Easter Sunday

Happy Easter everyone.
Easter is arriving under partly cloudy skies this morning and I might even get a glimpse of Mr. Sun, which is somethng I always look forward to on Easter morning. There is something about watching that Easter sunrise bring the start of the Resurection and New Lfe. It just seems more special on Easter. We are supposed to have some rain showers today, at least until later on, but at the moment there is a break in the clouds here. I will be heading for Easter Sunday mass in a bit here and then no plans for the rest of the day. Will be getting my stuff ready to head out the door for work tomorrow morning and from looks of forecast, will need my warmer duds for a couple of days or so. Cloudy, cool and damp is on the forecast with even the possibility of flurries on Tuesday Never fails, seems like mother just delights in tormenting us when we start back to work in the spring. And unless it's a torrential downpour, we will be out there. It's the nature of the job. And once the park is in operation and busy, even the torrential downpour doesn't mean anything as I and my co workers drive a covered John Deere Gator, so we are out there regardless. Only when a thunderstorm or bad weather comes in, do we head for HQ unless we are in one of the buldings.
I took the dogs and the Flex out for a ride yesterday. Went up to Mackinaw City which is about 70 miles north. Had a late breakfast, we walked a beautiful park at the foot of the bridge and then wandered back down the freeway to Indian River and stoppped at Burt Lake State park where we walked around a bit and Tessa went for a wade at the dog beach. Was a glorious day with plenty of blue sky and sunshine. The Flex was averaging between 22-24 mpg on the freeway. And I was changing speeds about every 10 miles or so as it's still in break in. Way better than my truck was getting. It drives so well, holds the road beautifully and is just a great all around vehicle. With being able to reconfigure the seats in many differeent ways, I have lots of versatality for carrying things or what not., Not sure just which way the dogs like it though as I tried a couple of different ways and they were looking at me like where is our truck. They might just prefer laying on the back seat with the seat back up rather than having the whole back flat where they can sprawl out. I need to manufacture a ramp for them to walk up to get in through the lift gate, as it's too big of a jump even with the box we use for getting into the back seat. All in good time. A number of you are asking for a picture of my new wheels. Soon as I get some new batteries for my camera, I will do so.
Well, better be off and getting dressed here. I'm sure mass will be crowded this morning and I need to stop and pick up my Sunday paper. This might be the last Morning Coffee I post to for awhile unless I have a few minutes before I leave for work, so if I disappear you will know where I am. Just look me up at Otsego
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter Sunday.
