Rabbits anyone? Sat the first

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rabbits anyone? Sat the first

Postby carolb » Sat Dec 01, 2012 7:45 am

Good morning all, & if yew haven't spoken a word yet, make the first be "rabbits"??! ;) I'm not getting it, & of corse, said a few words to my dogs before remembering. Bt with friends like y'all, good times are in store. Sharon? Yew better today??? Yikes, I did see the news of those horrific storms in the SF Bay area. G'grief, both coasts being hit within a month of each other--is someone trying to make a point??? So anyone in the SF area, please be safe. New mattress arrived 7 p.m.! Stayed awake til 9 to let it "breathe" a bit. Sleeping was stil a pain  yet others have told me it takes a few nights, a week, to settle into the feel of the memory foam  Somehow I slept til 6:15 a.m.tho!!! A qwiet wkend for me--HarBor gets some attention this weekend. Time to kick on the genny & take a short day trip for engine maintenance. Have not tended to his exterior. To be in the 50's tomorrow! Crazy weather. Wherever y'all are, be safe & have a great day 8-)

Morning everyone,

Yep, no RABBITS here this morning either. Tessa woke me up in the wee a.m. to go potty, so my thoughts were more in that direction. You know, the mudduled half asleep state

So here, we are, the first day of December. That new year is only 30 days away  Seems like we just started 2012, but guess it's time to be shed of it and hope for a new start again next year. It's been quite a ride this year.

Red, glad to see the computur issues finally got solved. You may have been right charging them rent for being there so long. Hopefully all will go well now.

BJ got her rig all nice and washed and waxed. Ready to hit the road somewhere's.

Maggie, the trip I cancelled to the U.P. was not one of my annual ones. This would have been the first time i have ever been up there this time of year. My annual trip is usually the first week or so of October, when the fall colors are in. There's no saying that I might not change my mind yet, but will wait and see what develops at the vet next week. The one upside of it is that my budget is tight right now, so the money might be better off being left where it is for now.

Wendy, Carol and Sarah had a mini GTG. Can't wait to see the pics and hear about it.

Judy, you are indeed rolling along. That's a lot of miles, but then I did that with my friends when we went to AK. Drove a bit over 7,000 miles in a month cause that's all the time we had. But it was an enjoyable trip. You are now where you can relax a bit and stay put here and there. At least until your wanderlust urge takes over again.

Gena, yea for you. You drove the rig all by yourself and even braved the dumpstation. You go girl. :D Isn't that nice having the feeling of confidence.

Sharon, sorry to hear about your checking account. I pay my bills online too and hopefully that won't happen to me. Right now I just get the bills on line and then pay them myself through my one checking account. Nobody has that number that way. But down the line I might change it to direct payments. I sounds like you were definitely having an off day yesterday. Couldn't get the right stuff for dinner either. Oh well. You tried. Somedays things just don't seem to go right for nothing.

As for me. Guess I will head to town this mornng. Ms. Tessa is really chomping down the Science Diet food although she did throw up a little bit this morning from last night. So hard to say what that's all about. Could be the food, could be she's eating it too fast or could be another stage in the kidney disease starting up. Otherwise she's fine. Also too bad that we can't experiment of other brands of Prescription food, but there are no distributors up here for other than Science Diet. Vet would love to carry some other too, but no luck. But anyway, need to pick up a few more cans. And go to the store and look at some toys. Want to get something for the Toys to Tots program before the last day. There was a bad fire up here last month that totally destroyed one of the laundry and dry cleaners. That building was part of a strip mall and in that strip mall, there was a vacant store that had been donated for the use of the community giving program and Toy for Tots to set up, organize and package up the gifts for distribution. They had just started setting up and getting organized when the fire hit. Due to a fire wall, the rest of the mall was okay, but the store fronts and office directly adjacent to the fire suffered heavy smoke, soot and water damage. Needless to say, over $15,000 in toys and clothing was wiped out. So they have to start all over again. The community has rallied and a massive drive is currently underway. Seems everybod's donating something and a lot of these people had already donated once before. Some businesses are giving away slices of pizza, drinks, ice cream etc. if you bring in a toy, there has been and continues to be a variety of fund raising events, even the school hockey team challenged the other teams to bring in toys etc. This are is known for its' generosity in time of need and they sure are coming throuogh. Somebody wrote a letter to the Ellen Degenris show on Facebook and the site has generated over 20,000 likes so far.

Well, enough chatter. Time to get moving and get out there. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good morning, all...Well, we're safely settled in at Nibletts Bluff Park, Vinton, LA...Would have posted this last night, but the air card signal was too weak to run both computers on the router, so had to wait til this morning after Ernie hooked up the external antenna to the card and climbed up on the roof with it....but it's going great now... ;) Called Vickie to let her know we got here last night and we planned to get together today....We really like the park, the grass and the trees are making Spinner happy during his walks....he looks at us as if to say..."I remember these".....  Have been watching the fishermen launch their boats into the river since daybreak...and the campfires are going..Haven't had a campfire since August.......will have to put "wood for fire" on our shopping list....we're going back over the state line to shop one more time at a TX H.E.B.....Ernie loves that store....  He wants to take TX brisket back to GA for his cooking buddy, Andy, to try....

Okay, he's pushing me to get off here and get ready to go to the store...have the batteries charging for photo opts today.....

Have a great day, all...

RABBITS!! yes, I remembered and hopefully I'll have a good month and good morning everybody. Did not know of the storm that hit SF but have turned on the news to catch up on world happenings. The only thing planned for today is laundry cause last weekend the washer broke but I put the new belt on it Wednesday and we're good to go. I'm proud of myself for doing that, didn't even ask anyone for help although I did pull up the info sheet from the manufacturer to find out how to do it. I love the internet :D Will also mop my tile today and if I feel real energetic doing that I just might carry that mop right into the
bathroom.
Grandson #2 came over last night so guess he's spending the weekend with his dad. But he came in to chat with me a little last night, guess he's working on
making sure his name is planted in my memory banks for Christmas. The grandsons are easy, they are teenagers and all they want is money.
Lots of little mini gtg's lately, including Beth and I last Sunday and pics are coming soon.
Yea for Gena, getting the dumping thing down all by herself, keep that up Gena and you'll be teaching hubby how to do things. ;)
Lori's planted in Nibletts for a short while and will look forward to another mini gtg from her.
Lots of little puppers on different diets lately, hope that goes well for all.
Off to catch more posts and do fb, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

RABBITS!! I did it. Just waking up. Let Tyler out. Grabbed iPad. Read the title and immediately said, "rabbits". So it was actually the first vocal sound I made this morning. Hope it brings me luck

I'm new to the change of seasons thing. These past couple years have been my first experience with seasons. I know that SE Texas is moderate, but none the less, there are definite seasons. I love the way the front of the house faces south. There are three large big oak trees strategically planted along the front of the house that provide shade during the summer and voila, a magic day and all the leaves start to fall so the sun can warm the house in winter. How do they (the trees) know when to do that? ( Yes, I know the scientific answer) but I just love the rhythm of nature. I love reading the explanations ancient cultures had for the changing of the seasons and their rituals to bring the sun back! Sometimes you can depend on her (nature) and sometimes she throws you for a loop.....just like life  OK, so it is jut 3 weeks from the first day of winter and the oak trees in the front yard have just decided to let go of their leaves. A bit late this year. It'll be in the high 70s again today. Just wonderful!! Perfect weather!! I love it.

DH said we were going to leave at 8am to go to a gun show at the convention center. At 7:45 he turned the alarm off, rolled over and went back to sleep. It's 9:30 and he's still sleeping. So I'm gonna skip the gun show and take Tyler for a walk and attempt to geocache some more. Took daughter to find a cache and we couldn't find it. But she is intrigued and is trying it out in Seattle :P

I'm just rambling now. Hope Tessa and Abby are doing better. Wishing you all a great day and stay safe if you are traveling. Aloha y'all

Good Morning
I did remember RABBITS so it had better be a good month. It already has a good start with visit from Carol.
I did get yesterday's photos posted in the gtg of our visit with Wendy in Guntersville.
Will have to catch up on other posts later.
Hope it is a great day for everyone, especially our 2 birthday girls.

Sue, what other kinds of prescription food would your vet recommend? I could probably pick up samples from my vet and ship them to you. I'm in the Lansing area, so it's not too far.
