Cold Sunday Morning

Good Morning everybody,

Cold morning here at the 45th. About 5 degrees or so. But promise of sunshine today, so that will warm things up.

I'm up with the chickens this mornng, or maybe before them. Woke up at 5:30, had breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage and am drinking a glass of OJ right now. Just finshed washing and drying my hair and will be getting dressed and heading off to church in a while. Need to pick up a few things at Wally World and then on home. Not sure what I am going to get into today. I'm getting antsy to go someplace for awhile, but am kind of watching my pennies right now, so don't want to burn up the gas. At least today anyway. If tomorrow's weather is as nice as they say, I might give in and take the girls someplace for a change of scenery :)

Sounds like everybody else is going with the flow right now too. Nothing really earth shaking going on. Guess we are in the mid winter state of things, making plans for future trips, future GTG's, maybe a new rig or two. And Sarah is on her way to pick up hers this weekend. Hope she and Wendy are having good drivng as I noticed it's been pretty rainy down in the south. Acadiamom has so much water in her pond thata maybe she ought to host a swim meet

So since nothing exciting is going on around here right now, I am going to wish you all a wonderful day no matter what you are doing and be off. See you all later.

Not cold but certainly wet here in southeast GA today. Has rained off and on all weekend and while I really don't like the rainy weather I have to say that we need it here. The swamp is so low that even kayaks drag in places. A rise in the water level there will be much appreciated. Normally my day off today but with the holiday weekend we are booked solid and as soon as someone leaves we are descending on that cabin to clean and make it ready for the next arrivals. I am off tomorrow but I have to go to Jacksonville to (pardon my sailor talk here) put my "tit in a wringer" for my overdue mammogram. Will try to find some way to reward myself afterwards. Stay warm and dry girls - and stay away from the wringers!

Looks to be a beautiful day here in Deep South Texas. We are headed out to bird the Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Refuge and then head to South Padre Island for lunch and some more birding. Should be a rather long day but hopefully a birdy day. The wind is no longer at 'gale' level and the sun is a beauty. Hope everyone else has much fun as we have planned. Hope our planned fun becomes a reality. The wind has really but the little birds down and we haven't seen many.

May each of you have a great day, be safe and, of course, have fun.

Good Morning everyone... we have wind and rain off and on here in Ocala...
My daughter comes on wednesday evening late! I am very happy she is coming... My son called yesterday he and my grandson Mark will be going back to Columbia the first part of March... they do not get to see much of the country as they go to work before daylight and come back to the motel after dark... they eat and fall into bed!!! it sounds like a grueling schedule... but they will have many stories to tell in the days to come...
Wendy will be here on Tuesday that will be great... I know Irmi will be making pancakes... yummmm yumm they will be great... being next to Irmi and Steve I get to sample many of their food... sure is good!!!
Not much planned today... wanted to go out and ride my trike but the wind and rain will put a stop to that...
Have a great day and enjoy each minute!
Kathleen

Thinking of Sarah today and hoping she and Wendy have a great trip! Wish I were there to see the smiles when Sarah drives off in Magic.

Cloudy today but the sun comes out every now and then although it is rather cold, the air feels clean an crisp. I'm excited, we're going to have the house painted on the inside and the man who did the outside last fall agreed to do it. He does wonderful work and we really like having him around, he's just a special person. Also my friend who made a cabinet for me a few years ago has agreed to make me another one and I am so happy. I can't buy commercial furniture because of all the smells from glues and finishes and he uses products I can tolerate. Well, they do make some furniture that is 'safe' that I can order but it is very expensive and shipping costs are outrageous. It doesn't seem fair that products (and food) that aren't harmful cost so much more. Anyway the one that my friend made me is almost identical to the one I wanted to order.

This is the one he made for me a few years ago.

This is the one I saw online like I want him to make next.

It was so nice and sunny this morning after all that rain yesterday but now it's cloudy. All that water that was behind our house has already drained off. The weather channel says we could get more rain Wednesday and Thursday. I think I'm starting to mildew.

Hope Sarah and Wendy have a good trip. It looks like the rain that came through has already moved off.

BJ, I like your cabinet. I had a desk and cabinet made for my office. There are 3 open shelves that the cats have taken over. Three of them like to get up there and each has their favorite shelf. If I would have had my choice in school I would have taken shop instead of home economics.

Think I will go start working on my motorhome to get ready for my trip to TX. It will be here before I know it. The bad thing about having my RV so handy is that it ends up being an outdoor closet. I still have Christmas paper in there because I was wrapping presents in it.

Fortunately, we went camping over New Year's so I already had to remove mine. It was one place I could spread paper out and not have to worry about having a paw print right in the middle of something ;) .

I used to hide the boys birthday and Christmas presents in the camper....one year Sean didn't get one of his Christmas presents until April when I started cleaning the camper for the season. We always laugh at the Everybody Loves Raymond episode where they find Roberts shoes, that were suppose to be a Christmas present when he was little, while they were cleaning the basement for a rummage sale.

Just a quick check -in tonight. Wendy and I are in Dothan. Left a bit late this morning trying to let weather clear a little before driving. Still drove mostly in cold, wind and rain. The rain wasn't too heavy fortunately. Will head for Nan's house tomorrow.
We did successfully get everything in Wendy's vehicle with a tiny bit of room to spare. :D

Drive carefully, and have a safe trip! Maybe I'll make it up to Ocala to see you if you show up at Kath's and Irmi's place this weekend?
