Sat Sit-ups

Good morning :P Yep, today I get back to some kind of exercising! We had s-ch a nice fall that I'd been able to be owtside & active all along. Now, as I read abot many other places, we too are diving into winter weather with abandon! Some rain yesterday afternoon with snow expected today. Hey, it was a good r-n of weather, so can't complain. And we're only a month away from winter solstice, & days start getting longer again. Time flies! Was great to hear abot everyone's Tday, & those of yew who celebrated yesterday will give a report today!? Today I may go window shopping for a new mattress for home--everyone's raving abot the tempr-pedic, so it's been on my mind for a few years now. Will aslo check Best By for a laptop. I'm not an on-line shopper, so those of yew who are, fill me in. It scares me a bit--not having somewhere physical to talk to someone before & after the sale if problems arrise???? Coffee & pmpkin pie for breakfast! Y'all have a great day & safe travels! 8-)

Good Morning Carolb and everyone after!
We arrived home yesterday so the guys would have time to prep for Opening Day today. The beginning of my "solitary Saturdays" until Feb!! Now I can get things done :D They left at 4am and like I keep reading from your posts in Morning Coffee....now I am unable to go back to sleep. Some due to that Mom's worry in the back of my mind but after all these years it has gotten a bit easier - and cell phones make it easy for me to be a pain and stay in contact!!!
So today is clean the camper day. After two trips back to back, she needs it badly. I am meeting a girlfriend later this morning to help decorate small Christmas trees that will go to the local VA hospital. Am excited to do that. Then she and I are having lunch to catch up on the last month or so. Tonight I plan to go to another girlfriends for an annual neighborhood block party. Wind is blowing 20-30 today and temps have dropped - hope its not too blustery tonight! And somewhere in between all this, the house is in need of some cleaning....BUT I would rather sew my new camper curtains so we will see what wins out.
Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday!

Morning to all. Popped in for a "hello". Have a busy day today. Laundry. Hate folding.

Have my pot of coffee perking and am mixing ( you all will love this) a pan of corn bread with veggies in it for SHUGA

Something I can make ahead. I'm putting them in the tiny muffin tins. You know the ones you just pop in your mouth and freezing them up..and today I have to pick up some others interesting veggies. Another critter in my menu

Of course it's also my in the rice fields today as well....ah the joys of critterville But ya know I do enjoy it. And if it keeps me active and mentally stimulated. Hey that's the life..

Hope you all are enjoying your holiday and stay safe in your travels

God bless

Good Morning all,

It's a wintery morning here at the 45th. Nature is living up to her reputation of abrupt changes in weather. From a record high of 62 and beautiful sunshine on Thanksgiivng Day to at least 2 inches of snow on Friday afternoon. Big change in 24 hours. Got lots of people joking about our famous Michigan weather. I"f you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change". So one thing on my agenda for this morning is to haul out the trusty snow shovel for the first tme this fall, and clear off my deck for the "fur kids" so they can walk around and not track snow back in. But then snow is only frozen water, so.....

Was thinking about my friends who were here with me on Thanksgiving and then headed across the U.P. to Presque Isle, WI after dinner. Hopefully they got to their destination without much driving difficulty. They will be starting back today as they have a long drive from there to the Detroit area. They plan an overnight stop somewhere along the line.

Laundry is on my agenda this morning too as well as vacuming the house and "Swiftering" the kitchen and living room floors. After that not sure what I will get into. I have some sign making projects but am holding off on them so I can take them with me up north in two weeks. Might get a start on Christmas cards perhaps. I don't do many, but have a few that I like to send to keep in touch with old neighbors and friends downstate. Also want to bake some butter cookies to take along. Need to get some fake green stiff garland stuff to make a small wreath for the door as well, but not sure I want to go to town today due to weather. Will be going in for church tomorrow, so can get it then.

So guess I shall mosey along here. Throw a batch of stuff in the washer, mostly hats and a couple of hoodies that I want to take along north. Have a wonderful day all and Zee, send me up a batch of those muffins. My fur kids would love them

Morning Everyone! Am sitting here waiting for coffee to make enough to get a cup. Today is a travel day for us heading back to Fort Worth area for doctors appointments for Mom and Paul. Also time for Belle's annual vet trip.

All the dogs and Mom are still asleep and I am enjoying the quiet before the storm. The sun is trying to come up and I will get everyone up around 7 so I can start getting everything stowed for the trip. Just turned the temp up on the furnace. We had a cold front come through yesterday afternoon and it was chilly in here when I woke up. Was really unhappy to hear Larry Hagman had passed away when I woke this morning. He was a childhood friend of my Mom's. They used to pal around during the summers when he and his Mom where at their summer home in Vermont.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning everyone!

It's a cold, blustery morning on the eastern shore of MD and it's not going to warm up much. With the winds we're having, it'll feel a lot colder than it really is.

I'm house sitting for a friend while she & her hubby are in Canada for the Grey Cup. I've been to the house this morning to let the dogs out, fill their food and water dishes, fed the cat, the turtle and fish. I'll go back a few more times later in the day and until Monday night when our friends get back from their trip. Yesterday I started putting up kale and will do that again today. Cooked up with a ham bone with lots of meat makes such a tasty meal. I'm not sure what else I'm going to get into today. Have a good day and please take care, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

Happy Saturday everyone,
I just love stopping by here with my coffee & seeing what everyone is up to - warms my soul to be allowed into your lives... :)
A beautiful day is dawning here - cold (low 20's) but what a sunrise! :D
Oldest daughter arrived late yesterday sans granddaughters - they spent the night with friends in the area so we'll pick them up a little later this morning. Will put together food for the feast soon - turkey is already done & will just heat up some of the meat. Probably need to buy some store bought gravy since I used all my juice for son's Tday dinner. ;)
Sounds like many of us cook for our furry family members. Sierra, my GS, is anxiously awaiting her share of the turkey   Always gave her dry food until this summer when she was so sick we actually scheduled the vet out to let her go. Decided since it was her last days, I'd give her some leftover roast beef, later on gave her some chicken, by next day she was doing better. Told the vet to never mind & she has been living on chicken & turkey ever since. Finally got her to eat some dry puppy food with it just cause I can't imagine a diet of pure protein is that good for anyone... Glad to have her with us - she's slowing down more & more, but still seems to enjoy her time with everyone & her meals. :D
Well, better get started...
Hope you all have a safe & relaxing day... Later...

good morning ladies
I was up way too late last night watching movies, after midnight when I finally hit the mattress. Maybe a nap later today but first things first and
thats to fix the washing machine. It needs a new belt, it didn't spin out enough and the sheets I washed yesterday had to be wrung out by hand
and then it took too long in the dryer to dry so........thats why I was up too late. Downloaded a repair manual for it yesterday. Was wondering
how I was to do the task through thatlittle access panel on the back, well, ya don't, you tip over and theres another access panel on the
bottom. Problem solved. Will tighten up the belt and hope it works while I order a new one ($4) Still need to wash uniform shirts. Honestly, thats
all I have planned for today, no housework to do, it all still looks good.
Woke up with my tummy feeling a little confused, after three days of eating much the bloat is gone and I'm totally more comfortable.
Will have a light bowl of cereal for breakfast and then get started on my washer.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning all,

It is a beautiful sunny cool morning here in the Butte. Love waking up to mornings like that.

I plan on going burn some Thanksgiving Day lunch calories cleaning my brothers home/camp, which was my fathers home/camp (one street over from me in the Butte). He works 4 weeks in Texas, staying in his motorhome, then returns to Lafayette, LA for a few days to collect mail, etc in and a week or so in a TX town where is wife is in nursing school. It is always a busy two weeks off from work for him. He is in the "slow" process of trying to move into his Butte La Rose home/camp from where he has been living in Lafayette. He has too much stuff! I keep telling him that everytime I help him unload another load from Lafayette. At a few days every other month of moving stuff and minor repairs to the home/camp, he may get fully moved in around the end of 2013.

Have a great day everyone!

Yes, keep encouraging her to eat the dry food along with the chicken and turkey but be careful what brand you get there are so many bad ones on the market that look so good with the slick advertising. My niece almost lost her Dobe feeding it Beneful dog food. I tried to tell her but was told 'they thought it was good' My brother took them a bag of I think it was Innova and made them compare labels. They switched and the dog lived several more years. It was apparently an eye opener for them because now they are into healthy food and exercise.

I'm headed back to the couch where I plan to spend most of the day. This cold my DH 'shared' with me is a doozy. ACK I found a packet of Limsip he brought back from Scotland and it has something in it like our codeine. Just a tiny bit of the powder mixed in hot water is all it takes to for me to feel all better for awhile. :D

Good Saturday morning... coffe is good fire is burning in the fireplace have a couple of smell good candles burning and being quiet until my son gets up... cold yes it was in the teens and a wind chill of 5 last night... have not looked at the temp this morning yet...
Yesterday was eventful not in a good way... my son Chuck and daughter Margie went shopping they left at 8... it was about 3 pm when the phone rang... they had been in an accident... they were stopped at a red light and a 2013 brand new Jeep hit them in the back drivers side... they are fine just bumped up but the car is a very very bad mess...
Last evening we all were together there were 8 of us for dinner and a gab fest... that was the best part of the day...
Today my son is putting in a garbage disposal and will do other things that I cannot do... oh how nice to visit with him...
I see everyone is so busy... glad to see so many posts...
Oh yes a long while back several years I asked everyone to pray for a young man named Jake he had cancer and they did all kinds of treatments even taking him to TX and IN for help... he had had a brother that died from leukemia and the fear was there... well Jake got his last treatment and tonight they are having a celebration... wow it has been so many years in coming...
Take care everyone

Good morning everyone. I slept late thanks to Tyler  I need to improve my geocaching skills. Yesterday I did not find a single cache while walking the trail. There are three and I could not find a single one!! Came back to the web site, read the logs and hints and going to try again this morning. Then DH wants to go shooting, so we'll head out to the indoor range. He got me a special compact 9mm handgun he wants me to be comfortable using. He wants me to get my license to carry. I'm not sure I want to do that. I know I would never shoot a person!! A cold front moved in and it is a bit chilly. Every time I go to grab sweat pants, sweater or my fav shoes, they are in our 5er. And the 5er is at the dealers  So I need to make a trip down to the dealer and get the rest of my clothes.

Have a great day and be extra careful,if you're on the road today. Unusual amount of traffic with all the holiday travelers!! Aloha y'all

Good Morning,

I am with Catherine, I look forward to reading what everyone is up to while I have my coffee!

It is to be 80 degrees here today. Plan hasn't been 'announced' yet, but I think we will be starting on LeRoy's sewing project for his grandson. I am one who likes to know plan my day....

The camper is in pretty good shape. Now I just have to figure out all the additions that will have to be stowed for travel and where to stow them. I am ready to have my wheels back!

Have a great day everyone.
