Good Mornng,
Woke up this mornng to about 28 degrees outside and 62 in my house Now that shouldn't be a big deal, except that my thermostat is set for 70. Soooooo. basically I have no heat in the main part of my house. BRRRRRRRR. I have hot water baseboard heat and that tells me that my zone valve has had it. Will be placing a call to my heating folks in a bit here. I'm not in desperate shape as I have my gas stove going in my living room where I am sitting right now. Was planning on taking a nice warm bath this morning, NOT! Freezing in the bathrooms. Not going to gym class either since I will have to wait for the repair guy. At least it's today and not next week when I have to run off to work. Great start to my Wednesday.
Am watching the Weather Channel and seeing all the destruction caused by the tornados and severe storms. I hope that none of our forum sisters were near that messs. Please check in and let us know you are okay. I have been in few tornado storms in my lifetime, but fortunately the funnel cloud did not touch down in the area where I wa., One did pass over us on the expressway once when we were on our way up north here to our then vacation home. We parked under an overpass cause of the hail, not knowing that it was a tornado that had touched down and picked back up, went over the expressway and a bit later touched back down and destroyed a large area in a small town north of where I lived at the time. We later drove through the area and witnessed the destruction first hand and also saw the pictures that a friend who worked for a gas company had taken as he was one of the first to go in to shut down the gas lines. But I don't think I have ever seen anything so frightening as watching those semi truck trailers being picked up and tossed about like toys in that Dallas area tornado. Even the Weathre Channel folks said the same thing.
So I don't know where my day is going to lead today. Need to make my heating repair call shortly and then get dressed and wait. It's a beautiful morning out there with bright sunshine, but frost covering the ground. I ordered a new cell phone from TracPhone and need to activate it, so will do that while I am waiting. I have other things to putter with as well.
Watching some of these warning ads on TV about the side effects of some of the more popular medicines, which of course are put on my law firms looking for business suing the pharmaceutical companies, makes me wonder why, if those medications cause so many problems, that the FDA even issues an okay for us to use them. In many cases we need them for a certain health condition, but at the same time we are slowiy killing outselves as well
Well, enough of this garbage. Must get moving around here. Those of you in the path of these storms, keep an eye on the sky, an ear to the weather radio. Those who might be on the road, do the same if you are in those areas.
