Last Monday of the 2nd Month

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Monday of the 2nd Month

Postby Colliemom » Mon Feb 27, 2012 8:12 am

Good Morning everybody,

Hope you all had a great weekend, a good nights sleep and are ready to tackle another week. A quick bit of breaksfast in the tummy this morning and I am going to be off to town in a short. Have some business to take care of before going to gym class.

Have been enjoying reading all the threads the past couple of days. Carolinagal has returned, Sarah has her new rig and having a mini GTG at Wandering Oaks with Irmi, Steve and Kathleen, some of the others are starting to head toward the TX GTG, others are making plans for other trips, looking at new rigs etc. Spring indeed is coming as we are all starting to think summer and laying out plans.

We look to be in the path of a significant winter storm starting late tomorrow. Hoping they are wrong, but we are due for a wallop before winter is over in these parts.

I have my template made up for the wording on my next sign, so will probably be working on that later today. Spent yesterday afternoon over to my cousin's playing Quiggler with her and two others. We had fun and a lot of laughs.

Guess it's time to quit this jabbering about much of nothing here and get my act together. You all have a wonderfual day.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

Sure am happy to hear that Alice's method of "fixing" her refrigerator was to turn it off for a bit! Glad to know she and Pete made it safely to their first rest stop. I hope today goes along smoothly for all those of you who are on the roads anywhere.

I would love to be with Birdie and Liz for a few days on the coast camping! Take some of your wonderful pics, girls!

It's warmer here today, but still overcast with a chance of rain showers, much to the dismay of those waiting for the Daytona races to begin! The temperature back at my northern home is standing at 8 above zero, so I am very satisfied where I am for now!

Today I will get a few groceries, via my bike at Publix, search for a Winn Dixie somewhere in this area so I can build up my gas discount credits again, take the poochies for a walk to Shingle Creek, and perhaps go to the Spa/Jacuzzi at the club if it doesn't rain or thunder and lightning. Tough choices and tasks I have today eh?? Oh yeah----I need to vacuum also.

Happy Monday to us all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning! It's a drizzly gray day, so you ladies heading this way, please be careful. It's supposed to be a chance of rain through Wednesday and then again on Friday - blech!

In less than 2 weeks, 12 more sleeps to be exact, I will be on the road - heading for Caprock Canyon SP - yay!

Today is my youngest sister's birthday. She would have been 46, but her life was cut short 8 years ago by breast cancer. Have you had your boobies squished recently?

Morning sistahs!! Gray ugly day here, too, which is quite a shock after our last few days of 80+ temps. Supposed to rain and snow level down to 2500 ft. Not going to enjoy this day at all as I head over to the dentist to get the broken tooth fixed and get a cleaning. Nothing else on the program for the day, think that will probably do me in for the rest of the day. I would rather go thru natural childbirth again than go to the dentist. Thank goodness for that wonderful gas they have! I can come home and smell the rubber sink mats for a week after and get high again... I have super sensitive teeth so it's just miserable to have them worked on.

Spent the w/e at the BF's, he took me to Stuart Andersons for a belated BD dinner and stuffed myself like a little piggy. He installed the receiver hitch on the new jeep....you know, the one I took off the jeep I couldn't keep. He took it off before I turned it in and picked up the new one. Now I can put a bike carrier on it.

Have a referrel to get the mammy's grammed, (along with the rest of the referrels) hope the rest of you ladies follow suit! Travel safe wherever you're headed and have fun if you're parked!

Mornin' gals,

Sue, we also are in the path of a Winter storm scheduled to blow in tomorrow evening. If we do get all the sleet they are predicting, I won't be surprised if we have to crank up that beast of a generator of ours. Hope you stay safe and snug as Old Man Winter makes an appearance.

Of course, that goes for everyone - hope you stay warm / cool / whatever!

Let's see . . . worked on the DST Web site this weekend, with the main visible project up of the "About Us" page - http://www.dstrigging.com/About_DST_Rigging.html The client likes it, and that's always a good thing! Still working on other aspects of this, ones that are not necessarily visible . . SEO, etc.

The DST crew is here as usual, coming in at 7 AM again as usual. Our boss and others have been in and gone from the site. I have submitted our patrol report and am now just enjoying an absolutely gorgeous day. Dave will get out on the bike later when it warms up just a bit more.

Oh! The pizza stone was a success! I got the pizza off it without dropping either on the floor! The pizza was edible! With practice, it'll only get bettah!

Not much else to report, which is also a good thing. Life is pretty darn sweet right now!

Have a good one!

Good morning All, Grey and rainy here also. Have my doubts as to the 500 being run today . Wash day, before hitting the road, headed north. (I don't wanna go). Looking forward to the stop over in Ocala, and visiting there for couple of days, service stop for r.v, may not be too much fun for pocket, but stopping at Freightliner there I think will be better then trying to get to the one in Chattanooga. (not fond of that place).

Soos, I loved your discription of your night on the town  Disco no less for our Soos. After your lovely time, know I will always pass it up  Laughing so hard here, had to read it to my Sis.

Washing and cleaning some in r.v. and playing on computer is about my day. Have to play while I can, as when I get home all heck is sure to be going on !!!!

Hope you all stay dry, but enjoy the day in someway that pleases you and makes you happy.

So glad to hear you have all those apps. for your health's sake Sharon. Yes, I have some of that to do when I get home, apps already made too. Gotta take care of the body, might not look too sharp, but gotta keep it going for all the places it has to take me yet  ;)

Have a Great day everyone,
CArol :)

Morning all.....It's been raining along the coast of GA real early this morning....Hate to complain since these folks have had no rain for a very long time, but it sure does delay our organizing, purging, and packing to move this Thursday....we're not going far, just a little over 40 miles to spend a couple weeks with friends, but sure would like to get things done...  The Sultan is bummed because of the rain, so I sent him to town to check the last of the forwarded mail and to get a few things at the store. And Spinner's on his bed sleeping.....Think since we can't do anything outside, we'll finish the organizing inside this afternoon.... ;) There's always something to do.... ;)

Have a great day, all...

I finally got around to running the carpet cleaner. Then I had to dig the cat hair out of it. Just shows how much the vacuum doesn't pick up. Just in case I didn't mention it before, I HATE CARPET.

Yesterday I spent most of the day getting my GPS updated. We'll see if it can now get me on a road and not off in a field. I keep looking at the map looking for a way around Houston that doesn't involve more miles and time. I usually end up biting the bullet and just staying on I-10. Just hope it doesn't rain. The weather channel is showing thunderstorms for this area for tomorrow and Wednesday.

Better get to town and run the rest of my errands so I don't have to grocery shop on my way out.

Good morning
Woke up to sound of heavy rain and stuff falling off tree above me bouncing off the roof. Surprised it was loud enough to wake me as I do not sleep with my hearing aids. Most of the morning was just light rain however and for the moment it has stopped. Sadly more on the way as thunderstorms forecast to develop this afternoon. It has warmed up nicely so may not even need the space heater for a few days.
Need someone to tell me the secret of making up a corner bed; nothing I've tried so far is working. Think I swept about half a bucket of sand out of Magic this morning; sure happy she did not come with carpet.
Linann (Linda) and her sister, Sandy drove up to Wandering Oaks from St Cloud and spent the afternoon Sunday. Sorry you were not able to join us, Soos. We all gathered at Irmi's last night for another great dinner and lots of talking. Kathleen and her daughter joined us. Seven of us made for a tight fit but it worked out fine. Kath being treated to an overnight trip by her daughter; they left for Orlando late this morning.
Have discovered that those of us who are vertically challenged need to be more clever in loading upper cabinets - most of mine are empty still. Think I'm going to have to have a little foot stool to even see in the freezer much less reach anything that slides to the back. Guess I need to do a little more exploring for things I know I packed but have not yet found and see if I can remember where I put what did get unpacked.
Noticed we have many new members. Welcome everyone. I will get over to read intros as soon as I get a chance.
Sun is trying to peek out! maybe the weather man was wrong - we can hope.
Have a good day.

Sarah, the little tiny folding stool is a must have for me in my rig - for many things. And folding so skinny, it takes up next to no space.

This one: http://www.amazon.com/Unknown-94214-Fol ... 915&sr=8-1

They come in a variety of colors and I got mine at Walmart. Carried all kinds of places - including Camping World, and obviously Amazon :)

I have one like that I keep in the truck so that I can reach over the side of the pickup bed.

Sarah, just remember to put heavy things in lower cabinets and lite things in the upper cabinets. Things shift on the road and something heavy falling out is not good. I almost knocked myself out with the sink cover sliding out. It is now on the floor under the bed. I have one of the little stools to see in my microwave.

Guess I can't say "Good Morning" as it is already 8:30 at night. I've been pretty busy last night and today. We are supposed to be in a slow period and no night traffic, but that changed quickly last night and I had traffic until 2:30 am. Whew! Then I went with one of the other gate guard (gg) ladies up to Uvalde, an hour away to do some grocery shopping and get a much overdue pedicure. We left about 1030 and didn't get back until almost 6. I. am. beat! No traffic at all tonight, so I should be able to get to sleep.
We've got the race on and I turn around and watch now and then, but for the most part catching up on computer stuff.
Good night all.
