Monday and Another Week Begins

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday and Another Week Begins

Postby Colliemom » Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:32 am

A Good Monday Morning to you all,

Up and at em a bit after 6 this morning. Dogs got their pills, breakfast of poached eggs and sausage followed by bowl of strawberries already in tummy and also have some Baby Back Ribs in the Crock Pot. Can you tell i have been busy  Actually I have a chiropractor appt. this morning, so need to get some of this done as I will be leaving in a bit. Also have a dentist appt. later on this morning, so morning is busy. Will let the afternoon take care of itself.

Chilly and wet out there this morning. Barbee's cold front is working it's way through here. Barb, that's one nice thing about you being back in MN, I get my weather forecast before it gets here  I know you don't like winter, but with that new apt. you are in, it should be so nice watching the snow at the lake and your little "fireplace" sounds so neat.

Yea, Soos has landed in FL and is now getting her Orlando home up and running for the winter. Pretty soon she will have her internet and be back with us. I always looks forward to hearing how her day goes as well as everybody else's here.

I'm off to a busy week here with appts. and gym class. Will go by fast I think. I didn't realize that Thanksgiving was sneaking up on us so soon this year  Thought it was still two weeks away, but nope, a week from this Thursday. Not that it matters anyway, cause I'm not doing anything. Will fix a turket as I want the leftovers :) And will freeze some of it to take north with me in a few weeks. Plus the dogs can have the dark meat pieces for dinner too They love turkey. But they don't get my "drummies" deboned or not. They are mine, all mine

I finally found my Crock Pot and now have a slab of Baby Back Ribs cooking for supper tonight. Nothing like going to the dentist and getting your teeth cleaned, only to come home and have a nice slab of ribs get all over in your teeth  But I gotta try out this pot to make sure it works before I head north.

So, time to get moving here. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning Sue & Lori and all to come. Finally have enough bars to get on internet. Sitting at my bay window with the fireplace on watching Dawn and her dogs in the pen. It chilly outside. Getting packed up and.ready to get truck & 5er weighed, off we go. DH (Sasquatch) and I had fun at the ice cream social. Joanne is someone that has been reading our forum, but did not join. She jokingly said she "lurks". She read Dawn's post that included her campsite # and came over and found us. Her husband and sasquatch talked about trucks, etc. Others talked about their plans for winter. Latter, sasquatch mentioned since we both had spent time in Florida before, maybe we could go to AZ for January for the rock and gem shows and car auctions, etc. I'm just excited to get on the road. Although I'd like to see everyone at the Florida gtg, AZ has a lot of sistahs too. Tyler is doing the Potty dance, so off I go..coffee when I get back. Aloha y'all

Spent a restless night in the Fleetword customer service parkng lot hooked up to electric only, with a a bunch of other rigs waiting for morning service work. Wind was really bad driving up through Kentucky and Indiana yesterday, shaking the rolling the vehicle from side to side. Hard also to sleep because of the wind movement and the road noise. At least glad I had a lot of company in the lot!

I had to get up at 5:30 am after not much sleep. The good news is that they took me in and started work immediately, AND are letting me stay in the vehicle while they work. The bad news is that I may be here for a couple of days!! Hopefully not more. Work hours at 6:00 am to 2:30 pm so at least will be back in my spot by then and can relax with less noise. Lot better, however, than sitting in waiting room on old couches!

Wish me luck!

Good morning ladies
coffee is so good this morning, helping to warm me up. Think its about that time I get my full time heater off the shelf and warm it up.
Doesn't take much to get me chilled, guess living in AZ for the past 12 years has really thinned out my blood.
Few minor things planned for today one of which is to do my hair, get the velcro curlers out and see if I can do something nice to it so
I can go hold the baby today. Not that he cares if my hair is done, his vision is still fuzzy anyway but his sense of smell works ;)
Son got a truck recently and it just occurred to me its the size I need to pull my fifthwheel, so the wheels are turning in my head again.
Now I want to put a fifthwheel hitch on my budget. Will have to go out and get a better look at his truck.
Sun is coming up so I better get my turn in the shower before the rest of the house gets up. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning all. Getting ready to get dressed and help Red and Sasquatch since they will be leaving in a little while. Will have to get Paul to help with unhooking the satellite. Mom and I did not make the ice cream social last night. I had hit my brick wall and needed to take a pain pill. Was asleep by 9 and slept until 6:30 this morning. I am sorry Red.

Today is a day to catch up on laundry and do some cleaning in the rig. Talk to everyone later. I have pages and pages of postings to catch up on.

good morning to everyone from - surprise - chilly Mexico. And I might add very windy. The sun is up but so are a lot of clouds and it is darn right cool. We took the blanket off the bed the other day and stored it - almost needed it last night.
Today we head out again for about 120 miles south to San Carlos. There are two ways to get there the short way 118 miles on a road that is worse than terrible. Every year we hope it has been fixed and by the time we realize it hasn't its too late to get off it. Ms. Tioga lost her solar panels off the roof when George took that road. So we will go the long way through downtown Hermosillo 158 mile trip and just as nerve wracking in its own way. Very busy street lots of traffic and very aggressive drivers and hopefully no construction. Once on the main highway it is okay. Also GPS wants to go one way and we want to go another - better way if I can just see the road signs soon enough.
Hope your work gets done on your RV soon Judy -
Lori and Ernie - have a safe trip when you hit the road.
Best post this before I lose my connection again.

Mornin' all.

Hope all thee not feeling very well now start recovering soon. Hope everyone getting ready to move fairs well. And I hope those at the service department don't get charged too much! ;) And someone is eating really good today/this week- lucky you. I'm hungry now.

Good news- we sold one of our Vespa Scooters yesterday which eases the finances enough to get le kiddo into his apartment a couple weeks early-on the 15th (if they allow -fingers crossed) which helps us out a lot with logistics.

We drove the Smart back to where we have 'The Fort' (is what we're calling it now) with as much as we could pack into it. In turn we were able to give our friend some of our kitchen stuff. The apartment is looking more ready for move and less overwhelming although we still need to sell our sofa & chair, coffee table set and elliptical machine... the rest of the stuff will fade away with friends and family, we think.

Le kiddo goes in for his first job interview-- we really hope he gets it for many reasons, but one would be that he'd get free/discounted meals which makes a mother more at ease- at least he won't starve when he makes mistakes with his pay checks. ;)

Today's holiday didn't help us with the experiment on commute time for my husband...but we're thinking he may just take the commuter train instead...checking on the details and the walk from the station today to see how that'd work out. It'd be nice because I wouldn't worry about him driving while being tired, driving with all the crazy SoCal commuters and he'd be able to get a jump on work via his phone on the way there. And it should save us money on fuel...but not sure- have to calculate that, being we drive a Smart. But if we go that route, I will have a car for putting around whatever area I happen to be in at the time... visit the grandbaby... so it all may work out better than we expect.

Anyway... good day to you all...

Good Afternoon as I missed morning, tho I have been trying to read and catch up on what has gone on past few days.
Am fighting a bad headache and major brain fog today. No time for either.
Older niece waited until last Wed. night to tell me she is having knee replacement tomorrow and needs me to stay with her at hospital and come to my house when she gets out of hospital. Have been madly rearranging my schedule. Normally I am blessed with a very laid back, flexible schedule that can easily be changed to cope with whatever comes along. This week was not one of those and with the two holidays coupled with not knowing when I might be able to leave her I'm in limbo. Had to cancel appointment with IRS and bank. Those are somewhat critical at this point.
On a brighter note we had a near perfect weather weekend. However rain has moved in and a cold front means rapidly dropping temps all day. I do not want to go out today but that is not an option now.
Guess I'd better get moving.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
