Happy Mothers Day to you Kathleen and all of the Mothers out there. And I will walk slowly and enjoy all that is around me. Cold but sunny day here, and the atmosphere I think is being good to me, said I had an excellent signal, if true, its amazing .

We also have another occasion here to celebrate today, youngest grandson here is "21" today !! So I am cranking up the half time , and baking our traditional birthday cake for him. Sure hope I know what I'm doing  Lizzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!

Have a Wonderful day everyone, enjoy this day, but keep yourselves safe , Please .

CArol :)

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Happy Moms Day to all, those with human kids and of course those with furkids! Hope you all get extra hugs today or if not then I hope you get extra tail wags and licks!!!

It's a rainy drizzly day here, as soon as I woke up I could hear the rain hitting the roof of the TT. Took Shade out to P and she came back in with her legs and belly all wet. Had to grab a towel and dry her off the best that I could. As soon as I had scrubbed and fluffed her with the towel she grabbed a kibble, crunched it up and went back to bed. My bed of course, I knew she would so that's why I got the towel after her so quick! ;) Don't want so soppy wet dog in my blankies!!

As long as it's raining I have no idea what will be happening at work today. I am suppose to go in at 1pm and that's if they don't call to tell me to not bother. I hope they don't call as I could sure use the hours and money. Suppose to rain off and on all day today. Good for the flowers, trees and grass but not so good for park attendance. :|

OK, off to read and see what's up with ya'll. Have a great day everyone and to those on the road be extra careful while enjoying the scenery.

Love to all

Happy Mothers Day!
Recouping today after two days with my DD and 2 GDs at a horse camp. Great fun. A little sore. Yesterday was the trail ride, canoeing/kayaking but started out doing Buck. Buck is 4 barrels with saddles on them and attached to wheels with the axles off center and pulled by a tractor. As you move along the "horses" feel like they are bucking. Of course the faster the tractor goes the faster the bucking. Great food there, campfire and s'mores a must.
Have a blessed day!

Finished cleaning and sorting out my jewelry drawer. Also, emptied another drawer with photos "before digital" and put them along with my old movie camera and my movie cassettes into a large plastic bin.

Also, got into another cabinet in my kitchen and found some stuff to toss and some to donate. Packed a small coffee pot for my son for our upcoming camping trip, and started laying out groceries for that trip. The back end of my minivan is filling up again for my next load to the RV storage lot in Ohio.

Got a very nice Mother's Day gift from my California son yesterday--a small canister vac for my new RV. Other son had previously sent me some pepper spray and a personal siren alarm. One son called, and other will call later so I can talk to the kids of Skype later, so nice Mother's Day!

HAPPY MOM'S DAY TO ALL!

I left Fredericksburg KOA this morning at about 7:30, and arrived here at about 2:00-----after one harrowing trip after I got off I 81!! There are virtually NO KOA logo signs anywhere, not even out on 81 as there usually are. The person on the phone who gave me the instructions obviously had no clue how to tell me how to find this place. I found myself on a wide-wide (thank heavens for that) street of old stores and houses, and found a place where I could pull over and park truck and trailer. NOTHING in that entire town was open today! So I tried to call the camp;ground, and got the message that nobody could come to the phone, so leave a number and 'we will get back to you as soon as possible.' It was getting hot out, no breeze, no idea where I was, dogs getting hot, so I took dogs out and we walked to try to find a street name, or a town name. I got to the Jonestown Church, and found a Market Street sign. Back we went to the truck, and I drove to find some establishment open so I could ask directions. I finally found an open gas station, and turned in there. Luckily, the owner knew where the KOA was, and told me I was not far from it----and he was right. BAck through town in the other direction, left at fork, and it would be on my left. Not one sign for it until I almost drove past it----big sign on a pole not visible until you get under it! Arived to find the office closed until 7:00 tonight! Decided to park myself, pick the best site (none are really great!) and so I am hooked up with fuzzy cable TV, and had no internet as I needed a password which I was supposed to get in the office. I called the 800 number a few more times, leaving lovely messages, as by now I was fuming. I found another phone number in the KOA book that said INFORMATION, so I dialed it. LO! A human voice that said JOnestown KOA! She gave me the internet code, thank heavens, and so here I am.

If I find my way back to 81 when I leave, I will erase this campground off my list, for sure! If I don't make it back to 81, rest assured it will be anihalated anyway!

Eating a chicken pot pie now and plan to take a nap!

I hope Irmi, Steve, and Shirley have all made it safely home. It was sad to have to leave....we had a good time.

Trying to find a campground can be so frustrating. I know some of the girls like KOA's but I am not that impressed with the ones I have used the past few years. I drove into Gatlinburg hoping I could get a site (there was a huge crowd in town for Dolly's appearance in a parade). The first I stopped at was 55.00 before tax. I told the girl that was over my budget and she said she completely understood and directed me to the next one. I appreciated that to say the least. Please come out sun so I can go to Cade's Cove tomorrow. Today I have gotten caught up on some paperwork, tried to empty some trash out of my computer hoping to get it to act normally (mouse trying to freeze) but I am beginning to think the problem is something else, maybe a virus. I may go ahead and purchase a computer in Crossville at a Best Buy I found last week. Drive safely on home, Soos, all you Alaskan bound girls and everyone else on the road.
