SUNNY SS DAY!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNNY SS DAY!

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Oct 17, 2012 7:59 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

There is SUNSHINE out there this morning and the temp is already up to 38 unlike the below-freeaing ones of the past few days!

When I looked out of the window yesterday while pouring my coffee, I saw Dinah, who was tied to a tree on that side of the trailer, calmy lying there with the huge, yellow, 30 amp plug to the trailer in her mouth, chewing away! I freaked out, ascreamed, and dashed out the door to grab the thing just before her tongue might have touched the bared tongs which she had managed to pull partially apart. The plug was partially eaten and had blood all over it from her gums-----thank heavens she tried the plug and not the main wiring, or she would be deader than dead. It took me a while to recover from that scare, I can tell you that! That dog is more trouble than Orion at one year old. WHEW!

Joe got another call from his father yesterday, and he had to return to the hospital with miore chest pains. Joe is beside himself trying to decide whaat to do next.

I hope to be outside more today both with Orion and the dogs. Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know what's up with you. Nobody has to be a full-timer to have news or chatting power, nor do you even have to have an RV yet! We all know that we all love the RVing life, whether we are striving to get there, or already there. Happy Wednesday! (Social Security day for me, too!)

Good morning Everyone, Wow!! Soos, seeing Diana with that electric plug in her mouth, I would have really freaked out too !! so glad you saw her in time.
The sun is out here too, this morning. We've had several rainy days and more moving in by tomorrow, according to weather people. Of course, I take what comes and only half listen to them  ;) (I'm so bad)

Not moving fast around here, tried moving a heavy object Sunday and fixed my back up really good. I'm so used to doing all this stuff, but the ole bod is objecting more and more. Of course, my mind has been saying all along, I don't want any part of all that work anymore !!! Now, they've ganged up on me   Sure have not accomplished a thing this week. Still looking for a handiman to help with some of this stuff, called one I know , twice and no response so write him off. This week haven't felt up to even calling anyone.

Except for continuing to hurt myself each month, nothing much new with me, in between the hurtin' times I am trying to clear this place out :) Today will try to get back at some of the easier things, not physical, sorting papers etc.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe whatever you do, use your brain in some of the task you might want to tackle :D
But do Enjoy each minute !!

Soos - Joe almost had to worry about you having a heart attack as well when you saw Dinah, I'm sure. Prayers for his dad. And tell Dinah to behave herself. How old is she?

CArol - take care of yourself although it sounds like you can't do much else - OW!!!

Today is my last day to work this week. It was raining last night and traffic was horrible so I didn't get a chance to do things like make the bed and take the washed linens out to the trailer. We had to wash everything after the last trip because of muddy paw prints. Mark did wash the outside of the trailer after we got it home the other night. It had mildew all over the front - I guess from sitting under the oak tree.

I do know that I need to get up on the ladder and check the roof. The service tech said he found a couple of spots that he patched but I need to inspect all the seams. Fortunately I do have an aluminum roof so it's just the seams that I worry about. But all that may have to wait until after the TX GTG.

My gosh Soos, I would have been scared to death too. It doesn't take long for our fur babies to get into trouble. Praying for Joe and his Dad.

Just a quick post this morning as I need to get in the shower so I can start getting us unhooked and all the slides in to head to CW to get the towing apparatus put on Mom's Jeep and Sunshine.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

good morning ladies
no doubt about it, its a glorious day, its Jacks day :D
Trying to figure out what little things I can get done before its time to get to the hospital. Don't want to do anything thats too involved.
Can't complain about the weather, its been fabulous, nice and cool at night now. Son still runs the cooler so this morning I had to put on
my new long sleeved pjs to take the chill off. Then turned off the cooler, won't need it till this afternoon.
Soos, what a fright to see Dinah with the electric cord in her mouth
Barbz tickin away the miles as she makes her way south, next stop Lotta SC. Must be a really small town cause Google couldn't find it, kept
giving me Lotto results. I like to pull up the maps and visually follow along.
My tummy tells me its time to put something in it so guess I'll go make a bowl of cereal and read a little news during breakfast.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe. I'll check in later :D

Looks like our beautiful weather of yesterday has changed guess the beautiful fall colors will be winding down.
Soos that was really a scare Dinah gave you! Dogs get into the strangest things sometimes. CArol hope your back gets better soon and you can find someone to help with the heavy stuff.
Ava I'll be thinking about you and the delivery this morning!!

Soos, what a terrible scare. It's a miracle Dinah didn't electrocute herself and a second one that you didn't take a tumble when you were racing out of the RV to save her. After the heart racing from the scare, you'll need to really check out that plug to make sure it is still safe for you to use. I'm sure your DD and DIL are appreciating your extra help with the health problems of Joe's Dad needing their attention. Family is a good thing.

Soos, I would have reacted the same way, in fact I have many times with Rudy...not only when he could have harmed himself like when I found him chewing up my dancing shoes (most expensive shoes I owned). This has been a stressful time for Joe for sure. Most of us who are still in the process or have lost our parents remember the days of seeing to their care if not caring for them ourselves while also handling the responsibilities of our jobs and families...very hard time.
Carol, join the backache club...I got through my downsizing with my back intact, tho I almost broke my hip in a terrible fall. Just last week it started rebelling..you're right, we aren't young anymore but I think we need to push ourselves to the limit anyway...just my theory but I saw my mother sit down at the first sign of pain and she never got up again...her ailments became much worse because of it...I learned from her that if we don't use it, we lose it.
I have been running my pond pump hours per day trying to filter out the scum. I had paid a man 400 dollars to clean it about 2 months ago. He said it would clear up, that he stirred everything up. I paid him like an idiot...Day before yesterday I started emptying the pond...it is now empty..the fish are in a little plastic pool. You wouldn't believe the layers of leaves in the bottom. Today I will get in there and clean out the leaves and use the pressure washer on the rocks. I will empty it again before filling again. The house is for sale and I would sure like the pond to be clear as it should be. I will also be calling the man who ripped me off. I might not get my money back but he will get a piece of my mind. Come to think of it I think I will ask him to come back and finish the job to my satisfaction!! Being in business all my life and especially the trucking business taught me the fine art of demanding payment and or communicating poor service..I don't use foul language in doing so but they know I mean business and Mr. Pond Cleaner will be no exception.
We are supposed to get bad weather today. I have some things to do in town then head back home to stay ready to go to the 'Fraidy Hole' at my son's house..Historically, we have had more tornadoes in AR in the fall than spring.
Ava, this is such an exciting day...keep us posted and of course can't wait for pictures...what will Jack call you?

Happy Wednesday to you too Soos! You made me laugh...my dad used to always say "The Eagle sh!+$ today!" when his SS check was going to be deposited.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
