Morning all,
Just stopping in to say hi and let you know that the coffee bar is open for the morning. So stop by and tell us what you have been up to or plan to do.
As fo me, I'm tired. We've been raking and blowing leaves to get our South Campground cleaned up and yesterday we worked non stop all day except for lunch. My co workers and I would have stopped for a morning break but the boss was workng with us on the tractor, picking up leaves we blew onto the road and loading them into the little trailer we have, so we kept dumping and blowing and.... Then in the afternoon, the District supervisor was in the park, so we didn't stop then either. Whenever we have "visitors" from the Department in the park, we always make sure we are busy doing something and taking a break at HQ is not one of them. It's just the things you do. Needless to say, by day's end, we were dragging. But we got er done. Actually, that's kind of normal for this time of year. So little time, so much work to do and so few bodies to do it. Once we get things under control, then we can relax a bit. Despite the hard work, it's a good feeling when we accomplish what we intended to do and things start falling into place. We have got a lot done this week. And weather plays a big factor in it too. Iwas running the hand blower all day, so my arms are a bit sore from that and funny part was, due to the campground being all dirt sites for the most part, and it being so dry, I was working in a mini dust storm it seems like. You know, the kind where on those western movies, the wind is always blowing the durst through the towns streets or the cowboys are wearing bandannas to keep the dirt out of their faces.
Now that the weekend is here and I have two days off, I've got things to catch up on here. Am going to do a pick up in the house (run vac, quick dust, clean bathroom type thing) and then need to go grocery shopping. Debating about cutting the grass or not. Will see what happens later. Tomorrow is supposed to rain, so I can relax and just putter around if I want. Have some special doing at our church late tomorrow afternoon, so will be going to that. Two of our former pastors have been maned Msgr's. by the Pope so I will be going up for that.
So best be getting along here. No rest for the weary as they say. Besides, it's better to keep sore muscles moving less they get stiff . Have a wonderful day all. Those of you on the road, keep safe, hope those at the GTG are having fun and any of you in the pathe of this next round of severe weather coming across the middle section of the country, keip alert.
