Yes, I remembered to say Rabbits this morning.
Rain here but so far none of the severe thunderstorms that were forecast. Cold front coming thru with promise for a beautiful, cooler weekend. If I can get caught up on a few things here today, Nicky and I might go spend at least part of the weekend at the campground where Magic is living for the time being. Rain coming back the first of the week along with heat.
It has been so good to have all the travelers blogs to look forward to as a way to begin or end my day. Thank you, ladies for taking the time to do that for us.
Good news from the eye doctor yesterday as I finally got around to a long over due exam. If he had left off the comment "for your age" it would have been even better.
I filled the van at Sams; gas was $3.19 for regular.
Wishing all a great day whatever you have planned.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!
Quiet here this morning. I'm just sitting here playing on the laptop and Kelly is going out the door to go do the bathrooms. She said it has been messy and nasty for the past week. The park was rather full over the holiday weekend and she said she has had plugged toilets to take care of and lots of toilet paper pieces to sweep up. Somebody has complained that there has been a washrag sitting in the laundry room for over a week that has not been taken care of or thrown out. Kelly says that she told the manager that she leaves it in there in case someone spills liquid laundry soap or softener and needs to wipe it up. There isn't a paper towel dispenser in there and it wouldn't be cost effective to have one either as people would wipe it out using it for way more than the laundry room. Manager just shook his head and said that there are some dumb people around!
For now we have the door wide open as it's cool outside. I opened it last night and it sure does seem nice to have it open and letting in the fresh air. It rained yesterday, last night and a little this morning and everything smells so fresh and clean!!! I love the fresh smell a good rain brings. It's a high one on my list of "good smells"!
Like the ocean, fresh cut hay, cut grass and fresh turned dirt!! Can ya tell that I'm a country girl at heart?
OK, off to read and catch up on ya'll. Hope everyone has a great day doing whatever it is you've got planned or unplanned. Stay safe and have fun.
Love to all

Woke up today and for the first time in many years did not have to go to work. Feels a little strange, but very nice to have a whole day to myself and a lot more to follow. Only problem is that I must have picked up a cold camping with my son and his family last weekend. Feel lousy and sore throat.
Schedule for today is making another trip to Goodwill to drop off stuff and a trip to the doctor for a pre-surgical checkup for my June 11 toe surgery. Just having a tiny bone spur or something removed from the side of my big toe, but it will certainly make it a lot easier to wear real shoes when all is healed. I have been wearing sandals most of the time for the past couple of years, even sometimes in the winter.
Condo is a real mess since I am just getting started with packing. Also, I need to open my new laptop, load some software, and get it set up today. Also need to backup this old one and transfer files to new one. OK, maybe wait until tomorrow for some of these tasks. Got to slow down now that I can.

Good Morning... cloudy here and cool will be maybe 60 today... hard to believe that a week ago it was blazing hot... this rain has done a number on this old body... I need to get moving sometime soon as Joy's graduation is the 10th... I have not begun to get things ready to take to Bright Hope for my summer travels... guess a list would help... on the list right now is to get the pain under control again... hot coffee seems to make the med work faster so guess what off I go for another cup!
wish I were there Sarah for that gas and a nice visit with you and Nicky... well fall will come soon enough!
Oh Judy hope that toe gets fixed soon... and Echo I never read your posts but I think of how far you have come... tell Kelly get her butt in gear and clean those toilets... yikes I hope she wears rubber gloves...
Have a great day everyone...
Kathleen

Wow, Judy. This is a big day for you--your first as a retired woman! Congratulations. It takes a while to get used to retirement but don't worry, you'll do just fine!

GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL!
It got down to 36 here last night, and am I glad I decided to turn on my electric heater out here in the trailer. Poor Weldon and Melissa slept upstairs in the house, no heat on in there, without realizing their windows were cranked open, with only one thin blanket, and Goog says he didn't sleep at all. I suspect they will be glad to get back to the heat and humidity! They should have landed back in Orlando by now, and I am waiting for a call to let me know they are safe and sound. We all got up at 6:00am and had breakfast before Mandy, Joe, and Orion drove them to the airport. Then the other three are off to visit Great Grandma Lavigne for a while.
Nobody here remembered to sy RABBITS, unfortunately.
I just reordered the same two-dog electronic training collars I had once before (and returned), but now have a good manual for, and an 800 phone number to call when I need help getting them up and running. I have extensively reviewed as many collar systems as I can find on the net, and this particular one still has all I want and need to feel comfortable walking the two dogs without losing either one of them to the wilds of the Adirondacks.
Congrats on your first day of retirement, Judy! Now the days will seem as if they are all Saturdays!
Off to the house to burn some paper trash before the rains hit here----rains predicted to last for many days, it would seem by reading the forecasts. Then to finish uppacking my truck so I can take a load of rubbish to the dump tomorrow in the rain.
I hope everyone is having a great first day of June wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing.

gas was $3.19 for regular
and I think $4.19 is a bargain out here!
Judy, congrats on your first day of retirement!! Also, try Zicam for your cold/sore throat. It will knock it out in a day or so!
Gorgeous day
again here in SoCal!! 75 and sunny!
PS> I remembered to say "rabbits" this morning, for the first time ever. So hopefully, it will help! (maybe my roommate will actually get married this month and I can get moved into her master bedroom finally!)
