Good Morning... it is similar to being in the abandon camp ground EXCEPT there are trucks of all sizes, strange looking cars with huge window, campers so snotty thy drive in and drive out for fear someone i going to get them... I slept for two hours got hot so turned the generator on then the air and of course the computer! I took so medicine so I will be able to go back to bed and sleep for several hours. I only have 150 miles to go home... can leave at noon if I choose...'
By know you all are aware that I do not have ano goodies or coffee or tea or milk to share... so guess we can pretend... for me I did a long day yesterday 200+ miles and could not find a place to stay where I could have a warm shower... so I take one when I get home (provided pete lit the heater for me.) it will be nice I will sit there for more than 5 minutes letting the water run and run and run...
Wow the Alaska group are pulling things together... I would have to have a much larger unit for all I would want to carry along... hey who knows I may want to stay there. I will have other adventures...
I do have pop tarts if anyone is interested, and boiled eggs, and I can make coffee so come on over and chat tell us all the things you plan to do this Sunday.... also there is an abundance of water!
Take care those on the roads (I hold my hand up!!!!!)

Kathleen, it looks like it's you and me up in the middle of the night. My sister and I are at Toledo Bend Lake. I was so sleepy I was falling asleep at 11:00 so went to bed and was awake at 3:00. The air conditioner is noisy but when it is off it get stuffy. Between the air conditioner and my sister snoring it's hard to sleep.
The fishing wasn't that great, it's been windy. Pat brought a small boat but it's too heavy for us to handle. I'm afraid if we unload it we won't be able to get it back in the truck. I don't want to be out in the wind anyway. If we don't catch anything this morning I think it will be an early day. At least it hasn't rained.

I was awake much of the night too, but only turned on my iPad to check the weather radar, as storms were coming through at Mitch's. Much thunder, lightning and rain, but nothing severe. However, since I turned on the weather radio, alerts kept waking me up for severe thunderstorm warnings, and later flood warnings in NW TN. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask Mitch what county she's in, so probably stayed awake needlessly. It's nice and cool this morning and the birds are singing.
Mitch has a family of Killdeer here....three babies that hatched in a nest right outside her door..so cute!
Kathleen, I'm glad you are so close to home, and hope you make it there safely with no bad weather today. Enjoy that hot shower!

Sorry everyone is having trouble sleeping. I am 2/3 of the way up the state of Georgia now at my big brother's house. Yesterday was a birthday bash for Mike for his 65th. Lots of friends, fishing buddies, and his two kids. He just learned that he will be a grandpa by Christmas - his first - and he is so excited. Poor little Seeker is parked out front and terribly unlevel. I turned off the fridge and donated my ice cubes to the party. Most of the other supplies are in a small fridge in Mike's shop. I knew I would be on that spot when I got here so cleaned out the fridge before I left Folkston. I will do a defrost/clean the fridge day when I leave here in a few days. Nothing much on the to do list today. Tomorrow I'm going fishing with Mike on Lake Lanier.
Hope all you girls at the TN gtg are having fun and have safe travels home.

Good Morning from cloudy and wet South Dakota! We had severe weather with heavy rain yesterday and last night. Luckily we escaped any damage here, but my friend Missy’s greenhouses in Mitchell took a beating from a 15 minute golf ball sized hail and high wind storm so she has shattered Lexan and ripped plastic on all three greenhouses not to mention broken windows and hail damage on two vehicles. Such a downer because the week before Mother’s Day is her biggest week, but she says the most of her stock is fine. I offered to go up and help today but she has plenty of people to work the floor and told me that unless I wanted to crawl on top of the greenhouses and help patch holes she’d rather I wait and come up next weekend. She knows I’m scared to death of heights!
My plans for today were to start cleaning the 5er and get the water system sanitized but the yard is soaked and I’d be tracking more dirt in than I’d take out, plus we’re still in a weather advisory today. So I’ll probably just go out and get the sheets and towels and get those washed. I was so hoping for a nice sunny day so I could open all the windows to air it out and hang things on the clothesline to freshen them up....well that's not going to happen.
Have a wonderful day….I’m off to check out what’s been going on with everyone that hasn’t been on Facebook!

If ya'll have extra rain there, please send to Florida. The humidity is extremely high but the sun is shining and it will hit 93 here again today. What will July look like.. but who cares I will be in Alaska where it will be cool. I have been working on putting the food stuff in the motorhome and tidying up my house. I will probably have more stuff than Mitch does.
Garbage man will love me again this week, I will have a pile for him to pick up. Got the yard mowed last night, so one more job out of the way.
Kathleen, be safe and enjoy that long hot shower when you get home.

Nan - we have had the high humidity but no rain as well. After last summer, I really worry when we get into a high pressure cycle where rain can't fall.
I'm about to finish up this term. I have finished all of my writing, now waiting for the rest of the team to get their stuff done so we can finalize our group paper and powerpoint presentation. Usually I get the paper to finish but this time I'm doing the powerpoint.
I made reservations for the fall TX GTG last night. I was thinking it was the Airshow weekend but it's actually the week after so I can go up for the weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the wonderful ladies here.

It is hot and humid here and we really need rain so any of you all who have too much send it this way!! Boo Hoo wish I were going to AK with the group so I would be out of the summer heat, if it is this hot in early May can't imagine what July will bring.
I didn't even go to church this AM, last Sunday the AC didn't seem to be working right and the topic for the day didn't sound interesting so I'm baking bread and doing a few chores.
Kathleen, don't know what kind of pill you took last night but sounds like sleeping till noon would be a good idea
I took one sip of DH's margarita and could feel my head protesting this morning, I think because it was a really, really bad margarita.
We went out to dinner last night not realizing it was Prom night. What an amazing fashion parade, looks like rhinestones (very gaudy big rhinestones) was the main jewelry choice and are long banana curls back in fashion?

Good morning!!
So glad you checked in Kath, was wondering if you had made it home yet.
I can just feel the excitement of the Alaska bound crew as they are starting or about to hear northward.
Wendy, Nancy and I have been relaxing outside M agic all morning over coffee as I had to keep darting in and out trying to upload photos. Four hours later, there are a few on Photobucket so some chance you might see on forum later today. Signal has been off and on all morning but there were a few times it was pretty good.
have. Learned many lessons on this trip, not the least of which is one should have a blanket and at least a long sleeve shirt along even if it was 90 degrees when leaving home. It had been down right chilly here a couple of nights after sundown.
We will be leaving in the AM, all going different ways. It has been a good, easy going gtg here in Crossville. Sad to see it end but we have the rest of today and weather is great. Rain tomorrow and I dread that as I may head to parts unknown to me. Still and real chicken in my driving but getting better once my hands stop shaking.
Have a great day everyone!

Greetings from Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's past noon here, but since I am without an internet connection where I am staying, I'm at at Pizza Hut having lunch and just wanted to say hi. Raining here too. Hope it lets up a bit so the dogs and I can go for a walk later on.
Out doing a bit of shopping In Marquette and am working my way back to the resort. Will make one more stop and that's it. I think the dogs are tired of riding around town. But I did luck out in that I finally got a cell phone. With my hearing aids, it has taken awhile to find one that will work without buzzing my ear off. Have a small plan through Verizon till I see how it's going to work and if I will need more minutes etc. My phone life is pretty quiet as I don't have very many if any calls on my home phone and I wanted to have a cell phone to keep for emergencies especially since I am driving the open highways up here with very if no traffic around. Also comes in handy at work for inter park communications. I can text and do internet on this phone as well, but am going to have to sit down and look everything over as it's my first cell phone. Yes, I'm coming of age here
Kath, glad to hear you are almost home and by the time your read this, you should be. Liz, I take it you are at Mitch's. Good for afe travels to all of you as you journey out.
As for me, I'm outta here. Time to head back to the resort. Talk to you all went I return home tomorrow.

The Nancy and Wendy are off to take naps. Campground which has been full is beginning to thin out a bit. Very quite now that a large church youth group is gone.
Here's how we spent our Sunday morning at Deer Run, now I'm off to try to post photos in the gtg thread.

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!
I am parked at my first KOA, just over the GA line in a little place called Kingsland. It's a nice park, not expensive (27.50 per night) has a swimming pool and dog park, and a free waffle breakfast tomorrow morning!
We just had a whippersnapper of a thunderstorm come through here, so Molly is curled up under my feet! Dinah is in her hut and seems happy in there. We got off at about 8:15 this morning, and arrived here, going just 55-60 mph, at about 2:00. I made one stop at a great rest area just south of Jacksonville to turn up the vloume on my TomTom so I could hear what on earth he was saying. Both my Sync GPS and Tom Tom took me right to this place and got me through Jacksonville withpout any problems. So far so good.
I hope Kath makes it safely home today, and can soak in a hot shower for hours!
Happy to hear that Sarah is able to have some circulation in her fingers now as she grips her wheel and navigates the roads! Wish I could see that new RV!
It sounds as if many others are finishing up jobs, school, and whatever, and making plans to get on the roads. I will be way more than happy to get home myself. I get terminal stomach upsets each time I make this trip from north to south and back.
And now this rain could stop, and the thunder and lightning. Guess I don't swim today.
I hope to be in the chatroom tonight ---later....

Whew! I managed to get pixs in the gtg thread for Crossville gtg.
Soos I wish you could see Magic too - maybe when you return to FL. She is 23.5 feet long and almost 11 ft tall.
Have a safe trip.

Oh yes it is evening but had to post... I got to Normal and fueled up and dumped my tanks at the friendly Culmans repair place... they let you dump free anytime of day or night... can't beat that... the tanks were not full by far but did not want to leave stuff in them...
my grandson Pete and his girlfriend and my daughter emptied out my motor home! wow that was great... my daughter Margie got us dinner then we tackled taking care of things... believe me I do not need most of what I took! I need Wendy to come help me pack... she is an expert and does not take much...
The laundry is in the dryer and I am ready for my shower...
Drive safe Soos and enjoy the parks... Sarah take it slow and easy... I only go 50 to 55 mph...
Take care everyone
Kathleen
