Good Morning Carolb, Lori and all,
Another chilly morning here in the U.P. About 18 degrees with a bit of a breeze. But supposed to go up to near 30 today. And next few days are showing 30's for temps. Now I know that sounds cold for those of you who are not used to the cold, but for here, it's mild. No snow in sight either till the weekend, and even that's no big deal. Had an email from the neighbor who is watching my house and taking in mail, the they had about 5 inches of snow down there and he blew out my drive. Nice. All told, I really could care less about that place right now. My heart is up here and if feels more like home. But then it's cause I"ve been coming here for a number of years and am familiar with the area and getting more so as time goes one. Also cause I am on a lake to, which i love. Now, if I could just find a way to hit the lotto (never play it though),
I could buy a cottage on the lake and park myself permanently.
Red, loed your description of sitting in front of a warm fire with a good book and a hot drink. Reminded me of all the years we had a fireplace too. I miss that. One thing about this forum, it's given us a good insight into how we live in different parts of the country. I never thought those down in TX would have need for a fireplace for instance.
Nothing much planned for today Some work on Christmas sign, which isn't turning out like I want, but one always has to have those prototypes anyway. Will refine the next one. Will probably start Christmas cards as well. Need to get them out and gone. Course doggie walks are on the agenda too. Ms. Tessa is kind of quiet of lete. I had to start her back on her antibiotics again and I knew they would make her sleep more and not eat etc. Doc. suggested maybe trying her on 3 pills a day and see what happens. I had been giving her 2 before and he said that was okay too. But now that she is back on 2, same result, so I am going to try just 1 a day for awhile. These pills are the one thing that's helping with the infection and keeping the kidney disease at bay. So no pill for her this morning. Maybe later this week, we will take a ride West and see what's up over that way. I think we might be able to get into Van Riper State Parks campground and go walking yet as the snow is only about 3-4 inches deep right now, although with my girls, their feet get ice balls cause of the fur. So have to stop and have paw cleaning once in awhile.
I know you are waiitng for some pictures from up here, but honestly, there isn't much going on right now and i haven't really been out to take any yet. Will post some of my digs here though as soon as I take them. I have a number of pictures from this area posted in General Talk from being here in October if anybody wants to see what it's lke up here thought.
Enough rambling about nothing here. Am heading off. Have a wonderul day all, stay safe, happy and healthy. And today's date by the way is the last we will see of the month, day and year all the same in our lifetime. It will be a long time before the same month, day and year come around again
