MONDAY AT GA KOA

GOOD MORNING FROM KINGSLAND, GA KOA.

As soon as I got off I95 yesterday, the skies opened up here and we got nasty thunderstorms and hideous lightning. Throughout the night we had more. It's a tossup as to who hates lightning more, me or Molly. Dinah seems ok with anything.

I want to get packed and on the road again now before the predicted storms of the afternoon begin to show up. So, I will see you all later when I get to my next stop which is Point South KOA in SC.....only about 150 miles from here. I am not sure if I can get into my site too early, how ever. I guess I should call the site and see.

Happy MOnday to all.

Good morning Soos and Dawn and all who follow. Since Soos was in a hurry, I have hot oatmeal with blueberries, raspberries, and walnuts ready....and the coffee pot is always on here.

Mitch and I are going to run our rvs through the gauntlet at the local weigh station today and find out how much stuff we need to pitch out before the trip. Mitch's Dutch Oven is safely stowed under my dinette seat...balancing out all the stuff I have in that big compartment on the other side, haha.

Then Mitch is going to get her propane tanks filled. Later we expect a visitor...another mini gtg!

I believe rain is predicted here today...it's cloudy now. Been hot these past few days but a cool front is coming.

Wishing you safe travels today, Soos. You were smart to plan your trip in small manageable driving segments. And the same wishes to all the others who are on the road. Whatever you are doing, have fun!

Good morning from rainy Mo. Plan to set out the day here in one of my favorite CG s. Have plenty of things to do to fill my day. I could learn how to use this IPad correctly for one. Just lost one post so will not make this long. Just checking in. Maggie and I are having a great trip so far, supposed to be quite stormy from time to time today and that does not make her happy.

Soos, wishing you safe travels, glad you are home Kathleen and Wow unpacked already, good for you!!!

Interested to hear about the weight situation Mitch and Liz , your r.v.s of course !!!!

Have a good day is my wish for you all,

CArol ;)

Tell Mitch to fill her tanks before she gets weighed - otherwise that could be up to another 40 pounds of tongue weight.

I did something to mess up my foot this weekend and not sure what. I was in my recliner most of the afternoon and when I got up to go to the bathroom, I could hardly put weight on it and it's still extremely painful this morning. It was really hard to put my work shoe on this morning.

Hey CArol, when you figure out the iPad, let me learn with you too. Got one for my anniversary this past April 19th. Love the Face Time, I get to see and hear Savannah. DH actually said that that one program made it worth the money. Have a safe trip.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

It's 11:56am so I am under the legal time limit! Have been being lazy as can be this morning. Tho I did bestir myself long enough to make another pot of coffee and fried myself a couple of eggs for breakfast. Shade was very happy too as she got to 'clean' up my plate. She loves eggs. ;)

Boy oh boy did we have a wicked storm last night. And I am super happy that there are no more leaks! YAY!!! My son did a really good job sealing the roof. Never ever expected him to show up yesterday with all the materials necessary to do the roof. But I am super grateful that he did. From reading a few of the other postings I wasn't the only one to be experiencing bad storms. Hope everyone else stayed dry and cozy. I am also freaking ecstatic that the A/C is working just fine. It's so nice that I can now come home to a cool, temp comfortable trailer. He didn't bring the smaller one as after he put a new power cord on it it wouldn't work. So he brought down the bigger one and it just barely fit into the hole where the kitchen window use to be.

Not much planned for today or tomorrow as we are broke as usual, don't get paid until the 11th. I hate bi-weekly paydays. ~sigh~ Only thing I really have to do is laundry so that I will have clean uniforms for work. Can't be running around bare azzed for sure I'd scare the bejeebers out of everyone!!!

OK, I'm off to do a little reading and just maybe try and catch up a little. Hope everyone has a great day and PLEASE be careful on the road, I know a lot of you are in motion. Make sure that motion is between the lines and right side up!!

Love to all

Morning from the left coast! Your breakfast sounds good, Liz! I'm in!!
Sun! We are at last getting some sun! Yesterday we finally hit 70 and today is supppose to be even nicer!
Saturday night I had the girls overnight and yesterday we played tennis, took walks and then went to the mall before I drove them home. Funtimes!

Tuesday is my last bowling game for the season. :( I will miss it but also will enjoy not having that day taken up when I want to go camping etc. :D
Wednesday is our bowling banquet. We'll see just how well I did. Not holding my breath!

This coming Mother's Day weekend is horse camp for me, my daughter and 2 GDs! We are all so excited to be doing this together! We'll see how well I do riding and sleeping in a cabin with a group of others. So far the weather is suppose to be perfect. Hope that holds.

Goodness, I bet being in an RV is scary with a severe storm raging. So far I haven't had that experience and not looking forward to it. Glad everyone is safe and in Echo's case, dry. Everyone, keep checking in, hear?

Enjoying the newest blogs from those trekking to Alaska. Nice to have that to look forward to as they share all the happenings. Godspeed ladies!

Thinking of those who recently lost their loved ones and those still going through the journey. Know that you were thought of and being remembered in prayer.

Got up at the crack of dawn this morning and drove all the way to our state capital for a hearing at the Wage and Hour Division of our state government. Long story, but I had to switch contracting agencies last June, and the old one has not paid me for a month's pay plus some vacation time. She admits she owes me the money, but is constantly crying about her company being broke and lawyers taking all her money. They problem is that Ford paid her for my services, but she used it to pay lawyers, so I am supposed to wait. Not fair. Wage and Hour had previously found in my favor, but she was appealing on the basis of not having any money.

Considering she still has a secretary half-time, I think she should answer her own phone and pay me instead. Anyway, settled for a monthly payment until it is paid off. At least payments will be through the state and she will be fined a large amount and property seized if she forfeits. I don't want to keep coming back to Michigan to try to collect my money, so having the state handle it is good, although I still don't think I should have to wait over two years to get all of it paid!! Also, I lost a day's pay driving all the way to Lansing and back, which is also unfair!

Staying home the rest of the day and relaxing, mostly. Will try to get back to packing, which I have really been lazy about lately. Might take a nap to catch up on the lost sleep last night.

I truly was Good Morning when I signed in to the forum but it is now afternoon! Oh Liz that oatmeal sounds good... I had a banana muffin and coffee... I think I will freeze the other two... had one on the road yesterday... way to much sugar and soft stuff...
Wow it sounds like everyone is moving along on the road... Soos glad you are taking it slow and easy and also glad that Dinah is doing so well... What a pain Judy just to get money you already earned... sure is not fair... Lenora I bet you will have a great time at the horse camp! Echo you have had such good things happening for you since I first met you a few years ago... keep thanking the Lord for his blessings... well I have not touched on everyone but do take care and enjoy what ever you are doing...
I have to hem my dress for Mother's Day... I am looking for one of those clips that we used to use to keep our sweaters on when we didn't button them... Any ideas where I can look?
Kathleen

Kathleen - they still make them - check a JoAnn's or even the Wal-Mart sewing/craft section. I had to get one a couple of years ago to hold a Hogwart's cape on for my niece for Halloween.

good afternoon! I couldn't get to the laptop this am cause our son was using it to do some investing yadda yadda... the laptop has the topmost antivirus program so it's used for financial stuff. Anyway.. it gave me and Mary the morning to plant our cucumber starts, put in snap pea and green bean seed, weed spray around the property and do a mini clean-up in the yard. Now I think we'll head out and give the admiral a good washing. She hasn't been washed in months, just rinsed with rain water so a nice soapy wash will be good. Had to wait for a warm afternoon because invariably I get soaked with Mary commanding the hose :D but the admiral will be all shiny clean for the rally this weekend.
