Good Morning Ladies,
Trust you all had a good night last night and are ready to start another day.
Not much in the way of breakfast around here this morning, sorry. Just one egg left and some sausage. Guess we all wanted to start that diet today, don't we Trip to store coming up I think. I'm heading on out this morning over to Traverse City to pick up a few things I hope and also run to the compounding pharmacy that is making up Tessa's estrogen pills while I am over there. So it will be a nice day outing.
Thanks for all your concerns about the "gunman" back in the woods here. As the story is now, it was started with a domestic duspute. I live in a small subdivision inbetween two highways here and along the highway out front, there are are 4 homes. In one of those is where it all started. He apparently threatened a familly member with a gun and then fled into the woods. Police were called, he fired off some shots while he was out there and they decided to set up a perimeter and see if they could locate him. Guess he was "heavily armed". Although the woods back here aren't that big, they do run at little over a mile deep and a bit wide in one area, plus there has been some clear cutting done resulting in new growth that's very thick in one area. So it took them awhile to locate him. I think he was way back in the far area from us. I'm kind of wondering if he fired those shots perhaps in frustration over the whole thing, who knows. So that's probably why nobody was notified cause it wasn't one of those "escaped convict or really lunatic nuts" running around and a danger to everybody. Just a family thing.
But when it boils down to it. People and guns in the woods are a fact of life here. This time of year it's hunting season for small game, bear and turkeys (short season on that) and in a few weeks it will be fire arms deer season. So there are always people out with guns. I've hunted, my dad has hunted and friends have hunted. The fact that we are carrying guns even though we are licensed to carry them, can be considered "armed and dangerous" if you want to put a tag on it. Nobody ever knows what somebody is going to do. So you deal with it. Life goes on and in this case nobody was hurt.
Sounds likes there's going to be some "tamales" being picked up and delivered way down south in TX. Plans being made to have a mimi GTG too. Ah, the winter exodus has begun. Before you know it, it will be time for the FL GTG in January and then who knows what else. Have fun y'all.
Well, not much else new here, so am going to head on out myself. Still dark in these parts, so won't be hitting the road anytiime sooon, but have a few other things to do anyway. Hoping you all have a nice day and safe travels to those who are on the road.
