Morining everyone,

Just a quickie here before I head off to work. Am dressed, but have yet to fix up my lunch. Easy fixing today, Peanut butter sandwich. Last day of work week for me and probably some others on this forum who are working as well. Hada quick breakfast of bacon, eggs and strawberries and ma dressed and ready to go. My friend Brenda is here and is still snoozing away yet. She is going to stay till Monday now instead of Sunday, so we have two full days to bum around. Traverse City is on the agenda tomorrow. We plan to go over to Interlochen State Park, just south of Traverse City as it's her favorite park. She's gone there since she was a kid. But due to tree disease, they have had to removed over 900 trees from the park, so we are going to see what it looks like now.

I was bemoaning about the lack of goodies to have for breakfast around here yesterday morning and when I got to work I found out that our one Ranger brought in 3 different kinds of muffins and some donuts and orange juice for everybody. Now that was a nice treat. So needless to say, we all sat down and have a bit of "breakfast" before starting work.

It rained one and off yesteray morning, but mostly a misty rain or maybe a litle shower, but not enought to really dampen anything good, so anybody who might have wanted this rain, sorry, but it headed east.

Don't know what i will be doing at work today. Yesterday we were cutting, sanding and painting new boards to construct 16 new picnic tables eventually. Also drained the anti freeze and got water going to the south campground, put bleach in the lines and now have to let it sit, get a water sample to the health department to make sure all's well and then we can get the water to the campground running for the season. Today one two of my coworkers are going to put up some new signs at the state forest campground we have to take care of now. I was supposed to have been going too, but I think the boss has other plans now. Shall see.

Well, gotta get that sandwich made, get my gear on and out the door. Have a wonderful day all.

Good Morning Sue and everyone else that follows...
It sounds like you will have a busy day then a fun weekend... enjoy!
I am heading for Huntsville today... will be there in Ditto for a few days visiting Sarah and Magic!
It has been so nice visiting here with Wendy... my kind of visit very laid back... we did take the dogs to a park and they watched the ducks... Wendy usually walks around the lake but I could not do that so we simply sat and watch the moms with their babies in their strollers... my kind of fun for sure... we also so some of the tornado damage the one that came through in January... it is so scary to see what they do and also what they leave...
Have a great day everyone... smile often
Kathleen

Good morning all. This may be a hectic day. Laura (our youngest) and her son, Tommy are planning on spending most of today with us before they hit the road back to Alabama tomorrow. It has sure been nice getting to see them almost everyday. She says as soon as school is out, she and all 3 kids are going to come back for awhile. That will be in about 6 weeks, I think.

Sounds like my coffee maker is about finished, so I am going to go fix me a cup. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Dawn

Enjoy your time with your friend, Sue. Kathleen, sounds like you and Wendy had a nice visit. I hope you are feeling much better as you continue on to Huntsville to visit Sarah. I met Wendy (very nice gal) in AR last October and I'm looking forward to meeting Sarah in TN next week. I'm not sure but are you also coming to the TN gtg, would love to meet you too. Dawn, no doubt you are enjoying having your daughter and her son visiting. I know your family visits are always special, but more so now as reminiscing and memories of their Dad are being stored.
I hope to get my desk mostly cleared today tho I will have to take some work with me. I told my new friends at the Workamping Seminar I wasn't and would never be a workamper tho I think partime it could be fun and rewarding. After learning the vast number of ways to be a WK I guess I am one after all, it's just done inside the RV. Tomorrow I will wash and vacuum Destiny, check out all systems with my fingers crossed, don't want to have to stop at Camping World. Sunday is my Sunday with wee church then I will load up my clothes and necessary items and might go ahead and leave. I want to go through Shiloh, site of Civil War battle and other points of interest I find as my first night at gtg is the 2nd.
Time to refill my mug. My wishes for all to enjoy this day.
Nancy

Nancy, how was your GTG with Linda last week? She mentioned that she was at your place for dinner one night.

Barbie, have you heard from her? We had a nice visit at my house the first night. She showered and I finished up supper (southern), had a couple of glasses of wine and got aquainted. We knew the remainder of week would be busy. The following nights I didn't go back to the site for campfire time, I'm an early to bed person. Being with her made me wish to shave off about 10 years. I hope she will tell everyone about the seminar. It covers so many things about this lifestyle, was well worth the money and my little town is a neat place to visit and live.

Yes, Linda has been in Des Moines visiting with her mom, daughter and grandkids before heading up to Mich. She said she had a great time meeting with you!
