GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

We had a stormy day down here in Orlando yesterday, so the poochies and I just stayed inside and watched the TV, played some Free Cell on my computer. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be rainy days, too (at last!) so that will give us some time to just kick back and do some more healing. I may do some painting of the vanities in the bathrooms to spruce them up a bit before I can afford to replace them. I will probably go to WalMart this morning to get a better tire pressure guage for all my inflatable tires and a few goceries. I feel so very relieved to know I have two more weeks down here to feel better and get my ability to move around under way again!

My son goes for surgery on his umbilical hernia on Monday morning, and I am so very glad to hear that good news. He has been putting that off for years now, and the doc said he is surprised he hasn't had it strangle yet. Melissa finally took it upon herself to schedule his appointments, and it's all set to go. WHEW!

Hope we avoid the severe weather they are saying we could get later....don't like to hear any of that. Happy Saturday to all! Cofee is hot and fresh and hazlenut flavored!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Blech!!! Not turning out to be a very good morning here at all. Have a friend who is very upset with me and says I have hurt her feelings badly. She was sending me a text message every morning between 9 and 9:30am saying "Morning, luv ya". I asked her to stop as it was working as an alarm clock every morning. Kelly sleeps in as she stays up so very late and sometimes it even woke me up if I was sleeping late. She's been sending the text message for almost a month and a half. Well now we are arguing about it and has me in tears and the shakes. She says I was suppose to like it and tell Kelly to deal with it. That I should have realized that it would hurt her feelings. This woman and I are friends in real life and on Facebook and I think she is ready to drop our friendship over this. I have apologized up hill and down. The only place that I get a half way decent signal on my cell is when it's near the window at the end of the dinette. This means that it is about 6 or 8 feet away from where Kelly sleeps. I leave the phone on and in the window so that I can hear it if there is any problem with my son or grandson. She said that either Kelly deals with the text signal, mute the phone or tell David not to bother calling in the morning if there is an emergency. Yep, I got upset. Nice start to a Saturday. ~sigh~ Kelly and I work at getting along in the space we have and yes sometimes it is work!!! :| I'm not gonna tell Kelly to deal with it and deal with getting woke up.

Weather looks to be beautiful today!! Yesterday was really nice too and the park was pretty busy. Today should be a busy one too between the weather and it being a Saturday. I will be run off my feet today. Poor feet!

Nothing much going on around here. Still fighting with my laptop as it does not want to stay connected. Wish I could afford to buy a new one or that the internal wireless thing could be replaced. That would have to be cheaper than a new laptop!!! This USB Wireless adapter stick just is not doing the trick!

Hope everyone has a good day and that you too are having good weather. Please remember to be safe in all that you do today. And have fun too.

Love to all

good morning ladies
gonna be a hot one today  (and tomorrow) but will cool back down over the week.
My whole routine will be off this morning as I have to clean the car out first thing and
get it ready for transport of one lovely little kitty to her new home. Gonna have to use
the girls little dog kennel as I didn't have time to borrow my friends little cat carrier and
I'm not buying one. Need to clean out the litter box entirely, wipe it down and pack up
litter and food too. And don't forget toys and blankie. Her new human is really excited.
Will do my laundry and strip the bed when I get back. Stuff will dry really fast on the
line today.
Have a great day and be safe.

I was going to go to town early before the post office closed but it's raining. I think that errand can wait until Monday. My DH went out with a coat on so I looked and it's 62 degrees this morning. He said the rain started about 4:00 but it didn't wake me up.

Last night I had my hands on a new flea collar for Annie but I can't find it this morning. Guess she hid it. lol They hate new collars and flea drops. I have to catch a couple of the cats first because if they get a whiff of the drops they are gone. I can tell it's spring, the fleas are out. The house cats seldom go farther than the porch but I guess we bring the fleas in on our clothes.

Ava, I hope the new home works out for your kitty. I have been missing a couple of the barn cats for a few days. Sometimes they will be missing for a week and turn up. They need to keep their behinds at the barn but we see some of them way out in the pasture.

Echo, I don't know why your friend doesn't want to compromise on the time she sends her text. Why couldn't she send it at noon when everyone is up. You should sent her one when you get up early for work and see if she likes being woke up. My son had his phone alarm set for 4:30. It wouldn't wake him up but it woke me up so I started waking him up. He decided he could change it.

Good Morning! It’s been a rather bittersweet day so far. A forklift just carried my two son’s tree/clubhouse away…and I’m feeling just a little nostalgic as I watch memories of my kids youth disappear. This wasn’t just “any” tree house. It was 8’x 22’ with a fenced deck, bunk beds and a loft…a real Cadillac. Dennis built it 22 years ago at the farm and moved it to our old house in town. It was placed on a platform about 6’ off the ground. When we built this house the kids refused to move unless the tree house came with…so it moved across town to an area of town known as “fertile valley” because at the time there were 22 kids under the age of 10 on the block! The tree house and our yard was a very busy place, hosted many sleepovers, was headquarters for the neighborhood war games! Some days the “NO GIRLS ALLOWED” sign was on the door…some days it wasn’t. The boys learned to play Threes Are Free and Ship Captain and Crew during a camping trip, Sean came home and proceeded to teach the neighborhood kids how to shoot dice and bilked them out of their allowance in the tree house! After everyone on the block was frantically searching for four year old Adam for over an hour, he was found sound asleep up in the loft. If the walls could talk I’m sure all the parents in the neighborhood would find out many things about their children!

But the little boys are now 24 and 26 and the tree house has set empty for many years. So it left to make new memories for 8 year old Reece, the daughter of the single dad who carpools with me. It’s now going to be called a play house. So my eyes are misty…but it could be because of the memory of the grin on Reece’s face and knowing how much fun she will have. I can’t wait to hear the tales of Ed having to sleep in the loft! DH had to spend many nights up there before the boys were brave enough to stay in it alone!

Love the history of that tree house. Sure can understand the mixed feelings as it left. But how wonderful that it can bring joy to more children, yet.

Echo, it sounds like your friend is not very understanding and being very selfish. It was a nice gesture to send you a text but to not be flexible or understanding about the timing is very rude on her part. And if she is willing to let something like that wreck your friendship without being willing to compromise at all, then she isn't that much of a friend anyways. Just sayin'...

Ava, sorry to hear you are losing your kitty, but sounds like she is going to a good home. If I didn't have Lola, I would have driven out to pick her up myself!

I have the day off but am being lazy. The morning haze has burned off and the sun is out and going to be in the mid 70's today. Should do something outdoors today.

Our shop manager is gone now and we have a new manager. Will see how she works out. She has no management experience and has never worked for GC's before. She is very mild-mannered so not sure how that will work with our very intimidating GM. Our other manager was able to stand up to him. No word yet on if I will be going back to the old shop...

Will have to put off thoughts of moving until July now. Too much going on in May and with taking off a whole week at work without pay, I will be very short of money for June. Nothing affordable out there now anyways... :(

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Morning All

So far my morning is VERY good. Had a hot water heater issue last week and my mobile man brought it back today and installed it so I now have hot water again. Spent $200 and never left the MH. He did very good work. My total for the removal (which was a bit**), repair, and reinstall was $350 I am a happy camper.

Weather has been rainy all week and I was working otherwise could have had it installed earlier in the week but this worked out just dandy. While he was here and we were sitting chatting (me writing the check lol) the RV across the way had his water heater cover off. So Earl and I wandered over there to see if he could help. The 5er was brand new and they were trying to check out the gas water heater. They did not know they had a switch inside to turn it on. Easy fix = education. They had an older trailer before and had to light it outside so they were very happy to be shown the switch. Nice older couple.

Weather is great right now, sunny and supposed to be 75 I'm enjoying this. Going to town for a few groceries and a Mocha, then home to sit and do NOTHING.

Echo: What BarbaraRose said are my thoughts as well. Very inconsiderate and selfish.

Echo - I agree the "friend" sounds like she's being childish and selfish and because you won't comply with her wishes, she's trying to punish you. Doesn't sound like much of a friend if everything has to be her way.

It was a gorgeous weekend but I was inside all weekend. I was working the local MS 150 bike ride and had to be up at 4:30 both mornings. I'm wiped out tonight. I wasn't doing anything physical but I was working the medical network and that can be mentally challenging and emotionally draining.

I also spent the evening Friday with my friend Beth and was shocked at how she seems to have gone downhill a little in the last 2 weeks. I know the chemo is going to take it out of her but her back was killing her and that scares me since the cancer has metastasized into her spine.

Well, off to bed.
