Off and Running Tuesday!

Good Morning Ladies,
Gads, it's Tuesday already! My last day off for this week, But then I guess I had better not wish that, cause when I am done working, there are 7 months of looking for things to do after awhile. For the first couple or so, I am busy with the fall chores, but by November, thngs are starting to slow down around here and I don't get into "spring cleaning" till about February or so. But I am lining up some sign making projcts for this winter and who knows, I might go hang out in the U.P. for awhile although the budget will decide that.
Had a great trip through the islands yesterday. Weather was good for awhile, but you could see the rain moving in and it was just a matter of time before it hit us in the islands. Didn't last a long time, but enough to send all but perhaps a half dozen of us hardy souls below deck to the lower level. I watched the weather before I left and was prepared for it. But once it quit, folks started coming back up and it never did rain again, but stayed cloudy and it was downright chilly. I had put on a sweatshirt and a fleece hoodie under my windbreaker and I was glad I did. At first I wondered if it was an overkill, but I have been out on the big lakes long enough to know that weather can turn on an instant and those waters are cold to begin with anyway. At one point I actually wished I had a pair of light gloves along, but that was no big deal. And it was windy out on the open lake too. A flying spray kind of day. Either had better be sitting down or holding on to something if you were standing cause the boat was heading into 3 foot waves and it was a bit rough, but fun. Will post picture as soon as I get them into the ocmputer, fight with photobucket and then get them posted.
Getting ready to take Tessa for yet another vet vist to check and see how the infection is coming. She did have an accident in her bed yesterday, but otherwise I haven't found anything other than a little wet spot in my breezeway the other day. She may be leaking which means I will have to increase the Proin. A nulmber of you have suggested "doggie diapers", but with a long haired dog, that can create problems within itself too. Especially collies who have thick coats to start with and a lot of hair on their tails and legs. No, we will deal with the problem. Then after she's done, I am bringing her home and heading to town to do my shopping and banking etc. After that, I am not sure what I am getting into. Not in the mood for doing anything around here in a way. Maybe will go see my friend in Roscommon. Shall see. Do need to paint the trim on my deck, but don't hav ethe paint picked out yet and would rather do that when I have two days to do it. Paint it on one day and the second coat the next day. Won't take long, but don't want to leave too many days between coats.
Having to use my gas stove or furnace in the mornings now to take the chill out of the house, so you know fall is approaching. Going into the upper 70's again this week, so will be nice.
I sense an MH in Red's future
Haven't had time to read the AK trip blogs so that will be a good rainy fall day project, perhaps while I am up in the U.P. on my fall vacation if not before.
Yep, sure does sound like summer is winding down. Folks making GTG plans for points south, wrapping up our summer jobs, coming home from trips and schools already in session in some parts of the country. Our do not start here till after Labor Day, but football seasons are starting this week.
Got to get going here. Have a good one
