Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday

Good Morning to All - All I've got is a pot of fresh coffee, we're going into town for breakfast later and for some last minute shopping.
All our waiting for paper work is completed and sent in and the license plates for Jennie arrived yesterday.....so no more reason to put off leaving. Today will be last stops here to market. Have all my lists out and checking things off little by little. Leaving notes for our house sitter
- he always manages to screw up the TVs - Tomorrow business as usual - laundry, bills, cleaning etc and depending on weather either out of here Tuesday or - I'm trying for Wednesday IF I can keep The Driver out of the driver's seat. Also depends on weather to the west of us - no sense traveling in bad weather if we don't have to.
HOpe everyone has a good day and safe traveling.

Sunny Sunday

Postby Redwahine » Sun Oct 21, 2012 6:29 am

I guess we are going to have a little bit more of summer today. the last few days have been so lovely with cool, but not cold weather. Today will be up to 90! I'm up early to get Tyler fed and walked befor DH and I head up north for the Texas Renaissance Festival. We want to get there early before it gets too hot, so we'll have breakfast on the road!! Looking forward to the fun food like turkey legs and sausage on a stick and the jousting and merriment :P

Yesterday DH suggested we call the 5er "Purple People Eater". Then we started the question, "was it a purple monster that ate people? Or a monster that ate purple people?" Anyway, still no name. I need one, cuz DH keeps calling it "it" or "the motorhome". Neither are acceptable to me

Wishing everyone a wonderful day and if on the road stay safe. :P Aloha y'all

TAKEN FROM WIKIPEDIA:

The creature isn't necessarily purple but rather it eats purple people, as shown in the following excerpt:

"I said Mr Purple People Eater, what's your line?
He said eating purple people, and it sure is fine
But that's not the reason that I came to land
I wanna get a job in a rock 'n roll band"

Maybe DH would like 'it' to have a masculine name like Monty...I like Monique...

Red
Men like to name things with engines. Didn't he name the truck? So maybe you should get to name the RV the truck is pulling. Seems fitting ;) When the right name comes to you, just start calling it that and maybe he will just follow suit. I bet you have a name in mind by the time you have spent a week in it at the GTG.

I hope the nice hot weather hangs in there as long a possible. The evenings are a little warmer than last week but still cool so the hot daytimes don't seem as hot. Have a great time at the fair.

Good morning gals! It is sunny and chilly here in MN but supposed to be around 70 later today. I had planned to go play golf today but it looks like that won't be happening.
My car died a quick death last night when I went to leave work. Sounded like a bunch of rocks grinding around in the engine. So I guess the synthetic oil didn't work. Was going to have it towed today to my mechanics shop for an autopsy. But now it seems I picked up my dad's "bug" last night when he picked me up and let me have his car. Have been in the bathroom all morning. So that kind of shoots all my plans for the day! Hopefully I will feel better later on. Will have to see if I have something in one of my unpacked boxes I can take to plug me up for awhile

Hope you all have a better day than I am having so far!

Carol
"Making that list and checking it twice" sounds like Christmas but then, it always feels like Christmas when we can get in that RV and head out.

Good luck keeping The Driver out of the driver's seat. Tell him it's really windy here in North Central Texas today and supposed to be raining tomorrow.

I had a fabulous day yesterday. My middle daughter and one of her daughters came to spend time with me and Mom before we leave on Tuesday. She caught me up on all that has been going on in the family. With her and her daughters all is going really well. Granddaughter with the Graves Disease is having surgery tomorrow to have her thyroid out. Middle DD said she would call me after the surgery to let me know how it went. She also told me the DGD whose fiance committed suicide on her birthday had a melt down and was in the hospital for a week. She was just released. She is definitely going to need ongoing therapy. She did tell me my oldest DD is now targeting her because she cannot get to me and making up lies about her. She said oldest just screams at her and calls her every foul name she can think of. I told middle daughter that was what I was afraid was going to happen so had been keeping really low profile. She told me not to worry about it that she could handle her sister. She just lets her scream. She said bad thing was that as soon as oldest dreams up whatever in her mind, as far as she is concerned, it is absolutely true. We had talk about we both think the oldest is mentally ill, but she will never see it and get treatment. Middle daughter told me to live my life like their Daddy wanted me to and to try to find some joy in life again. My granddaughter was having a ball going through everything in the MH to find out how it worked. She was facinated with the portable ice maker. It was funny. She turned on the TV outside so she could watch it. We were talking about when we all go on a vacation together, hopefully next summer or early fall, she and her sister can sit outside and watch the TV. She was fascinated with the storage under my bed since that was what I had been working on yesterday. It was really nice being able to laugh and play with my granddaughter. The dogs were so excited to see them! They were used to all the extra attention every other weekend when middle DD and DGD's would come see us.

Mom is not feeling well again today. I got her bedsheets changed and bed remade because it was just too much for her today. Hope she is just coming down with a cold. She said she feels light headed and really hot. That is not normal as she is usually cold. If she is not feeling better by tomorrow, will take her in to see her doctor to find out what is going on.

Today is going to be a continuation of reorganizing my bins and getting rid of things I realize I am never going to use in the MH. Also need to get my laundry done. Laundry is the one chore I hate and I always put it off as long as possible. Zeee and I were really laughing about this. She is the same. I keep enough sets of underwear that I don't have to do laundry for weeks. It is the folding that I hate. Based on that, you wouldn't think it, but I am really anal about how my clothes are folded and put up.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

good morning ladies
last day of leisure here, its back to work tomorrow. But I'm ready, I find when I'm home I tend to eat all the time. I think that makes
my clothes shrink a little
Sorted a few tubs yesterday, Got rid of lots of old winter clothes and resorted my yarns and ended up with two large empty tubs.
They are older tubs so I'll contribute those to sons needs for maintenance parts etc in the dining room. My newer tubs I bought
couple years ago are all see through and I've decided I really like that feature as it makes it easier to see what I put where. (Especially
with my yarns) Will eventually replace the rest of my older tubs with the see through kind.
Gonna go visit Jack today. Talk to daughter yesterday and she had to send daddy out to the store to buy some newborn onesies, funny
how with all those clothes she got she didn't get ANY newborn outfits at the baby shower. I can already see the writing on the wall,
she will NOT be able to leave the baby home and go to the store while someone else watches him, and thats ok, she's just very motherly.
But by the time he's 6 months, I'm sure that will change, hope so cause she eventually has to go back to work. Daddys mother is there
right now to help out but I think she said she was going back home on Tuesday.
Guess I've rambled on enough, time to get dressed and get moving on the day. Ya'll enjoy your day, be safe and be warm.

GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL!

Day is almost over---have been printing our instructions and new maps for my trip south in a week. Yep I will be on the road next week at this time, or in my first Flying J truck stop by now. I am planning only about 200-300 miles per day, depending on the weather and where we are.

Time to feed dogs and take them for a brief walk before it gets any darker. Rainy, cold, nasty day here again. A body needs to know the sun.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
