Good morning all!
Whew! I am finally caught up on all the postings. I got behind at the Canyon Lake GTG and then with Boot Camp next, fell further behind. I really like keeping up with everyone and getting to share in everyone's day. I feel like I know you all, even the people I haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person. It doesn't matter how mundane, friends share their lives and that is what we have here.
It just turned 6 here and I am drinking my coffee. Dogs are still asleep along with Mom. We are back in Ft. Worth area staying at Lake Benbrook. I had asked for a pull through site and when we got here, I had a "pull through". You could, but then you would be really hard pressed to hook up and the table would have been on wrong side. You could tell the site had originally been a back in site and they just added a little curved road to it. I pulled back out and drove over to the boat dock area which is next to our site. I unhooked the jeep all by myself and then backed Sunshine in all by myself with no one to give signals. Paul is in the next loop up on a hill. He was just pulling in and had to get himself situated. Thank you RV Driving School. For anyone just starting out driving one of these houses on wheels, I really recommend taking a driving course. The whole thing was really empowering. By the time Paul got here to give me signals, I was done. I was doing a little happy dance and saying "Yay Me" to myself.
Going to be a busy afternoon. My niece and her kids are coming over after Church this afternoon. Her youngest two are little boys and into everything like most little boys. Will have to watch to make sure they don't start playing with something they shouldn't. Will be fun to spend time with them before we leave for Mississippi. We will probably spend the afternoon outside where they can just run and play. Luckily the lake is really down since this site used to be right on the water. The water would be a little cold to go pull the boys out of it.
Going to go get another cup of coffee. Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning Dawn & everyone!
Dawn, that's great that the driving school gave you a little more confidence and that you feel more comfortable backing your home on wheels into sites. Have fun with your family today.
I'll be leaving for church in a bit and when I get home, I'll finish putting up the kale I started two days ago. We'll have plenty to hold us over for the winter. I'm house sitting for a friend that has gone to the Grey Cup in Canada and feeding her two dogs, cat, turtle and fish. I go over several times a day to check in on them and let the dogs out to run. She watches our house for us when we go to Florida for the winter, so this is the least I can do for her.
Have a good day everyone and enjoy whatever you're doing, wherever you are.

Good Morning Dawn and Irmi and everyone else... it is a bit cloudy here this am... my son will leave when he gets up... that will be sad but on the bright side we have had a very busy fun few days...
Wow Dawn you have done so good I am proud of you! Irmi I have never had kale... is it like spinach? maybe one day I will try some...
My son got the garbage disposal hooked up... my son in law does remodeling and someone had one taken out so they could have a new one and he gave the old one to me... he has been so fortunate to get many things for the boys houses as they do the work on them... like an almost new washer and dryer, cupboards that someone wanted to replace... a stove and refrigerator... it will sure help the boys...
It will be quiet here for a while... I will not make it to church because I want to see my son off... believe it or not he is still sleeping...
Please take care everyone and if you are driving be safe...
Kathleen

Morning everone...Dawn...good for you backing in...I tried it just awhile ago in dads drive way
I should not have had a problem he has a 20 ft wide drive...but it took me several tries...trying to figure out where to put the back end...so I get on one side of the drive...backing in was ok..but putting the rig where I wanted was another story. Going to get hair cut today...then just do window shopping ...need to get out and about...is depressing at dads with a rig sitting in the drive way...not going anywhere...very depressing ....I seen some wavy/rippling on a bottom panel yesterday...now what is that!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr...well all for now blessings to all have a great day and stay safe.

Good morning everyone. OH well! I did not win the $325 million Powerball last night.
Pretty lazy day here. Pile of laundry to do. Go for a walk when it warms up a bit. I haven't even decided what flavor coffee to select to put in my keurig machine. Again Tyler let me sleep till past 7. Looking at maps and event schedules for trip in January out west.
Yeah for Dawn. you did it. You sure are getting the hang of it. awesome! Irmi, I can't remember the last time I had kale. Yes, it is sorta like spinach, but a strong taste. Lots and lots of really good vitamins. I'll have to get some next time I'm at the store
Everyone have a great day and stay safe if you're traveling. This is the really busy travel day...everyone going home from the holidays! Aloha y'all

Good morning,
Another beautiful cool sunny morning here in the Butte.
It won't be a lazy Sunday for me, but that is okay.
Going to Church, then will finish helping my brother this afternoon. I get to burn off some Thanksgiving Day calories.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies
not much doing today except meet up with Beth this afternoon.
I did spend yesterday afternoon trying to track down a belt for my washer here in town. Its an odd size, a small one and only a few places
carry them. Its coming out of Tucson and should arrive here Tuesday, I hope. But glad I have extra uniform shirts from the previous year.
Coffee is tasty this morning and son made a spice cake last night so I'll get a piece of cake for breakfast
Off to watch the news. Catch ya'll later and enjoy your day.

Good Morning from warm Salome, AZ,
Dawn, good for you! Isn't that just the greatest feeling to do it on your own?!?
We started LeRoy's blanket project yesterday. He bought two wonderful wildlife fleece panels in Alaska, but he wants them blanket size for his grandson. So I am sewing them onto two twin blankets. So that will be my day!
Safe travels to all on the road and everyone have a good day.

Good morning Ladies! It is a very foggy morning here in SoCal.
Dawn, how exciting for you! I didn't go to a boot camp, but I had a mini lesson when I took my first trip to the local state park in VA. I met up with the camp mayor who taught me backing by watching the back wheels in the outer mirrors. Also taught me to put something at the back end that I can actually see in the camera screen. So I use the big blue ice chest I always keep in FooFoo! When I returned home after that trip, I bought a couple of those orange tall flags people put on their bicycles. if the site is really narrow, or if there aren't easy-to-see sides of the spot, I put the flags and drive between 'em! Congrats...the first time alone is something you'll not forget!!
House is clean top to bottom...turkey soup made with spaetzel noodles with most frozen for later, and all laundry done! I have a totally free day...I just may take myself to see "Lincoln" today. Keep hearing how wonderful it is...it was being shot around Richmond, VA, while was still there, but it was a really closed set so one couldn't get near it!
Time for a second cuppa! Y'all have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning Everyone, I am a happy camper, in my favorite CG , and in my favorite site also. Quite a few here, so really surprised it was vacant. Met Leslie (lak99) last evening. Really nice visit, she has two of the prettiest kitties I have seen in yrs. nice kitties and curious about Maggie, as she was them, they didn't run and just looked at her
Think this will be a lazy day. Had two really cold nights at my sis Tn home and it's moving East, so I'm taking my time going east. No point running fast to catch that cold spell again Sun is coming in big window and looks beautiful out. It's going to be cold for awhile wherever I am
Time for another walk, I've caught up on some of the happenings here. Oh Maggie wants out, must go, she means business when she asks.

Good going Dawn. Watch those little fingers because they like to push all the buttons and flip all the switches. I have electric sofas and had to fuss at my Grandson. He wanted to ride them up and down. I don't know where the motors are for them and didn't want to find out.
We had to turn the heat back on last night. There were freeze warning for North of I-10. Yesterday I went to town in capris, sandals and a coat. Most women were in sweaters, long pants and boots. Guess I need to break down and wear winter clothes, as much as I hate to.
I had a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce for breakfast. Three of the cats love turkey. One of them seldom wants people food. Hope I'm not creating another begging monster. Two of them will climb my legs if they think I have something good. We can't put something close to the edge of the counter because Posie is tall enough to snag it and drag it off.
Don't know what I will do this afternoon but don't think it will be going to town again. It didn't take much of the craziness yesterday for me to have enough. When I was trying to think of a way to get to a light so I could go to Target I decided it was easier to just go home.

A lazy Sunday it is indeed, as the kids and I celebrated our turkey day yesterday and I am still waddling about after that feast!
It's warm 77 degrees, and sunny down here in St. Cloud today----another perfect Fl winter day. I am in such awe of this sunny, dry weather all winter long this place has. Tomorrow I will pack up my laundry and other stuff and head back to my Orlando house as I have a lot to do back there. Soon I will have a new queen bed mattress set delivered from Macey's for the ou allback bedroom, and already have a Vizio TV to set up in that room. That should make for plenty of room for guests, as I love to sleep on the porch or on the king pull-out sofa bed. Kathy has the double bed in the smaller of the two bedrooms. With the new bed, and the queen-sized airbed on a stand, and tow more cot beds, I should be all set for anybody!
Time for a little nap now, then some stuffing with gravy along with some green beans for a late afternoon snack.
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday----the last one in November 2012.

I know it's almost coffee time for Monday, but here I am. I spent the weekend in Atlanta with my mom but saw my sister a lot and my niece on Friday. And we went to go see Lincoln last night - I thought it was really good. And I found it ironic the Republican party was the one pushing for emancipation and enfranchisement while the Democrats were opposed, yet the Democratic party is now the one supported by the majority of blacks in the US.
Mark said he spent all his trip money on the Jeep repairs last week, so I may be going by myself. He doesn't see that it costs almost as much for me to go by myself as for the 2 of us to go - gas and campgrounds will be basically the same, so food would be the major costs as possibly entrance fees to sites. And the food I would be buying anyway and possibly be eating out more than if both of us go.

Maggie, I'm with you. I pay all the expenses for Mom and me. I would have to pay the site fees anyway and charge is same for one person or two. I buy the groceries because I would have to have groceries anyway. Mom pays for her personal items and anything special she wants. The gas costs the same whether she is with me or not, so that is my expense. Since Paul is on such a limited income, she helps him out from time to time. Mark going would not change your trip expenses much unless you two want to do more.
