Good Morning Carolb and everyone else,
Boy, does it feel good to have this site back up and running. Missed you all. You are all like one big family to me. Thought for awhile it was my computer. Tried to make a post in the morning and poof, no go. Checked on the site later in the evening and it was still down then too.
This place is my go to for morning laughs, chats and what not everyday except for those when I have to be up and out early or smething. Sometimes I read but don't post either. Mitch got it right for sure
Warm front pushing through this morning has triggered off a mix of snow and freezing drizzle along with gusty winds. Local schools are closed. First snow day for this year and wintre isn't even here yet. Winter Weather advisories are in effect for part of this morning. Probably won't go in to gym. Not sure yet. Advissories in effect illl 9 a.m, gym not till 10:30. We shall see.
Red, loved the picture of you and your daughter. Two beautiful ladies all dressed to go out and enjoy a wonderful evening. How nice of your husband, whom I'm sure went "whew" after he was able to let your daughter go in his place
Dawn has a new internet system, BJ is getting her "fur kids" teeth cleaned again, Soos heads to the doc this mornig, others making plans for mini GTG's or getting ready to make their wheels into permanent homes. Busy bunch we are. Isn't it interesting to see how despite we are all scattered over this big country, how everybody does the same kinds of things, only in their own ways. We all have our regional accents, terms for different things, different climates, different ways of doing the same things, but we are all bound by a common thread, the loving of RVing and the outdoors.
Speaking of there never being a November 30, 2012 again, has anybody realized that on 12/12/12 that will be the last day that all the numbers will be the same in out lifetime. There is no 13th month, hence there will not be another match of the numbers till the calendar rolls out of the 2000's.
Some of you are probably wondering how Ms. Tessa made out at the vet. Well, her bacteria levels are showing there is still sme bacteria in the urine and some of her other levels (BUN, Creatine (sp/) etc.) are either a bit low or in a couple of cases a bit high. The antibiotic she is on, Tetracycline, is what is making her a bit sick, so she doesn't eat. We have stopped it before to help her recover her appetite and have stopped it now for a week. It is the only thing for the most part that is between her and kidney failure. It's been a long term thing as the vet is trying to ward off the kidney failure. So for right now, she is off all her meds except estrogen twice a week and is now on a Prescription Diet canned food, Hill's K/D. We go back next week for another round of tests and then at the point he said he mght be able to make a better determination what the prognosis might be in her case. She's had some bouts with bladder infections over the 4 years she's been with me, so I think that something has been slowly building up in her system. But she's a fighter and as long as she wants to keep fighting, so am I. And she loves that new canned food. Is really chomping it up. And in the light of this, I have decided to postpone my trip north for the holidays. Her health is more important right now than that trip and if by next week, the vet thinks she is doing okay and he doesn't need to see her again for awhile, we can still go. This can go on for a while yet or it can all end at the blink of an eye.
So that's the news from my end. Am going to catch up on some of the other threads now and see what I missed yesterday. Have a wonderful day everyone, keep safe, healthy, and happy. Love you all!
