Well, got the propane heat going and the space heater, too.....Even though it's 45F, between the humidity, fog, and the forecast of rain makes it feel like 32F here today...

Got the holiday cleaning done and the tree up yesterday and all Christmas Slippers finished yesterday, so I'm just going to "chill" inside today.....maybe even go back to bed for awhile....nah...probably just a nap sometime this afternoon.... ;)

Okay, coffee is ready here and the orange rolls are just out of the oven....help yourself.... ;)

Have a great day, all...

good morning ladies
up an hour early cause my mind knew it was payday and I wanted to get the debts paid and plan the budget.
Its really cold and they actually had a little freeze warning out for areas outside the city and recommended
folks cover their flowers last night.
It will be a broken schedule today, high school gets early release but elementary doesn't so I'm gonna get
some of that boring downtime during the day. Will probably spend my time at the store picking up a few
last minute items.
Girls are up and wanting breakfast and I need to get ready for work. Ya'll have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Good morning all, the temps have dropped to the high 50s, but with strong winds of 25 mph from the NW, making it a very blustery day as Pooh would say. Definitely fireplace weather. Heading to the store to get a soup bone and a lot of root veggies to make vegetable beef soup and a big loaf of sheperd's bread. I'll take some down to Birdie and Sprinter. Sprinter continues the tests. Had MRI yesterday and more tests today. The waiting game is hard.

Love all the mini GTGs and pictures from everyone. I definitely have hitch itch and can't wait for January to arrive. Wait! That's just 11 days!! Goody, goody. Better start getting the 5er ready. Everyone stay warm and safe. Aloha, y'all

Good morning Lori, Ava, Carolb, Red & everyone that follows!

Carolb, I learned from hearing how many people had lost their posts, that I copy all posts before hitting the submit button, just in case someone posts the same time I do. Patience is not always my virtue first thing in the morning.

I'll be leaving after I get a workout in so stay the day and night with my parents again. I went a couple days ago and Mom wasn't feeling well. She had a stomach virus or something and she was feeling pretty rough for a couple days. But when I talked to her yesterday, she sounded much better and was anxious for me to get there and prepare some more meals for them. I've asked them if they would like to go to FL with us but they said they're not up to trips like that anymore, so this will be my last overnight visit with them until we get back in the spring. They always have the local family over on Christmas day for the traditional brunch, which is always a lot of fun.

The workers are still working on the house from the flood and things are falling into place. The downstairs bathroom is done and I think they'll finish the utility room today. Since we won't have any lighting in our kitchen once the ceiling comes down, that work will wait until after we leave for our trip, which is this coming Wednesday!

Have a wonderful day everyone and those on the road, please be safe.

Good morning everyone. It is cloudy and windy but still a fairly warm 57 here this morning. The front is moving in though and supposed to be 39 by noon with really strong winds. I'm going to do my one errand soon!.
I had a sleepless night, last time I looked at the clock it was 3:00AM finally drifted off and dreamed I was held hostage by a kidnapper. Was relieved to wake up at 4:30, I gave up and got up. Lori I may be having an afternoon nap with you!

Irmi happy to hear your repairs are being completed, I know you will be glad to start your trip soon and be out of the construction zone.

For anyone who might be interested, I just saw someone post that this Kindle book "Overfed and Undernourished" was free for a couple of days on Amazon and I just downloaded it to my iphone. The Amazon description says, "If You Want To Eat A Healthier Diet And Don't Know Where To Begin, This Book Is For You". Most of the food we eat today does not support our health. Overfed and Undernourished takes you on an excursion into our world of modern day food."

Better get going before it gets really cold out, 39 and high winds will feel like winter for sure!

Good morning everyone. We had a storm come through early this morning with high winds. The rig was really rocking there for a few minutes. Wasn't sure we weren't having a tornado. Accuweather is saying we will have gusts up to 45 mph off and on today.

Mom got phone call yesterday that her little sister is back in hospital after having her gall bladder out the other day. abdomen filling with fluid and she has blood clots in her lungs. We are all worried. I remember how scared I was when Mom had a clot go through her lungs. Nurse told me how dangerous that is. Mom is saying she may have to fly up to VT from here. Told her if she did, she could just fly back into where ever we were at the time she comes back. We would just come get her at whatever airport she flies into.

Going to be wrapping gifts here today and putting together the flight cage that came in yesterday. Got 2 more parakeets yesterday to keep Betty Bird company. They are all pretty quiet this morning. Snow and Yancy are getting used to the movement and noises here. Betty Bird is moving around like normal. The other two will settle in over the next couple of days, especially once I get their flight cage put together.

Sharlotte, hope Savannah is feeling better.

Red, 11 days goes really quick. Give Sharon and Birdie a hug for me today.

Lori, enjoy your quiet day. You've earned it, girl.

Carolb, hope you day gets better. I've already had my bout with tears this morning. It just does not seem like Christmas without Chuck. I will be really glad when Christmas is over.

Irmi, glad to hear everything is moving along. Have fun on your trip.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning,

I have a frozen hose here in Salome this morning :( I forgot to let the faucet drip. I usually unhook the hose, but there is an issue with the water pump that I haven't dealt with.

I am also up early as we have to leave at 7:50 for our 9 o'clock appt in Wickenburg at the dermatologist. LeRoy has been going for skin cancers and I decided I should go ahead and have a couple places checked just to make sure.

We spent a few days in Yuma with friends. Ate out way too much. Got in a couple quad rides. My first time to ride sand dunes - it was a fairly gentle ride, but I can see how Sharon could roll her RZR while having fun! :) I was glad to come home and to have my own space for a day -- well there were a few interruptions.

Must get ready to get out the door..

The front came through here sometime early this morning but I slept through it. There were 48 mph winds north of here that caused power outages but we must have received the tail end of it. It's still pretty breezy. Suppose to be in the 30's at night for a couple of nights and then warm back up. I have another list going for Walmart. Looks like I could get everything I need on one trip. Just hope I don't forget my list when I go.

I got my ironing done yesterday. I have too many clothes loaded for a week. Need to see if I can unload something. The tire place called and they think they have some extensions for my front tires so I can put tire sensors. Have to unhook and go see what they have.

The Ellen show is on and she said when she is Christmas shopping she asks herself if she would like what she is looking at and if the answerer is yes, she buys it for herself. That sounds like my Christmas shopping. It's one for them and 2 for me.

For the ones losing posts, if you don't see the message that your message posted you can scroll down and see your post and any that were added while you were typing. Since I learned to do that I haven't lost any posts.

Sorry, Carol -- I was so excited yesterday that I forgot I might be confusing. Sister #2 is my younger sister. She lives locally but doesn't have much time to play while classes are in session. We're having lunch and shopping this afternoon. :D

I married into an Asian family and got used to having birth-order titles for everybody as well as names. Now it's kind of a joke that I share with people I love (blood kin and heart kin). Silly, really, but we enjoy it. I forget that not everybody is in on the joke!

Good Morning from the snowy U.P.,

Wow, I didn't get on here yesterday and looks like I missed a lot. Will go back and do some ready and play catch up, if there is such a thing as catch up. Seem like there was a little riff along the way too, but not going back there as fences are mended anyway.

Dawn, I hope you mom doesn't have to fly back to VT right now, right into a major winter storm would not be a good idea. I hope the doctors can get the problems taken care of, so she doesn't have to. Prayers going out in her direction.

Hope all those who are having to deal with Draco, are keeping warm, safe and what not. This is one nasty storm. Some areas are socked in with snow, some under tornado warnings (in December?) and others are in the projected path. Hang in there all.

Up here where I am, this county is under a Winter Storm Warning, but I am about 3 miles from the country line of a county that is under a Winter Weather Advisory. So it will be interesting to see how it all takes shape. I'm really hoping for a nice dump of snow, so we have a white Christmas and I know the owners are hoping or it too, so they can' have a "Green" Christmas with snowmobilers coming in to play in the stuff. But there is so much snow supposed to fall, south and east of here, they will probably all stay down there and play instead, which is what she said happens in caases like this. Right now we have a dusting on the ground and I still see some bare ground patches here and there. Down near Gaylord, where I live, they are also under a Winter Storm Warning for up to 12-14 nile an hour winds. Was talking to a friend via Facebook just now and thye already have about 4, so things are going to get mighty nasty down there later with 50 mph wind gusts expected. A full out Blizzard I think.

Sounds like everybody on here are wrapping up the last minute Christmas doings, getting ready for the big day, for those who will be gathering with family and I know others are planning to GTG with friends. I will be here on Christmas Day with the girls, enjoying a nice Pork Loin dinner and looking out over the lake. Christmas Eve will find me at church of course and then back home. Nothing special, just enjoying a U.P. Christmas. It's where I want to be.

Liz, thank you for those beautiful pictures. You certainly are in a good area for doing that and also have the photographers eye.

Well, tummy is calling for lunch. so am going to get going here before I post this thing after noon here. You all have a wonderful day and stay safe if in the path of Draco.

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL.

Bright, sunny, warm day here in St. Cloud----almost 80 degrees, light breeze. Sure hope you keep that tornado weather up with you, Liz!

Doc appointment went well this morning. I begged, pleaded, everything but throw a tantrum to beg that these cancers be removed PRONTO. Upshot was, they called around and found me an appointment for 10:00 am tomorrow morning to have both cancer sites radiated. Luckily, my health insurance covers the facility. (I sure do hope they are right as I will need two to three zappings per week for about 5 weeks.) I chose radiation rather than surgery as they treat both cancers at one time rather than cut one out, then cut the other one. Also, easier to heal up, I believe.....no skin grafts or stitches needed, hopefully. I showed them another questionable lesion on one leg, was told that is what squamous cell carcinoma looks like before it becomes cancerous, and he immediately froze it to stop it in its tracks, hopefully.

I am sure hoping my treatments will be done by the time of the FL GTG, but, if not, I will have to drive back here twice during the time and get zapped. It's a long drive from there. Oh well----it has to be done, and the sooner the better, as far as I'm concerned.

Kids are leaving for Tampa and Melissa's parents on Saturday, and I will stay home to get whatever treatments will be required. Good excuse to not be able to go with them! I will probably go home after the doc tomorrow, or maybe wait until Saturday morning when they leave. Will decide tomorrow.

No more news from here. Supposed to cool off for the weekend (cool for Floridians, but still very warm for Adirondackers!) and get down into the 50s.

Hope all is well with everyone, and that your Christmas chores are about done. I wish I had some money to complete mine!

Happy Thursday. Let's hope we will all still be here as we are tomorow at this time, Mayan calendar, or not!
