Morning all,

Just stopping in to say hi and let you know that the coffee bar is open for the morning. So stop by and tell us what you have been up to or plan to do.

As fo me, I'm tired. We've been raking and blowing leaves to get our South Campground cleaned up and yesterday we worked non stop all day except for lunch. My co workers and I would have stopped for a morning break but the boss was workng with us on the tractor, picking up leaves we blew onto the road and loading them into the little trailer we have, so we kept dumping and blowing and.... Then in the afternoon, the District supervisor was in the park, so we didn't stop then either. Whenever we have "visitors" from the Department in the park, we always make sure we are busy doing something and taking a break at HQ is not one of them. It's just the things you do. Needless to say, by day's end, we were dragging. But we got er done. Actually, that's kind of normal for this time of year. So little time, so much work to do and so few bodies to do it. Once we get things under control, then we can relax a bit. Despite the hard work, it's a good feeling when we accomplish what we intended to do and things start falling into place. We have got a lot done this week. And weather plays a big factor in it too. Iwas running the hand blower all day, so my arms are a bit sore from that and funny part was, due to the campground being all dirt sites for the most part, and it being so dry, I was working in a mini dust storm it seems like. You know, the kind where on those western movies, the wind is always blowing the durst through the towns streets or the cowboys are wearing bandannas to keep the dirt out of their faces.

Now that the weekend is here and I have two days off, I've got things to catch up on here. Am going to do a pick up in the house (run vac, quick dust, clean bathroom type thing) and then need to go grocery shopping. Debating about cutting the grass or not. Will see what happens later. Tomorrow is supposed to rain, so I can relax and just putter around if I want. Have some special doing at our church late tomorrow afternoon, so will be going to that. Two of our former pastors have been maned Msgr's. by the Pope so I will be going up for that.

So best be getting along here. No rest for the weary as they say. Besides, it's better to keep sore muscles moving less they get stiff  . Have a wonderful day all. Those of you on the road, keep safe, hope those at the GTG are having fun and any of you in the pathe of this next round of severe weather coming across the middle section of the country, keip alert.

What a week and getting sand blasted too! Yes, you did wear a mask? After reading about your week and then your Sat plans I'm pulling for rain on your turf on Sunday. Mine could use some rain too :? ;)

Good morning! Windy morning here, kind of like Sue's hand blower only mother nature is using hers. The dust isn't up but the sky has that 'interesting' look it gets when a storm is brewing. We are in the RED on the weather map for potential severe activity today. We have a cellar so I've got to send Steve to double check for scorpions in case we have to use it.

The gtg in Stonewall looks fun from the pictures that were posted. Camping with friends and food! We are excited about getting to go on our first campout for the year. Heading to Kerrville on Thursday. I want to go over to Fredericksburg and visit the wildflower farm. Had some friends who went there recently and said it gorgeous right now. plus that German bakery in Fredericksburg has those soft pretzels that are making my mouth water to think of them.

I'm also really looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing the pictures of the ladies who are going to Alaska! We are already planning a trip and been looking into going up in a group with RV Alaska.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Morning
Looks like we have great weather for the weekend but chance of severe weather first of the week. Our pollen counts are still extreme so hoping some rain will help clear the air some.

After two wonderful trips to FL and a bout with being very sick after returning home I got an unusually late start on my taxes. To my dismay found so many problems with my financial records for 2011 that I finally trashed them and started over. Reentering a whole year's worth of data is not a fun task. It did give me a chance to remember lots of good times as I sorted thru what I'd spent money on last year - much of that was with several of the ladies on the forum.

Now I've got to try to get back into some sort of normal routine and take care of some health issues. My days and nights are mixed up and physical activity near zero - the WiiFit is calling.

Was very disappointed by call from the RV Safety people who do the annual classes in Bowling Green, KY. They had to cancel the conference for the first time ever due to a large number of cancellations by those who had signed up. I was so looking forward to going and learning more the mechanical, maintenance, and operation issues of my RV plus of course the driving classes. Except for merging into traffic and backing up, I did get reasonably comfortable with driving Magic while getting her home. However, I know so little about any of the systems and what I need to do to care for them that it is down right scary.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, safe day.

good morning ladies, been up for awhile and started in on my cleaning. The washer is doing overtime today as I'm getting
all my winter stuff washed up and packed away. Extra blankets and extra winter clothes, although its cool today I'll still have
a few pairs of long pants and one light jacket available to me. I also noticed my office chair is looking a little nasty in the
crevices so its getting a good scrubdown too.
The girls are locked up in their kennel for the majority of the day as they get so upset when I run noisy things like the
vacuam and the steamer. Not to mention fighting with them to get off the bed when I strip it down
Other than all that, nothing else is happening in my world.
Have a great day and everybody be safe.

I wish you could have come up to my hometown to attend the Workampers Seminar. They touch on just about every topic to help you in your RV'ing life whether you are a full or parttimer. It will happen again next fall. Why don't you and Wendy think about this?
Actually I think they are still taking people for this one. It starts Tues 17th-19th. Linda (biker chic) is coming. I am expecting to hear from her tomorrow or Monday.

Sue, just reading about all that blowing dirt and leaves has made my allergies kick up!! How do you survive breathing the dust?

Bluepinecones, I also am interested in a driving school somewhere in the midwest before July 1. If anyone hears of one, I would be willing to drive a few hundred miles, although I think Arkansas is too far!

Got a birthday card for my grandson, a haircut, dropped off the birthday kid's package at the post office, and am now home after a shower and washing all the clothes I wore for my haircut. All those little hairs just drive me crazy and make me itch for hours, so I always have to plan a shower afterwards.

I have about 500 slides left to drop off for scanning tomorrow. I have been having them done in batches since last September. It is expensive, but they record my life for 20 years and my children from babies to age 10 and 13. Legally they belong to my ex, and I need to return them to them, and this will be my last opportunity to save a copy for myself and my kids. So far, I have had about 3,000 scanned. Whew.

Other than packing, my only other activity today will be dinner with an old (kindergarten+) friend.
