And a Good Morning to everyone,
Gosh, middle of the week already, time is going by. Actually it's the start of my next work week. Been off the past couple of days, so now back to the grind. And tonight is our end of season staff party before some of our college students start leaving for school again. I picked up the plates, cups, silverware and napkins yesterday, my share of bringing something. Since I am working to 6:30 and party starts at 7, that was the easiest thing to bring for me.
Breakfast was bagel and strawberries this morning. Toasted in my little toaster oven, since my toaster died. May as well use the oven since I have it here. Does great job. Will eventually get new toaster. Have eggs, sausage, muffins and toast if anybody wants any.
Tessa's checkup at the vet came out very well yesterday. Her higher levels a bacteria are down to just about none and the other levels are pretty much normal again, so the infection is going away. I take her back next week to our regular vet who was on vacation and go from there. May have to keep her on antibiotics for awhile to make sure it's all cleared up. These aren't bothering her and she's prretty well her normal self. She's never been an overly active dog to begin with. Kind of always just laid around except when it was showtime. Right now she's curled up on her bed here, snoozing away. Had a busy week with doggie baths on Monday, vet appt. yesterday and a trip up to Burt Lake State Park with a nice long walk through the woods, full of all kinds of doggie sniffs. Looks very content right now.
Looks like all eyes are on Dawn and Janice as they get their new rigs and get ready to hit the road to new adventures. And Linda, no, I don't have any desire to drive a MH that big even for advertising purposes, although I would love to be doing the promotion part and giving out info, talking to people etc. I believe that is just a one year thing for this year only.
BarbZee, ssounds like all you test came out fairly normal considering all the "stuff' like stents and so forth in your heart. My goodness girl, you're going to be bionic women with all that. Take care now and follow the doctors orders. Love your sense of humor. Actually laughter is the best medicine.
Ava, don't know how anybody can work and do anything in 116 degrees. Man, that's hot. But I guess we adjust to whatever we have to. Won't be much longer and you can leave it all behind, retire and hit the road to new adventures too. I'm watching your little line at the bottom of your signature.
Hope none of our sisters are near any of the areas where those terrible wildfires are burning. Watching the pictures on the news is saddening with all those homes going up in flames and so far one firefighter and one other lady have been killed. Then there was the big storm in TX as well. I'm not complaining about our near perfect weather up here in MI right now. So thankful for it.
Well, guess it's time to move along here. Got to get ready for work in a little while. Wish I were going in a bit earlier as I'm up and full of energy and ready to roll here. Couple of more weeks and will probably be back to the 8 shift all the time. Usually after Labor Day we all shift back. Park is slowly slowing down and the week before Labor Day, the reservations are showing a big drop. Labor Day weekend we will fill up and then after that, not much going on. The seniors will be out camping after all the families are gone although we have had a lot of them this summer too. We will be doing other projects in the park before we all leave at the end of Sept. as well.
Wishing all of you a wonderful day.

Good morning Sue and everyone else. I just got back from my walk with Tyler. The temp is back to bearable in the early AM. Tyler is happy. Although he hates the heat as much as I do, he didn't understand the hiatus from walks for the past 2 months. I'm anxiously awaiting pictures of Dawn's new MH, Sunshine. That reminds me of the John Denver song: Sunshine on my shoulder always makes me feel good, or fine or ?? Anyway it is a "feel good" song that is hard to get out of your head once you think about it
Aloha everyone. Stay cool and be safe if you're on the road.

I make them in half dolla size...so I've got enough made up for the next 2 weeks.. I freeze them...any way getting back to Ms Tessa... I'm so happy that she's doing better... and maybe think about putting a little lemon juice in her water ...it helps with cystitis...flushing those kidneys......I've been doing this for years with mine..as those females when squatting down their bottoms hits more the ground and pick up the dirt... I can only park ya in my driveway for 3 days...it's that HOH crappola..sucks..but I have hook up for 30 amp and free WIFI via my connection..and of course if you can't make yourself and home..well then GO HOME>.hahahaha...nah... I just love to have you come visit..
Most my day is planned with emptying cabinets..OMG..this sucks cause I throw out stuff but then a year or so later I wind up buy the crap I threw out..go figure... but i always say.. "if I haven't used it in a year or so...it's color me gone"...then I get someone who sends me a recipe..and what cha think...the tool I threw out..well..I'll be dipped.. LOL

I am so glad Tessa is doing better!
Barb glad you got a pretty good set of results. However, be sure to stay in tune to your body.
Red, love that John Denver song! Sunshine was absolutely the name that came to me as I was driving home. I am working on getting my "Sunshine" personality back. That used to be what Chuck always called me before my name became Momma. I was always so up and he said I was just a ray of sunshine no matter what. He and the girls just hated it that I always got up singing. They were a bunch of grumps early in the morning.
Darla still gripes about the "Get Up" song I made up to wake them up in the mornings.
Y'all will be really proud of me! I was scared of driving until I actually put it in drive and started. Then it felt like driving one of my big vans I always drove when the kids and grandkids were little. Just had to remember was longer. I had no trouble turning corners even with cars in the road waiting for the light in the road I was making a right turn onto. I even got it backed up into my spot behind Mom's right where I wanted it. It took a couple times to pulling back forward and cutting the wheel more because of the length, but I did it! I now know I can do this. The only problem I had was the strong winds from the storms coming in. The winds moved me over more than they used to in my vans, but I slowed down to compensate and correct. Ido have to watch my lead foot though!
I am planning on starting my blog and posting pics as I get it made my own. Should have that up and posted in a few days. I know Barb Z already boasted she got the virtual tour when I got the levelers down and the slides out. I had promised her I would.
you know Barb!
I have quite a bit of decorating to do before I really show it off. Bear with me.
Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe!

Okay, so today no disco or forties! Its Sunshine on my Shoulders by John Denver ( I had his songbook when I took guitar lessons) or You are My Sunshine! Red, you mentioned a clarinet, I played saxaphone, if we are ever in the same place with a few others we can have a band! Everyone have a great SAFE and FUN day!!! Wendy

Glad that you found the driving a lot less intimidating than you thought it would be. It's not that the big rigs won't go fast but, besides it being a lot less safe, you will pay for it big time at the pump. So when you are tempted to push the pedal, remember the pump! Glad that Sunshine is finally filling your life.

Stealing a quick peek at the boards (I'm at work) and it looks like Hump Day is off to a good start. Barb's a little perked up, Dawn's a lot perked up
- Dawn,
Sunshine is
the perfect name! - Tessa's feeling better and Red's cooler. (Did I mention I'm at work?
)
I know a lot of you hang out here - hadn't seen many Judy posts until I checked here - so I'm going to try to poke my head in more often, daytime schedule permitting. I probably won't make it for breakfast though.
Have a great day, all.

Glad to hear Tessa is doing better! Sounds like Sunshine is gonna be a great new home for Dawn and Mom! (I also learned John Denver songs on the guitar! Also played the clarinet in school but was kicked out of band 3 years later when they discovered I couldn't read music and was just playing by ear!)
I had planned to get up really early this morning to head over to the huge rummage sale at my dad's church. I wanted to get in line a hour or so before the doors opened at 9, but when I woke up, there was a really nasty storm just hitting here with torrential downpour for half an hour or more, so I just rolled over and went back to bed. Got up a few hours later and drove over there. There is just SO MUCH stuff to look at! I really don't need much but did find a really nice, almost new winter coat and snow pants, some books, and two faux plants. One is a palm tree and the other one is a wisteria tree with beautiful purple flowers on it. Only $4!! It was too big for my room so I put it out on the deck right outside my one bedroom window. Looks really nice! I have a split shift tomorrow at work so will go back for their half price sale in the afternoon and see what is left.
It cleared up for most of the day now but we are supposed to get some severe storms this evening.
I better get off my butt here and get to the store. I am out of cat food and Lola isn't happy! Like they say "If the cat ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

Ellen--did you know that if you go to the 1st page of the forum, near the top you'll find "View New Posts". Click on it and it will bring up all the new posts in the forum. Once you see that list, you'll see a little red and blue box next to the title. Click on it and it will bring up the newest post in that group. Once you've read them, use the back arrow at the top of your computer screen to get back to the list of all the new posts. Makes it soooo much easier to keep up with things in the least amount of time.

Colleen - I LOVE learning new things! Really! That's a neat way to do it. Thanks! Now I only have to cheat my office half the time I was cheating them. Ooops Wait, KariFlint reads this too, and besides being a good friend, she's a co-worker. Ah well, she'll never see this, right? After all, she's working! LOL!

There is also a button for Unread Posts which is what I use.
