OMG, I think "morning coffee" is the place for me??? I'm still overwhelmed by all the choices on the forum, but since I'm such a morning person, perhaps I'll join you early risers more often. Beautiful thoughts and memories expressed by all of you for 9/11. I think my next overnight will be to the PA Memorial--I'm close enough to that! And Soos, Fkft is near Utica, and NEAR enough to Saranac Lake! YES, we must meet up, so PM me with your details!!!! YIPPEE, meeting another sister! ...How did Tyler do!!!??? Hope all is well. And congrats to ??? (don't remember now) who got internet at home! :P Makes life so much easier, huh? I'll need to spend more time on this site to get to know all of your names, but wishing you all a great day! :D

No breakfast for me this morning - I have to have bloodwork this morning - the fasting kind. And my appointment isn't until 10:40. They offered to take me at 1:30 yesterday - ummmm no! I'm having to do this for insurance purposes- how messed up is that?

Now we have a chance of rain for the weekend - I'm still planning on going out. As long as it isn't storming, I can sit under the awning and enjoy the rain. And if not, rain on the roof of the tin home still sounds like naptime :)

But I need to get a new battery and a few other repairs before I can leave. Not traveling for 4 months make this first fall trip fun.

carolb....looks like you figured out how it works just fine. :) Mostly you just start the thread...say good morning and the rest of what you add or offer about your day is up to you. The food and morning beverages are a given and even if the "morning" opener doesn't offer them herself....in our own imagination when know that we can find whatever inspiration we need to face the day! We just check out the cabinets.... :D

There is no requirement to recap the information from all the other threads......most of us read all those treads ourselves. :) .... and leave our comments, encouragements and condolences in the threads. But I also know that many enjoy re-posting information on the morning thread and many readers enjoy reading those comments....

Either way...hope everyone has a good day today. I finished up more of the "paperwork" and filing that needed to get done after being on the road for 4 months. I took the "Short Bus" over to the truck wash and for $40 they were able to wash the cemented Alaskan bugs off and cleaned the roof. They didn't even charge me the extra fee the sign said the could have for "extra dirty" ...so the boys got an extra tip instead... Now I just need to get in ans wash down the floors so that I can reassemble the insides with all the clean bedding and put stuff back away. But I might just take today off to do some visiting with the dogs.....

Till tomorrow I am out of here....

Morning everyone! I am learning this sleeping in thing.  It was after 7:30 when I woke up again this morning. Of course, I woke up at 3:30 first thinking it was time to get up. Looked at the clock and decided it definitely wasn't. Then woke up again at 5:00. Used to be I would have gotten up then. Instead when Belle objected and burrowed further under the cover, I chuckled and went back to sleep too. Luke and Rascal just raised their heads to see what I was going to do. When I snuggled back down to go back to sleep, I could hear them sigh.  It was as if they were saying, "Yay, she's not going to make us get up and go outside yet".

My back and arms sure hurt today from wrestling Mom's chair out of the sand and back up the hill after she got stuck yesterday trying to get down to the lake. She is going to have to stay on paved or hard packed surfaces unless we get her some mud grip tires for her chair. She does just like Chuck used to. They both crank the speed all the way up and then spin out getting them into trouble. It is still my job to dig the chair out of whatever trouble it has been gotten into. Not always easy to do. The chair weights about 300 lbs and if it stuck in sand, it just has to be wrestled up and out. The motor can't help much in those circumstances. Good thing I keep Icy Hot on hand.

The guys that are going to fix my booboo where I backed into the post called this morning with their estimate. If insurance were going to be involved, the cost wold be $3750, but because I am paying for it myself, they have knocked it down to $2250. They are coming in the morning to get started on it. I definitely won't be trying to take any shortcuts again. This is an expensive lesson! If there does not look like I have plenty of room to turn, won't be going that way!

Red, how did Tyler do? I haven't seen any posts. May have missed them.

Everyone have a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning all. Sarah is on her way down here to Bham to go to Camping World. I need one thing, but don't know what all Sarah is interested in. Nan already took her on a shopping spree last year! But at least the seats in my SUV fold flat! Dawn, I had to laugh at your Mom getting stuck in the sand. She just wanted to see the lake! Maybe that would have been a time when help would have been accepted? Everyone have a great day. Wendy

  Wendy, it was already too late. I was standing at the lake with Belle. I turned around to see her getting out of her chair because she had been spinning her wheels and was good and stuck!

Carolb, you are not the only one who finds all the posts a little overwhelming. Having been on the road all summer, I am really behind - especially with all the blogs. However, it has been a joy to meet some of these ladies in person and I know there will be more.

We are traveling near the Washington Coast working our way to my daughter's in Orting, Washington, next week. LeRoy wants to go to Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier. First we are having a stop at the ocean - I need a fix.

We have just been in Port Angeles for my niece's wedding which was so much fun. I also got to visit with my long time BFF who is not good about keeping in touch. Her hubby had a brain aneurysm last year and I thought all was well - not so and it was difficult to see. His surgery has been declared successful, but he has symptoms that remind me of someone who had a slight stroke. More tests on the way.

For those who aren't familiar with the situation, I am a widow full-timing, but I met LeRoy in our Arizona winter park nearly two years ago. This is far from a permanent relationship, especially after traveling together to Alaska. We are just too different!! We will remain friends, but I am taking my life back. I am hoping to sell the 5er this winter so I can go back to traveling full-time instead of sitting in one park all winter.

Wishing you all a wonderful day and safe travels.

Wendy, I think because she has to rely on me to do most things for her now, she just did not want me to know how stuck she was. I am hoping on down the road, we will be camped where she can get close to the water if she wants to. Maybe a boardwalk or something like that. There is a dock here, but I am hesitant about suggesting she get on it. There are no rails and she does not know how to swim so I think I will keep that to myself. I have visions of first having to fish her out of the water and then her chair.  not to mention her little dog.

Her health has gone way down since Chuck suggested I ask her if she wanted to travel with me. Back then, she was able to take care of herself. Now, not so much. I am glad we are in MH because she has no steps to climb other than going in and out. It is hard for her to get from her chair in MH now to the kitchen or bathroom. She does need to keep moving as much as possible or she will lose all mobility. As we travel to more active places, maybe that will help her.

It is not morning anymore, so good afternoon everyone. I was at the Drs this AM. Tyler is doing well. They removed 7 masses, but lab results won't be back until next week. I can't even begin to count the stitches. Biggest challenge is to keep him from scratching or chewing on the stitches. The pain meds keep him asleep most of the time. I have to remove the belly wrap to,let him P 8-)

Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe. Aloha

It's way past late now but thought I would post anyways.

I am the one who had internet hooked up at home. Just moved in a few weeks ago so was without cable and internet for awhile. Luckily, when I move into the permanent apartment in a few more weeks, I can get it all transferred over without any fee.

I worked a split shift today (9-1 and 5-9) so I came home in between and took a 2 hour nap. Good day for it as it was cold (56) and rainy (far cry from yesterdays 96 and sunny! 40 degree difference!). Got a new memory foam mattress and that is wonderful! May get a soft fluffy mattress pad tho.

Got home tonight and Lola was all frisky! She was bouncing off the walls and batting her toys around all over for about 15 minutes! Was a riot to watch! I think she really loves all the space now. It looks like I will be aquiring one of the cats from the house I was living in. She is the sweetest thing! I hope Lola likes her too. Her name is Little Kitty but I will change that.
Still have to name my fish

There is an RV show in town starting tomorrow that I am thinking of going to just to look around (unless I win one, I won't be coming home with one anytime soon :( ). I haven't been to one before so could be fun! I have the day off with nothing to do anyways.

Hope you all had a good day!

Barbie, really glad to hear Lola is liking her new space. Since they will have room now to get to know each other slowly, the Little Kitty and Lola can take it at their own pace. I got a good visual of her playing with her toys. Batting them around and chasing them. What fun. I love to watch the dogs play with their toys. Now that they are getting older, it doesn't happen as often anymore.

Be sure and let us know what you rename Little Kitty.

I guess I'm really a late poster today, but better late than never. Today is my Mom's 76th birthday, so we went shopping and had lunch with my aunt. Overall, a good day. :)
