Good Morning !!! Tried to respond to a Pm and lost it . Won't make this long. I'm out of hospital, not well, that's long time coming I've been told. Heart issue hopefully can be helped , its a problem in future for now.

I've been fine since the dr. Told me I should be able to cont. my travels. One day she says no, next day I confronted her, we had a good talk , seems she admired my spunk, Hey you love traveling , be a big job finding something worth time. Right??? So spirits are back and that means the battle of illness has lost!!!! Not sure now when I can get back on the road, some time I think. Am hoping for winter in Fl, so I have a goal.

My sis came and has moved me in her hotel, medical happy I wasn't going far. Family should be here sometime today, I get to see my Maggie, So happier days are here and all will be well in tme.

Thank you all for your thoughts, Prayers and MSG, just finding so many here this morning.. So good to boost spirits. Good friends are a real Blessing to us all.

Have a Super great day !!! I will be in touch when my service allows

CArol. Stay safe on the roads and enjoy Each min of your day

Good morning Carol and everyone!

Carol, I'm so glad you are out of the hospital, but please take it easy and take care of yourself. I know you can't wait to see Maggie and after you are stronger, you can start planning for your next trip.

We've had stormy nights with lots of rain on the eastern shore of MD the past few evenings and it looks like there is a chance of storms every night this week. I'm looking forward to warmer temperatures.

The Curves I was attending closed but one of the members bought all the equipment and several of us are going to her place today to see if we can workout there. That would be great if that were possible.

Have a great day, whatever you are doing.

So good to se you post CArol!! I know you are relieved the doctor said you can continue to travel and that you are going to see Maggie today. Take care and continue to get better. Lot of hugs and good thoughts coming your way.
Irmi, hope the 'new' Curves works out. Send some of that rain our way we are soooooo dry. I'm worried about a tree in our front yard, several of the leaves are turning brown. It is so unusual to have no rain this time of year.

Good morning Carol and everybody! So happy that you and Maggie have more travels to look forward to, Carol. I know when cancer and chemo kept me down for a year, it was this forum and dreams and plans for future trips that kept me looking up. Hope you get to spend some quality time with Glenn and family while you are recuperating. Take it slow and follow doctor orders.

The Alaska bound travelers are entering Canada today, so Internet service will be limited to when we have free Wifi. I'm sure we'll have some tales to tell.

Hope everyone has something to look forward to this day.

Wow! So fantastic to hear from you Carol, and to hear you so upbeat! What a way to start the morning! I don't post much here 'cause there's not much going on in this neck of the woods but I check every morning. Give that Maggie girl a hug from me after you get done crying and hugging all over her!

Liz, sorry not much to look forward to here, just a well woman check (and we all know what that entails! :D ) and have a memorial service this afternoon for a biker friend. Not looking forward to that, I don't usually go to these things since Jack passed, but it's support for the BF. He had a heart attack last week when he went to break up a dog fight. You guys drive safe and have fun! Check in when you can.

Have fun at your workout Irmi, and send BJ some of your rain...actually, we could use some, too!

How come when I am finally retired and can sleep in, I can't sleep in????

I am up this morning and ready to run a bunch of errands, including a doctor's appointment and checking out moving vans.

Glad you are able to travel, Carol. Other than maybe being a bit weak for a while and needing to be near doctors who know your condition, I can't imagine why travel would not be OK, especially for someone who is so used to it as a lifestyle.

So good to hear from you, Carol. Keep that great positive attitude and you will back out with the rest of the group before you know it..no doubt getting your hands on your Maggie will speed up the process too.
Yesterday I spent the afternoon unloading my mh again. I am pretty sure the guy coming will buy her but I won't load her again as I will advertise again until she sells. I might be without the ability to travel until this happens and I can get her replacement. I am doing some serious shopping. I might consider a trailer or 5'er if they had generators (just don't want to hassle with one in the truck). If anyone knows of any 28 to 30' with generators, let me know.
I then got into my overgrown front beds and started cutting holly back to the ground with my lopping shears. My son can then throw a chain around them and pull them out. I will be able to see the azaleas behind them when this is done. I'll just smooth up the ground and let next owner plant what they want and I would recommend annuals to them. While I was lopping a big cloud came up and I just ignored. All of a sudden it started hailing..I got Rudy into the house and we watched it hail then start the most beautiful rain. It rained off and on all night. I left my window cracked and I could hear the trees, grass and shrubs saying 'thank you, thank you'. Even the little birds and animals were making happy sounds.

Sounds like you are making progress CArol!

Nan - the only trailers I've seen with built-in generators have been toy haulers. Mine is going in the back of the truck but it's "not that heavy". I was able to get it from the cart into the truck when I bought it and that was when it was all boxed up and awkward to handle. I have a Champion 2000ei.

I looked briefly and there are camping sites available this weekend but I don't know what it's going to bring as far as studying. I really want to get out there.

GOOD MORNING CAROL AND ALL!

What a wonderful coffee hour today to see that "Carolinagal" signature opening us up! I am so happy to hear you have been released, and hope you can spend some great time with your son, daughter, and family and Maggie! Mind the docs now, and don't be headstrong (HAH!) so you can get back out onto the roads soon! If you can spend the winter in FL, I think there may be quite a few of us down there this winter, so we will be good company for each other! I am quite sure Irmi and Steve and Kathleen and Pete and I will be there, for starters, at least for part of the winter for Pete. Looking forward to some good times down there and exploring more of the neat campgrounds.

Happy to hear you finally got some rain, Nana!!! It sounds as if you have quite a job of landscaping going----would love to see the final results. I am not sure if any trailers or 5th wheels have built-in generators, but having a generator in the bed of your pickup is easy---at least for me. I would like a bigger one that would run my AC in case of 100 degree temps, but my Honda 2000 runs everything else quite well, including the microwave, and charges my batteries in nothing flat. It is quiet, easy to load and unload, and I run it out on the tailgate when I need it----I have it cable locked in, and just slide it out so I can pull it and fill it with gas when necessary. I am considering getting the mate for the duo Hondas with the connecting kit, so I could run my
AC and still have the strength to move each generator rather than one huge one. Something to think about.

I am drinking some English Toffee cappuccino stuff I decided to try, and I must say that I prefer my decafe coffee! Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained!

My daughter goes to a university retreat with a ton of presentations and discussions today near here, so I will be in charge of little Orion for most of the day, I think. His daddy might stick around some of the time, but I plan to go inside the houase, turn on the heat (they tend to leave it FREEZING in there) and spend the day watching brain cells multiply at a speed faster than light! I love watching his progress from hour to hour, let alone day to day. This is a three-day retreat thing, but she already told them she needs to come home at night as she is Orion's milk supply! She has some stored up for me to use today, thank heavens, because he sure does demand that milk when he gets tired of playing and exploring.

I hope all the Alaska travelers are having pleasant weather. I am looking forward to the crossing of the mountains, but I suspect we won't hear about that until they get back to being able to use internet connections. Patience is not one of my virtues! (Sometimes I wonder if I have any!)

The two dogs and I managed a walk yesterday between showers, and both of them stayed right near me, behaving like good pups who have been trained. Molly had no zapper collar on at all, as I have only one at this point, which I gave to Dinah as she is the newbie. I had to make the collar sound only, no zap, just once, when she started off on an underbrush trail scent of something. Back she came immediately like a good dog! Of course, we haven't met up with any four-hoofers (deer) yet on the trails, and that will be the ultimate test! I will need to fasten some ID tags on the new zapper collars that are in the mail so that if they do stray, anyone finding them can get in touch with me. The tags will need to be non-metal so as to not interfere with the zapping, if necessary. Right now, Dinah has no ID as I remove her regular collar when she dons the zapper one.

Time for a cup of real coffee now, Hazlenut with vanilla creamer, and then off to the house to get ready for my smarty-grandson! Happy Monday to all!

Carol, so glad you are out of the hospital and getting Maggie back with you. Be sure and take care of yourself while you regain your strength so you can hit the road again.

We may get more rain off and on this week starting this evening. I hope we do. Sure don't need drought like we had last year. Going to fix another cup of coffee and get back to cleaning out the closet in the guest room. SIL cut up the tree limbs the storms last week brought down and GD helped box up Chuck's movie collection to take to their house. Chuck loved his movies and so had hundreds on both VHS, DVD and Blue Ray. GD really wanted to have all the Disney movies we had collected back when they lived with Chuck and me when they were little. She watched so many of the movies over the years with her PawPaw.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day today!

CArol, So good to read you are out of the hospital...Now as far as that "Heart " issue...don't let that put a blinker on anything.. I mean Sistah..I've been dealing with that for years.. it's in the Mind Set..truly..take your meds and when you feel tired rest..That's what I do and yeah some days it's a bummer..but I'm still going..Soon I'll be doing some Adventures too..just a few side tracks in my life.. But ..now listen up... With today's meds and science there's no stopping with what we're able to do... You've gone through a lot recently and that sure does play havoc on our systems... Plus think of this..all the Sistahs here..well they'll certainly keep you on track and lots of places to stop on the way to visit...hint, hint...remember you were gonna stop by and visit with me...well this coming winter...I'll be anxious to see ya ...Ya Hear !!! LOL

CArol you are in my prayers and I know there's lots more for you to venture off and see...psst maybe just maybe we can get another caravan together down the road and do a trip to Alaska...I know I'm working on it...gonna be down sizing my big rig and hopefully my knees will be getting done..(crossing and dotting all t's and i's )...

So good to know you are with your Sister and soon to be with your Son too...Take care and keep that positive attitude going strong..Hugs to Maggie as well..I know she's happy to have her Mamma !

God's Blessings are on you ..."Big Time"

Carol - how wonderful to see your post! Selfishly, I hope you do determine Florida as your goal as its a gtg that I know I can make. If you need help getting there, need help while there, need help leaving there *chuckle* etc.. as Soos mentioned, there are some of us that are in that area that are more than willing to assist. Don't hesitate to ask. Matter of fact.. just TRY to get rid of us.. won''t happen. 8-)

Yeah, Carol is back and telling the doctors what she will be able to do! So enjoy your new plans for the summer and if I have any money left after Alaska who knows where I will end up this winter! I also especially wanted to thank Carol for needed to drop in to Murdoch's in her search to find boots. She never found any but mine have been so comfortable. So thank you again for helping spend my money. I haven't tried the flannel jeans, yet....but in time they will be fully appreciated.
