sure what happened...just know that I'm struggling with keeping the dream alive. But no other dream has surfaced to replace this one, so I'm guessing this is just one of the trials and tribulations I need to go thru? It all happens for a reason.

Still dreary here in md. Would love to see some sunshine, but guess Mother Nature just isn't feeling it right now.

Sarah, I hope the weather breaks for you and you can get headed to Florida.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Good Morning from the chilly 45th,

Winter is back. Whether we like it or not. Our beautiful mild weather has headed south and from the sounds of it, won't be there long either. Sorry those of you down that way. I was so enjoying the nice mild temps here this past weekend, but know that we need the snow moisture for the ground, the lakes etc. But hey, we will be half way through winter pretty soon and the days are getting longer.

Gosh, miss a couple of days on here and can't catch up. Everybody's going in different directions it seems. Lori, your muffins sounds so good, you've got me hungry and I just finished breakfast.

Carolb, I'm so glad you are enjoying your trip and getting to have all kinds of mini GTG's. Dawn, hope you get your MiFi problems straightened out. Also hoping the weather breaks so those who are getting ready to head for FL GTG can get on the road. And BJ, hope Elsie gets fixed so you two can get on the road. That GTG sounds like it's going to be so much fun. Maybe I can get to one next year if there is one.

All the limbs, branches and smaller tree logs are history around here now. The tree service finished chipping them up yesterday. All i have left is some logs that were a bit too big for this chipper to handle. So neighbor is going to cut them up into more manageable pieces and I will stack them up and use them for campfire wood in my backyard fire ring later on. Once the snow melted away from everything over the weekend, I found some more tree damage on my property, but mostly just small limbs that broke and are hanging down, plus an entire spruce tree top. Will cut them down later when weather breaks. Minor stuff.

Got a homecooked prescription diet recipe from the vet for Ms. Tessa yesterday, so am heading to the store for the goodies to make it up for her and get her to start eating again. We also stopped the anitbiotics for a few days. She has no appetite whatesoever, but will eat ground beef which is the basis for this recipe. So I am about to become a doggie "chef" here. If she will eat this and get some weight back on, then I might mix a litte into the prescription canned food and keep my fingers crosses. She's getting so thin.

So, am off to get this day moving. Will go shopping and then see if my friend down in Roscommon is going to be home and go visit with her. Haven't seen her since before Thanksgiving cause I was gone. If not, will start into something here at the house. Weather forecast looks like it's going to be good stay inside for the most part weather. But we will bundlle up and go for walk every day though. Well, I might leave Ms. Tessa behind for a while as she has lost so much weight I don'twant her losing any more from walking. We shall see. Have a great day all and those on the road, keep safe.

Good morning everyone. We are in Tucson, AZ. (Notice my new map in my signature). Drove all day yesterday to try and get to the west side of this cold front. It was suppose to be below freezing and possible snow in west TX and NM for the next three nts. It was 15 here this morning when I walked Tyler. (He's still on central time and we are mow in mountain time.) But, last night was the last night of freezing weather for the next couple weeks in AZ. It'll still be chilly, but not below freezing :P Where we are parked is just the opposite of camping. It is more of an RV country club. 250 spots. Beautiful paved roads. Big and wide gravel pull through spots. Outdoor patio with wrought iron patio set with your own citrus bearing tree. still very small. Paved parking spot for you vehicle. Trash pick up service everyday, wifi that is strong and works, cable TV, 2 hose connecters. There are washers and dryers that accept debit/credit cards and will text you when your clothes are done. Pool, hot tub, huge fenced dog yard. Security gate with 24/7 security. And a restaurant that is open for B, L & D. Which I'm headed to shortly when they open @ 8. There is a huge RV sales place and a Camping World connected. I wonder if they use this place to help sell the RV life style?? I'm sure many people enjoy this style, and DH likes it. But I'd much rather be in a State, National or COE camp ground. That's camping. Anyway, we will be headed out to do the tourist stuff the next fe days. Then off to Q. Looking forward to meeting everyone out there. Everyone have a great day and stay safe on the road. Aloha y'all.

Good morning everyone from rainy MS. It is pouring outside again this morning. We are under a flash flood watch this morning. It sounds so much worse for Sarah, though. I sure hope she can get to Magic today and hopefully start heading south to FL. We are still planning on trying to get on the road tomorrow. It is looking like it will be our window to get out of here before Thursday. My weather apps are predicting some snow for this part of MS Wednesday night into Thursday.

Got a lot done yesterday inside the rig to get things finally stowed into the storage areas Mom was using. When we get a break in the rain, am going to walk down to her cabin to take her the lantern she has in one of my outside bays. I had forgotten it was in there, and she might need it if electricity goes out here for some reason.

Carolb, it sounds like you are having so much fun with your mini GTG's. You go girl!

Red, I am with you. I like state parks and COE much better than any of the private CG's we have stayed in. Enjoy the resort feel while you are there. Be sure and post pics of your adventures there.

Sure hoping Ms. Tessa does better on the homemade diet and starts putting weight back on. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I am also hoping the vet can get Elvis turned around too. Paulette, I know this is really hard on you. Enjoy your lunch today with your friend.

Irmi, I had to reset my MiFi a couple times yesterday. I guess because of the weather. So far today, have not had any connection problems. Enjoy your day with carolb.

Horizonseeker, have fun on the beach today!

Carolyn, seconding have fun getting your ears today

Lori, no fun getting woke up that early. LOL, men don't think about doors slamming. If they are up, everyone should be up. Those muffins sound really good.

I have my bluetooth charged and ready to go for tomorrow. I am really itching to get on the road again. Cannot wait to be in FL.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Red - that's the total opposite of where we were in Tucson and I loved our spot - thanks to Beth! But we didn't have 15° temps in Tucson - it waited until we got to Grand Canyon for that.

It's cold and drizzly here and no sun until maybe Thursday or Friday. I want some sun! At least I'm not having to worry about flooding - hope Huntsville is ok this morning.

And I'm ready for some more camping.

Sitting in Ft Myers Camping World waiting for my dish to be installed. It was not a good start to my day. After getting up early and driving 54 miles here, when I went to the service desk to drop off my keys, told the service person why I was here, and she began to schedule me for Friday. WHAT??? Turns out she had missed the part about my having an appointment for today and had not found it on the computer. I told her if I had to wait until Friday, I would walk out immediately and never, ever return to this Camping World!! At this point, she found my appointment. Hope it goes OK. Seems like everything takes two trips somewhere to get it done right.

Told them here I need to be out of here by 3:00 pm so I can get back to campsite before dark as I cannot back in after dark. Collier-Seminole State Park has very tight sites, which is a problem when you have to come and go the way I do. It is an older park, and they need to remove some of the smaller campsites and a lot of trees. (On line some say they are acceptable for 14' RVs!) I watched and then helped one guy and his wife last night back in their small trailer with only 1" clearance between trees on either side!! That is ridiculous. The trees are cabbage palms, by the way, not big live oaks or something that took generations to grow. The spot next to me has an indentation for a storm sewer and I watched someone almost tip a trailer in two days ago.

I bent my bike rack frame last week after backing into a telephone pole. (Don't ask.) I discovered yesterday when I took my bike off to go for a ride that the rear wheel was also bent, so both the rack and the bike are at the bike repair place. Need to pick both up on my way back to the state park, also.

Not real confident about today, so hope things go better than I expect.

My red roses are beautiful----planted by my father down here in 1981! I love them!

Sunset on birthday evening 2013. What a beautiful present!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I have been relearning Photobucket as Webshots has turned into something I don't understand any more. I hope these turn out ok.

It's another beautiful, warm day down here. I will pump up my bike tires this morning and head to the pool for some sun (greatly UV protected sun these days with skin cancer attacking my body!) and some water time. Then for a dog walk this afternoon. It's a tough life down here in the sunshine state this winter!

It sounds as if all are very busy doing many things, although the repair things wouldn't be missed!

Sure hope Paulette's kitty and Sue's Tessa can hang onto some more time with a happy life. That's the one thing about living and life----it is always, always too short for both man and beast. But I suppose we have no choice in this app, eh? (Notice I actually used the short form of application now that I have a tablet and need to get into the lingo!)

I hope all are ok and doing something to make you feel good and alive and happy. I found some pics on Photobuckket of the last year's GTG that I'm not sure I shared-----or maybe it was the Fredericksburg GTG on my way home.. I'm not sure yet as I want to get this posted and me into action. I will check out what I have on Photobucket later and post anything fun!

Happy Tuesday to all!

I'm with your DH Red, I would love the place you are in now, I don't like the great outdoors much and I particularly don't like being in the sun!! I don't like to stay in hotels though so love having my RV so I can sleep in my own bed. Love it that the laundry texts you when your laundry is done.
The sun is out but still not going to get much above freezing today. I have a couple of errands but will wait for afternoon.
Sue, at this point with Tessa I'd feed her what she will eat as long as it is a really good brand of food, if she stops eating or gets too thin to fight off health issues it will be just as bad as the kidney problem I would think. At one point when they tried to get me to feed that food from the vet to Charley and he kept refusing I decided I would feed him a good diet that he liked and he lived several more years.
Paulette I hope the vet had good news for you this morning about Elvis.
