It's 27 here too Kathleen. I had hoped to avoid the cold this winter. Well, at least there's no snow which is what they are calling for tonight in Nashville. Last night we walked the campground setting faucets to drip since it was going to 22 here. I'm ready for spring and warmer temps. But for now I'll just hang out and wait for those chocolate chip cookies! Be safe all.

I guess us Southern Belles got winter going on right now. Some more winter feeling than others. Is a chill 47 right now near Mathis, TX. But I need to make a run to SA and pick up my mail...important papers with the new rig. Longdog2 says it is 34* up there. Will bundle up and make a quick trip up and then back, hoping all the time for no moisture to fall. This should be gone Monday night and then we get back to Spring!!! YES
.
Had half cup of coffee and a glass of milk with breakfast...not sharing with you guys this morning as I need to rush out the door. However, I know if you go see Kathleen she will be glad to feed you.
Off I go and if you are on the road be safe but where ever you are have fun! Keep warm and keep your powder dry.

GOOD COLD MORNING TO ALL!
It was about 36 degrees here in the Orlando area this morning when I got up to put Dinah and Molly out for a pee. It sounds as if it's cold right across the country in the southern parts. This must be the two-day winter for FL! I notice it was 9 below zero back home earlier, so not warm up north, either.
I'd like one o those elecric fire places to sit in front of today----a perfect temperature for that! Best of all, I would like one day in front of a REAL fireplace----notice I said ONE day, and not 3-4 months of winter weather!
The kids and I had a great time at Sea World's Bands, Brew, and BBQue last night! And Alice was so right on----I knew every song Foreigner sang! I just never knew the name of the band! The lead singer I know I have met somewhere along the line back in the day. The food was great, the samples of beer (you can buy a punch card with 12 numbers on it to get 4-5 ounce samples of various beers for 25 bucks, if you so choose) were delicious and interesting to try. Melissa bought two cards which we shared throughout the evening. I have a card with two unpunched holes for next time. The people were all well-behaved, the hosts were kind and interesting to talk to, and all-in-all, we all had a great time! After there, we took a trolley (cost for me was 25 cents, as an "elderly" patron!) instead of a cab to the Orena Grill and Bar, not too far from Sea World, and close to home. The Orena has been the haunt of my son since he first moved down here at the age of 18, years ago. The owner knows him, and now, Melissa, like a son and daughter. We played some games of pool there, and some bowling on machines, solved the problems of the world, and heard of the death of Whitney Houston. Although I never liked Houston's voice or songs, she was obviously well-loved in the music world. RIP Whitney.
After cabbing it back home here, we had some chili that I had made and hit the hay. It was a very fun night, and we will do it again before the event runs ists course----will go through sometime in March, including Kenny Rogers.
I will take a day of rest and recovery today, as the kids have returned home to get some work done back there. The furnace is humming and the house is comfy and warm. My new TV which I got on sale at WalMart, on my WalMart card with no interest for 12 months, is set up and ready to entertain me. My tax refund will pay for it in no time at all. Sure is nice to be able to see the picture now on something bigger than either my 5 inch screen, or my larger 15 inch screen!
Happy Sunday to all!

Not sure what the thermometer says here this morning but it wasn't quite as cold as they said. At least we didn't get down to freezing. Unfortunately, it starts to rain again tonight. Rain every other day this week.
I'm off to finish working on my paper. I was worried about the one I did last week but got a good grade. Worrying about grades at my age - what a kick!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!
Been up for a little while. Haven't got my motor running yet tho and I'm on my 2nd cup of coffee too. Nasty gloomy rainy day here. Temp is 40f. suppose to get to 49f but will wait and see. For the next 5 days it's suppose to me mid 40's and lows in the mid to upper 20's. And just maybe a touch of snow on Mon thru Wed. Blech!!! The north can have all of that they want. Sure don't want it here!
Have been going over to the storage room the past few days and heaving stuff out. Have made a good dent in stuff. Now if I can only get Kelly to get rid of more stuff! That girl is just like her Grandmother, a pack rat from the wore go!!!
I keep stuff I really shouldn't but nothing like her. Jeeze!
Got rid of 6 banana boxes of stuff so far in the trash. Gave a bananas box worth of stuff to Jodi and have 2 boxes of stuff to donate. Also have a bunch of paperwork to either rip up or burn. I'm leaning towards burning, has names. addresses and SS # on it. And I"m not done at all. Told Kelly we will go thru the stuff and sort the first time. Then when we've gone thru everything we will keep going thru it time and time again until I'm satisfied! I am really very happy tho. I found a box that I thought had gotten tossed out. I felt really badly about it as it is full of stuff that belongs to my x-dil. Now I can take it home with me when and if we go!! Did you notice I said "if we go"? As badly as we both want to go home, I'm not gonna guarantee or count my chickens until after they're hatched and running around!!!
With my luck? Maybe I ought to wait until those buggers are in the pot???
OK, time to pour another cup of coffee and go see what ya'll have been up to! Hope ya'll stay warm, safe and have fun!!
Love to all

Kind of chilly here too in San Diego this morning. My cat is even extra fluffy this morning! Lows this week in the low 40's and highs in the upper 50's with off and on rain all week. Not complaining tho! Minneapolis is 30 degrees colder than here (they have had an unusually warm winter tho!).
Got the day off. Need to do some laundry and room cleaning. Maybe read a little once I get my books reorganized.
Have a great day girls!

Kerrville had SNOW Sunday morning. Just enough to lightly coat the ground and gone by afternoon. I have six rather large palm like plants that I put in my guest bedroom when it started getting cold. Put them back on the deck when it started warming up. Brought them all inside last week. The damn things are better traveled than I am right now.
