Wednesday Morning

Good Morning everyone,
Chilly morning here at the 45th. Hard to believe it's Wednesday already. Two more day and I will have my first week of work done already, and the nice thing is, we started in the middle of a pay period, so will be filing the first time slip this week. Then we will be getting our first pay check in two weeks instead of having to wait a month
Mom Nature really threw it as us yesterday. Cold, windy and snowy. Winds were blowing across the lake all of 30+ mph and we also had sme snow flurries around in the morning. I don't think the temp got out of the mid 30's all day and with that wind, brrrrrr. I worked outside all morning doing odds and ends stuff including the reinstallation of the solar lights around our one bathroom buildings. They are not your little stick in the ground type, but bigger lights mounted on posts about waist high. Almost froze my little pinkies off doing that job. Didn't wear gloves too much cause I had to reconnect a little wire to reactive them, as I put them in and kind of delicate for gloves.
After lunch i had planned to work with one of our rangers moving some benches and then maybe doing some leaf blowing, but my boss needed somebody to go with him to another state park to pick up a dump truck, so I went along. It is a 94 mile round trip over there, so we were gone most of the afternoon. Pretty drive too. It took two of us cause I drove our parks truck back, while he drove the dump truck. Had a nice little tour of that parks new mini cabin furnishings while we were over there. We are also redoing ours as well, so we got to see how it could look. Right after we got back, we had a snow squall that lasted at least a half hour and was really coming down. Didn't amount to anything though.
Poor four footed ones at the house here, didn't even get a walk yesterday. Was just too wet and cold as the snow showers/rain mix stuff just kept up on and off. Made a nice bowl of chili and some corn muffins for supper last night. Nice day for that.
So who knows what we will get into today. It's supposed to be a nicer day today, so I'm sure we will be back out in the park, getting the grounds work going again.
Hope everybody had a nice day yesterday. Soos is making her last few weeks plans to head back north to her mountain home, Carol, Shirl and others will be heading to SC pretty soon. Others are readying for other GTG's as well as AK. So people are on the move. Getting exciting reading about all the plans etc.
So, time to go read some other posts. Up early this mornig, so have time to kind of play catch up here. Have a wonderful day all.
