Morning all,
Well, the day has arrived. Back to work at the park. Got a busy week ahead, for that matter a busy couple of months, getting things ready for Memorial Day weeked, the official start of the camping season. Not that there aren't camps in the park before that, it's just that, as is the case all over, Memorial Day kicks off the summer season for everything it seems.
Mom Nature is giving us a chilly day to start this morning. Windy and about 28 degrees at the moment. Supposed to be sunny and around 50 later on, but with the strong NW winds, the temp will feel cooler. But we will be physically working anyway, so I will probably be shedding some of the layers I am wearing this morning.
Hope you all had a nice Easter Sunday yesterday no matter what you were doing. I just went to Sunday Mass and then did a little shopping afterwards since the stores were open, had a quick bite of lunch and then greased the lawn tractors different parts that needed to be done after sitting all winter. Other than the fact it could use a blade sharpening, it's all set to go. With the colder nights we have had lately, the grass is growing more slowly, no am not going to mow just yet.
I'm guessing I might have a potty accident or two when I get home as the "girls" are going to have to make some adjustments in their schedule as well. But maybe not. They have already been out and took care of business this morning, so maybe they will be okay. I'm planning to look for a patio dog door that fits into my sliding glass door, so they can come and go when I am at work. I used to run home and let them out, but half the time they didn't want to bother, so it's a waste of time when I only have a half hour for llunch as is..
Well, going to take care of a little business on here and then finish getting dressed for work. Don't want to put on my other layers till I am ready to head out the door. Have a nice day all.

Sue, by the time you read your first day will be over...hope it was a good one. I wanted to tell you about my sliding patio doggy door. It is wonderful. I know you aren't house breaking but I found this door to be the trick for my last two puppies. My newest puppy, Molly, had only 2 accidents. She took to the door immediately. The only drawback is the smaller area for humans to pass through. I have some rather 'fluffy' people in my family that kind of squeeze through but they just laughed about it, thank goodness. My son installed mine but you are much handier than I so I'm sure you can install one.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!
It's pretty chilly here too. Sitting and swilling coffee trying to wake up and psych myself up into the mood for work. Blech...... Am so looking forward to Tues and Wed. 2 whole days off in a row.
Haven't checked what the weather will be for today but I'm hoping for the best. The last 2 days have been beautiful, chilly at night but in the 70's during the day.
Gonna go read and catch up on ya'll. Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe!!
Love to all

Back to work for me as well after being off most of last week camping - what a rude awakening when the alarm went off this morning. I have a week's worth of e-mail to get through at work so I guess I had better get at it.
Hope everyone has a great day.

I'm glad I didn't have to get up early and go somewhere this morning. After cleaning house, cooking dinner and fishing all afternoon yesterday I was pooped. We could have had fish for dinner today but I wasn't about to start cleaning fish so the fish lucked out.
Need to finish loading the camper so I can leave tomorrow for my sister's. We are leaving Wednesday to head to Texas.
My son wants us to go to Florida in June to pick up his son. That will be a big trip. I have driven from here to Orlando 3 times and it's long and boring if you are in a hurry. I hope we can do some things on the way back.
We thought about putting in a doggie door years ago but we have too many varmints around here. I can just imagine a skunk getting in. I accidentally let a muskrat in one time. The dog had it cornered by the door and I opened the door to see what she was barking at. A video of that would have been a winner on America's Funniest Videos.

It is a loud morning here, neighbors behind and across the street are having concrete work done. They started with a jackhammer breaking up their old concrete at 7:00 AM. I thought there were laws about starting construction at that hour of the day but maybe not. I bet their next door neighbors leaped from their beds wondering what was happening, most people in this area are retired.
Another beautiful cool, sunny morning I'm loving this temperature but supposed to get down near freezing at night in a couple of days, that will be a shock.
Sorry you have to go to work Echo, I can imagine how hard it must be after being off all winter. Maybe they will transfer you to an easier job, that kitchen will be an inferno this summer.
Martha wouldn't it be cheaper to fly your grandson from Fl and would certainly be less hassle for you. Wish I could be there when you fry those fish! I bet you look now before opening your door when the dogs are barking! I've never seen a sliding patio doggy door. I think we have way too many chipmunks and squirrels around here to have a doggy door.
Sue, hope your first day back is not too cold and difficult.

Morning!
Hope everyones Easter was as nice as mine. Saturday night I went to church with my DD/family. It was nice.
Yesterday @ 6:23AM I got a text from my 12 yr old GD wishing me a Happy Easter and wanting to know when I was coming over!
I just rolled over and slept another hour or so!
She then calls me at 8:30 so after a quick shower, I packed my breakfast and drove up the interstate.
The weather was the nicest so far this year, in the 60s with lots of sun. Later, after playing a few board games and eating a wonderful meal, I took a nice walk with my 2 GDs. Of course they wanted to go further up the hill (they live pretty high up as my ears always pop while driving to their house), to pet some horses they saw in a pasture. The one horse did come over to the fence to greet us so my GD was ecstatic! She is so in love with horses!
Needless to say, after all the fresh air, I sleep like a log! Suppose to be another nice day today so I'm gonna take Choco for a walk at the state park.
Sue, hope your first of the season workday was good and the dogs didn't leave any surprises for you.
Echo, get some rest, put those feet up!
Hugs to all those especially needing them today.

BJ, it's a long story about the grandson. He and his mother are suppose to meet us at her sister's in Florida. He is only 9 and has never flown by himself. The mother wouldn't let him come last summer and my son now has a court order, if that will do any good. The trip is more to be able to spend time with my grandson. We are going to Lego Land. Yea

Good afternoon all. I'm back in Ocala after a weekend visit with my brother & sil in Venice area. Decided to stay at Silver River State Park as they had space this week. I have an appointment this afternoon to get my hearing aids cleaned and checked....want to make sure they will work fine all summer. Then tomorrow I have a service appt. for the RV that will take all day....installing an inverter & solar panel. Nothing scheduled after that, so hope the weather stays nice and I can take the kayak out on the river Wed. or Thurs.
Hope everyone has a beautiful day like it is here.

Liz, if you get the kayak out at Silver River.. don't forget the geocache there only attainable by water. I will be bringing the van to Silver River next month - another cross stitch retreat. Sort of like our gtg's.. but they call them "retreats". Another difference, less food.
Congrats on your new toys for your new rv.

GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL!
I saw some 50% off bunnies and peeps and stuffed creatures all over Winn Dixie this morning when I stopped in after getting my truck serviced for the trip home....and I passed them all up! It wasn't easy! Afer the disaster with my refrigerator back home, (off for at least a month due to tripped breaker when power pole was hit by lightning and burned down out on our paved road----freezer had been stuffed full of deer meat by Joe and Mandy) my daughter told me about cleaning out all my cupboards and finding TONS of old Easter candy, bunnies, Christmas candy, Halloween candy, Valentine's Day candies and hearts, and in her words, "at least a gazillion candy canes!" Sigh....after all these years of buying pretty and yummy stuff for the kids when they were little, then hiding them all so they wouldn't get fat or sick, she uncovered my larder and took them all to the dump! She said she knew she would have to do it right then or I would just find excuses to keep "just this cute little bunny" or "this neat little Christmas candy Santa set" or whatever! And she is so right! She did have the decency to save my marzipan Thanksgiving treasures I made and froze in the downstairs freezer, however, as she knew how dear those are to me. Why? I have no idea, but I love to look at them!
Thank heavens they found this mess before I got back there and walked in on a house that smelled like dead bodies by the dozens!
Smoke is in the air today from some brush fires in the distance----the entire state is tinder dry and needs rain desperately. It's perfect right here, however, so the dogs will get in some more free-running time before we head back to the neighborhood at home to wrap things up there.
Hope all of you are having a fun day wherever you may be. I wish I could find the money to head up to Silver Springs for a couple of nights and visit Liz---it would be a good trial run for my trek northward! Alas, all my money has to go into my gas fund so I can actually get back home. Sorry to have missed you, Liz, all summer down here!
Later........
