Good Morning, Everybody!

I made chocolate-raspberry truffle flavored coffee this morning! Temperature is mild out there again----30 deg.F. Should be a good day to get out and vote.

My drive to school yesterday morning was so enjoyable, as I could actually SEE the sides of the road and all the spots where the early-morning deer lurk! I know it's still possible that one or more could still jump out onto my truck, but at least I could be stopped now!

Gotta go get dressed, feed cat and Molly, take her out, fix some lunch, stoke fire one last time, and head out!

Everybody have a good day, and tonight we will have a new president...neither of which do I want, however! Sigh. The lesser of two evils? Time will tell, I suppose!!

From me and Molly

It is indeed a red, white and blue day. Today could change the face of this nation. Vote or don't complain about the results.

So let's grab a fresh cinnamon roll, a good cup of hot coffee, think about what the end of day will bring.

The weather is beautiful here in Florida, we have Halloween behind us and look forward to the Turkey day ahead. What do you all plan to do with your day on Thanksgiving? We usually cook a big meal and invite anyone we find that needs a place for company and food. We always good way too much, so we share with anyone who wants to share that day with us. I have always put my turkey on to cook about 11 PM, turn the heat down to about 250 and let it cook all night. I wake up to the smell of turkey and just starving. Cooking in this manner the turkey is never dry and is fall off the bone good.

Add to this the pumkin pie, fresh baked apple pie, dressing, and fresh vegetables and it is a meal fit for a king.

Life is always good with homecooked food and good friends.

Good morning Soosie and all our other sleepy heads!

It will be off to work, I'll probably swing by and vote before I go to school,.... it's 20 miles out of my way. Only one polling place in the whole dang township. Oh well,....

Later today my pal Kathy will come here for dinner and we'll spend the evening watching election results together.

Have a great day everyone,... and GO VOTE!

Gooooood Morning!

Rise and shine everyone. I've been sitting here being a slug this morning wasting some of my time on a nifty website, I'll have to post the addy later when I get home from work. And I was busy with my email stuff, haven't even got my comic fix yet this morning. :o

Work is the pits. Dang place is already handing out mandatory overtime papers. sheesh. This suppose to be our weekend off but now they say it's required to do 8hrs of overtime either Saturday or Sunday. ??? Honestly don't know if I will or not. I might give them 4hrs on Saturday?

Ok quick this morning, I really got to get hopping and get dressed. Kelly is out of the shower and the bathroom is now mine!! LOL

Hope everyone has a great day and be sure to be safe.

Love to all

VOTE!!!!

I can smell your turkey already way up here Nan!! I am going to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year for the first time in probably 20 years. Since Bash's knee replacement is the 17th, she won't be up to going anywhere. She usually spends Thanksgiving with her family in Indiana. My church delivers meals to Meals on Wheels Thanksgiving Day and anyone else who wants/needs a dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Another church here in town cooks and delivers meals on Friday after Thanksgiving since Meals on Wheels is usually closed. I'll probably help get ready Wed night and deliver if they need me Thursday. We are always back in time to finish our dinners. Wed. night they bake cornbread and mix the dressing, put desserts people from church donate into containers and put cranberry sause in small containers. It is a fun evening and the church always orders pizza for the workers.

Sure glad I early voted and don't have to stand in line today!! Go vote ya'll if you haven't voted!! Got my coffee and I'm curled up in my recliner.

Good morning to all from the Texas GTG. Be sure to check out our pictures and fun times in the GTG thread. Carol and I are sitting here having coffee with you and the doggies are waiting for their walk. I'll take them out before breakfast. The sun is trying to peek out from behind a mostly overcast sky. I'm hoping for good weather for a hike on one of the trails here today, but especially for our foray into San Antonio on Wednesday.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day, gets out to vote if you haven't already, and trust God for the results whatever they may be.

Morning all
Today is moving day for me - I'm going to Florence OR. It's just an 80 mile trip but it's 80 miles in the rain on highway 101 ! That's like 500 miles on a normal road - HA !!! I am sort of nervous about it but I know I can do it, like I tell Molly "we're brave girls" :D
That's about all I have planned for today - once I get there I'll just set up and then put out all my little doo-dad's - for some reason I didn't put them out when I got here and I miss seeing them ! Actually the place where I put several of my decorative things has been taken over by the pets ! They love having that extra space to lay but I think I'll have to take it back from them :D
I hope you all have a wonderful day and lets hope there aren't any "hanging chads" !!!

Good Morning All, I have been to the polls and had breakfast. I worked all weekend on leaves and the ground is covered again. It is a rainy gloomy day so think I will curl up with a book. Made chicken soup yesterday so I am set. Have a good day.

Good morning gals. Played tennis early this am and left the cleaning til I got back. DH was sitting and reading when I returned. When he saw me, he jumped up and pretended like he had been cleaning the kitchen. HA! Voted with an absentee ballot so haven't had to wait in these long, long lines. This is FL, so have no idea what the final vote here will be-maybe we'll be "hanging" again.  Hope the coffee is still hot-I sure could use some. carold
