Chilly Saturday morning

Good Morning all,
Rather chilly here at the 45th this morning. In the upper 20's. Supposed to go into mid 40's but be nice. Good working outside weather. No sweat, no bugs etc. Have to laugh at all the reports comng in from all of us who are in the colder air now. For awhile everybody was sweltering in the hot summer weather and now are all freezing in the colder air. No happy medium here
Am not laughing though when I watch the latest on Sandy. That is going ot be an unbelieveable storm. I and I'm sure all the rst of us on the site are going to worry about all our sisters who are going to be impacted by this storm. We know that you are taking precautions and will be prepared for the unknown, but when you are able, please let us know how you are doing. Some of you may lose power and will not be able to be online, so we will worry till we hear from you. It is even expected to impact us here in MI as well, with some wnd, snow and rain, but nothing compared to the east coast. It has me getting my winter preparations moving as well, checking my batteries, stocking up my bottled water and those things I normally do before winter anyway. We very rarely lose power here and if we do, it's usually for an hour or so cause somebody hit a pole or a tree fell or something. But my old Girl Scout motto "be prepared" still holds true for me.
Barbie, congrats on the new wheels. Red, was it you who just got the new recliners? They look so sharp in that rig. Judy, I can't believe that pretty soon you are going to be heading back north for some holiday GTG with family and then south for FL. Seems like we were just sitting on the beach up here in MI last summer. But I can see you are enjoying your travels so far and that it seems to be working out for you. Haven't heard from Irmi and Steve of late. Hope all is well with them although they are in the path of the storm.
Well, guess it's going to be a work outside day here today. Need to finish blowing some leaves and then burlap my shrubs. Get this done before the crappy weather hits on Tuesday-Thursday. First thing is run to town as I need a couple of things from store and more oil for my leaf blower. But gotta wait for daylight. A week from tomorrow is change of Daylight Savings Time again.
So, with that, I am going to head on out of here and do some reading of other threads. Will be watching Sandy and praying for the safety of all those affected. And a week before a national election day too. Bad timing. For thhose of you who don't have to worry about this storm, have a nice day and those on the road, keep safe and happy travels.
