Sleepy Sunday Morning

it is 9:30 and no coffee yet, guess I'd better get the pot going. I wanted to sleep longer this morning after being up at three with Winnie. She is having a bad patch and has gone from not using her paper during the night to needing it and not being good about 'centering'. Once I got that cleaned up I took her out and decided I was hungry...by that time of course I was also wide awake. I had hoped the thyroid pills the vet put her on would help but so far seem to have made her symptoms more unpredictable.

Soos, did you get your phones working? I also ordered a Panasonic from Amazon but got the one with 4 phones as there was little difference in that and the one with three. Not sure about it, so far I'm getting a lot of interference but I was testing them before they were fully charged so will see. There is also a feature called EQ that can be turned off if this continues.

Going to check the temp and see if it is cool enough to go to church. Today is supposed to be the hottest yet but the morning started off quite nice in the mid sixties.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

good morning ladies,
I slept until the alarm went off, I must have been tired.
Dogs are fed, and they've gone back to bed, I'm on my second cup of coffee and thinking about something to feed my tummy.
Wondering how Mitch is doing and also wondering if Vickie got the lawn mowed so the neighbors don't keep knocking on her
door asking for a job to do yardwork. although, if it were me I'd say "hell ya, go mow the lawn for me" Also hear theres
a storm brewing so gotta go look that up and see which of my forum sistahs is in the path of this storm. Always pray no body
gets damage or injuries from the storms.
Watched a good movie yesterday, Man from Snowy River. I had seen it a couple times before but somehow had always missed
the concept of the story line. Too busy watching the beautiful horses I guess but anyway, it was a good movie. Will hope the
Man from Snowy River two airs in the near future, had seen that too but wondering if I missed the concept of the storyline
as well. Running horses are so pretty and the photography is fabulous in these movies.
Washing rugs today, its been a long time since I washed them, can't believe I skipped over them so long. Laundry is one of
my favorite chores so its just weird that they didn't get done recently.
Goin for that third cup of coffee now and making a little toast this time.
Ya'll have a great day, be safe and let us know what your up to :D

GOOD MORNING BJ AND ALL!

I sure hope they can figure out something for litle Winnie to make hers and your lives easier and more fun. It's so tough and nerve-wracking to have a sick 4-footer. Molly still limps from the injury her fall off my bed a month ago, but the doggy pain pills, quartered, seem to help quite a bit---Deramax, I believe they are. Still it's worrisome for me.

Ava, I, too, recommend your keeping that check until you see where it really needs to go, and, in the meantime, use the money for something more pressing for yourself.

Another spectacular sunny Sunday here today, after a very cool (46 at 2:30 am when I came out here to bed) evening with a black sky filled with billions and billions of stars! Orion and I had a fun evening walking around the property with me pushing him in his jogging stroller and my two dogs having a great time sniffing all the wildlife signs. We walked to the pond and back via the various trails in the woods and fields.

Then I fed him a huge bowl of home-made baby food Mandy made with her great little gadget, the Baby Bullet----he had chicken, beets, sweet potatoes, and some cereal all blended, which he wolfed down in nothing flat. Then he and granmmasoo rocked in the lounger while I sang him some songs and he tried to imitate me! I folded out the sofa bed for us, changed us both into clean clothes, warmed a bottle of mama's milk, and to bed we went. At 2:30 a taxi brought the kids home, and after making sure they were all safe and sound inside the house, I came out here to my frigid bedroom trailer after stopping to take in the view of a spectacular summer sky and was quickly warmed up by Molly and my sleeeping bag.

Today I will finish mowing the lawn and mend the tear in the screen room that one of the kids' dogs accidentally put in it while stretching his massive frame out alongside it. And then it will be a good day to get the leanto whipped into shape for some camputs down there.

Those of you in Louisianna and the Texas coast keep your eyes on the weather as Hurricane (don't know its name) is heading your way.

Happy Sunday!

Morning all,

Woke up before the alarm went off this morning. By 9:00 had already had several cups of coffee, fed the big dogs and chickens, puttered in the kitchen for a few minutes cleaning some appliances and now getting hungry. Having an English muffin with some orange marmalade. After that, load of laundry and then tackling getting the bathroom closet and shelves boxed up for Darla.

Soos, sounds like you had a wonderful time with Orion. I love being a Grandma. Can just spoil and enjoy. Don't have to worry about being the the one to discipline. Of course, Tahra says I have always had trouble with the word no when it came to any of them. Worse with the Grandkids.

Ava, The Man for Snowy River and the Return movie were 2 of Chuck's favorites so have seen them many times. They are really good. Most good movies you can watch multiple times and see something different each time.

Redetory, hope your 4 legged baby gets better.

Going to eat my muffin before it gets cold. Everyone have a wonderful day.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

It's gonna be another warm one today. Gads this heat and humidity is horrible. It's 82 right now and suppose to go to 90. Fun, NOT!

I am home for the day today. Truck broke down last night and wouldn't start. It was late enough that the we couldn't ride the trolly so we had to take a taxi home. We had already done laundry and stopped at Micky D's for something to eat before going to WalMart to get groceries. When we came out of M D's the the truck wouldn't start. Called son and left a couple of messages then called again this morning and left a couple of more. Helpless feeling when ya break down like that. Had to load the laundry in the taxi but at least we hadn't already gotten groceries!! Had to call out of work and I really hate doing that. Even when sick I will still go in, so calling off when not sick really bites. Not to even mention the loss of a days wages. Figured it would be best to be home to help with the truck or even call a tow truck if needed. Son has called back and is on the way to work on truck. Says most of his tools are locked up at work and his work is closed today. So am hoping that he has enough tools at home in his truck to do the job. He says that he will have to pull the steering wheel and might have to go to Auto Zone and rent a puller. Yep that saying, "it never rains unless it pours" is at work here! But it's not a full blown storm yet! There is still a chance that I will have to have the truck towed from M D's to home but I will cross that ditch when I need to. At least it broke down now and not between here and TX to pick up the new to us trailer! ;)

Other than getting the truck fixed the only thing I have planned is picking up the trailer and doing some dishes. This poor thing needs a good cleaning and I guess today is a good day to do it.

Hope everyone has a really good day and does their very best to stay safe and cool with all the heat.

Love to all

 Ava, I got the whole yard mowed yesterday, so we're good to go! I wanted to get it done because today and Monday the temps are supposed to be 99 with heat index at 105!

I'm doing up all the laundry today in preparation to not knowing what Debby is going to do in the Gulf. They still don't know if it's going east or west. In addition to those living in FL, I'm thinking about Colleen and Martha there on vacation.

Last night they were saying straight for TX, this morning it sounds like FL or AL. They don't really know for sure about Debby.
I need to study today - I have the first part of my big project due today. I am just so tired and tired of being stressed - less than 2 weeks to go. Two weeks from today I should be heading for Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan!

It's raining in Panama City but not hard, just wet. Looks wet for all week long. Texas girls aren't used to this--well, at least those who don't live in East Texas aren't used to it.

Now that I've gotten two cups of coffee, a banana and cereal in me, I'm coherent enough to post!

I'm sorry your Winnie has been struggling. I know how hard it is to be a doggie mommie/nurse to an ailing pet. And Soos, what a beautiful time you are having with your little Orion. Precious memories with your grand-boy.

Doing a lot of packing and cleaning this morning in anticipation of signing a contract with my realtor tomorrow. Carpet cleaners and the locksmith are also coming that day. I had security doors installed after DH died, and somehow the keys to the house doors walked off over the years. So I need to re-key the place. The buyers may do the same thing, but that's none of my business. I'll leave them a note saying the only key that has been given out went into the realtors' lock box.

My son and stepdaughter came over yesterday and we helped that sweet girl load up & take ALL of late DH's outdoor gear from the shed. Now it's all cleared out. I was just flummoxed about what to do with it all. Such a gift.

So much has been done in getting ready to sell. Now it's that niggling little #!$&% that is getting to me. LOL. Onward! My goal is to turn the key over to my agent on Friday.
