Easter Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Easter Sunday

Image Happy Easter everyone.

Easter is arriving under partly cloudy skies this morning and I might even get a glimpse of Mr. Sun, which is somethng I always look forward to on Easter morning. There is something about watching that Easter sunrise bring the start of the Resurection and New Lfe. It just seems more special on Easter. We are supposed to have some rain showers today, at least until later on, but at the moment there is a break in the clouds here. I will be heading for Easter Sunday mass in a bit here and then no plans for the rest of the day. Will be getting my stuff ready to head out the door for work tomorrow morning and from looks of forecast, will need my warmer duds for a couple of days or so. Cloudy, cool and damp is on the forecast with even the possibility of flurries on Tuesday  Never fails, seems like mother just delights in tormenting us when we start back to work in the spring. And unless it's a torrential downpour, we will be out there. It's the nature of the job. And once the park is in operation and busy, even the torrential downpour doesn't mean anything as I and my co workers drive a covered John Deere Gator, so we are out there regardless. Only when a thunderstorm or bad weather comes in, do we head for HQ unless we are in one of the buldings.

I took the dogs and the Flex out for a ride yesterday. Went up to Mackinaw City which is about 70 miles north. Had a late breakfast, we walked a beautiful park at the foot of the bridge and then wandered back down the freeway to Indian River and stoppped at Burt Lake State park where we walked around a bit and Tessa went for a wade at the dog beach. Was a glorious day with plenty of blue sky and sunshine. The Flex was averaging between 22-24 mpg on the freeway. And I was changing speeds about every 10 miles or so as it's still in break in. Way better than my truck was getting. It drives so well, holds the road beautifully and is just a great all around vehicle. With being able to reconfigure the seats in many differeent ways, I have lots of versatality for carrying things or what not., Not sure just which way the dogs like it though as I tried a couple of different ways and they were looking at me like where is our truck. They might just prefer laying on the back seat with the seat back up rather than having the whole back flat where they can sprawl out. I need to manufacture a ramp for them to walk up to get in through the lift gate, as it's too big of a jump even with the box we use for getting into the back seat. All in good time. A number of you are asking for a picture of my new wheels. Soon as I get some new batteries for my camera, I will do so.

Well, better be off and getting dressed here. I'm sure mass will be crowded this morning and I need to stop and pick up my Sunday paper. This might be the last Morning Coffee I post to for awhile unless I have a few minutes before I leave for work, so if I disappear you will know where I am. Just look me up at Otsego :)

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Good morning ladies and Happy Easter to you all
doing nothing today other than reflecting on what Easter is all about. As a child we spent many Easter morning at
Hollywood Bowls Easter Sunrise Service of which my sister and I helped with getting all the lilies set up for the
stage. My grandmother would sign us up and on Saturday we'd go down with her and do the lilies. Its one of my
memories that I cherish with my grandmother.
Ya'll have a blessed day.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Ahhhhhhh! A day off and I'm gonna enjoy it to the max. Sitting here swilling coffee and being a lazy bum this morning. Just maybe I might work up a little energy to 'clean' up my yard or maybe clean out the truck but that's a big maybe. Kelly is out the door to go to 'work' so it's just me, Shade and the laptop.

Need to figure out what I want for supper as long as I'm gonna be home to cook it! Kelly did us up some burgers last night and they were really tasty. Just might do up some pork chops I have in the freezer. Fry them up with onions?? Yum that sounds good! ;)

Think I will have Kelly get after my back later on as it is really bothering me. Carrying the huge cooking sheets to put away and the stacks of plates out to resupply the cabinet for the buffet is telling. If I had the money I would go to Massage Envy. I just may have to break down and go to a Chiropractor? But I sure don't want to fork out the money for that!!!

OK got some other stuff to do so will quit flapping my fingers here. Hope everyone has a super day and remembers not to make themselves sick on chocolate. Be safe in all that you do.

Love to all

Quiet Easter here with wonderfully sunny weather. Need to get those family thing boxes down from the shelves and go through them so they are ready for long-term storage. Did laundry and a tiny bit of cleaning yesterday.

Thinking about when I will move out of here and how I will handle my toe surgery on June 11. Work ends May 31, so I could move out and go down to Ohio--stay with my son or camp around in RV. I think I want to spend that first week of June driving up north in Michigan to say good-bye to some cousins, my niece, and maybe some of my favorite spots. Sue has me thinking I should go up to Mackinaw and visit that park underneath the bridge. Maybe spend a night at Wilderness State Park nearby. Not brave enough to actually drive over it with this rig unless I have to.

Have a good day, everyone.

GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY EASTER TO ANYBODY WHO IS A CHRISTIAN AND HAPPY PASSOVER TO THOSE WHO AREN'T AND JUST HAPPY DAY TO ALL NO MATTER WHAT YOU BELIEVE OR DON'T BELIEVE!

Did I get everyone covered? Heaven knows I don't wish to be one-sided. By the way, I have no clue what I am or what I believe, so Happy Bunny Day to me, too!

The sun is bright after two nights of a beautiful full and almost-full moon. A nice breeze is blowing and the temperature is about 79 to 80----just a perfect day for a holiday. The eggs are boiled and cooling, and we will dye them today. Then I will make some egg salad for the rest of the week's lunches.

I checked the water level in my trailer batteries this morning, and they are good to go. For some unknown reason, my batteries have never needed any distilled H2O unless they are getting old. I charged the zapper training collar to capacity, and will now have to find a way to test Dinah to see if she can learn that the sound means come back or get zapped. She has been so good for the two days we have been here, coming immediately to my trilling call, that it will be hard to find a reason to test it! I will check the air poundage in my trailer tires the next time I came back here. In the meatnime, I need to look under the covers to be sure the quality of the rubber is still good. Tomorrow I will call the St. Cloud Ford dealer to see if I can get the regular maintenance for my truck.

I will now go online to Mapquest and try to plan out which gas stations I will be filling up in, which campgrounds I will staying in, how many days it will take me to get home, if the weather cooperates, that is, and stuff like that. This trip each way will always be a stressful time for me, I guess. Last spring it was actually fun when Mandy traveled with me. This spring I am having trouble sleeping thinking about it.

Nice to hear about your car, Sue! I love the smell of a brand new vehicle! Have fun!

Here's hoping you all have a great day no matter where you are!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Went to the annual play at church yesterday with friends. Everyone enjoyed the program, which was outstanding. The church service this morning was held at the Amway Center this year so the entire church could attend one service together instead of several services spread throughout the day. The music was beautiful and my sister enjoyed playing in the orchestra. We'll be going to dinner later this evening. What a lovely Easter weekend!
