Breezy Sunday Morning

Morning all,

Just making a quick stop this morning. No coffee thanks. Don't drink it anyway. Up and at em at 6:30. Still dark out there yet and it's 7:36 a.m.m but starting to lighten a little. Cloudy and windy out there too.

Church this morning, followed by a quick trip to Wally World. Haven't been there for a couple of weeks. Then home and not sure where from there. Probably will take the girls for a walk over on the next road over from here. That's the road I used to live on before moving over where I am now. It runs around the lake over there. I think the snow is a bit too deep for us to go through the back of my property to the road behind me or else we could go that way and walk across the hightway and down another road. I have about 5 roads we can walk on right around me here. Some dirt, some seal coated. Bunch of homes around a lake and a couple of small subdivisions like mine. Lots of state land around too.

Sounds like everybody's busy. Soos is getting a second dog. Yea Soos for adopting her. She will love it, especially up in the daks and I'll bet Molly wlll too. Echo is thinking of heading home to TN this spring. Go for it. Nothing like being in a place you love. Irmi is enjoying FL and so is Kathleen. Sarah is going to be in love with her new MH when she brings it home and we will get to hear about her comings and goings and getting it "personalized". And I am going to make some changes here too. Been reading up on some of the new models hitting the market this year. More environmental friendly rigs and lighter weight. So can be towed behind smaller vehicles. That means I can trade this big gas hog truck in and go for the next size down with better mileage, sell my TT in spring and maybe keep myself in the game.

Off to get ready for church here. Have a great day all.

Good Morning
Just a quick check-in this AM as I need to leave Days Inn in Davenport in a little while to inch a tiny bit to the north. Have enjoyed visiting with Carolyn & Margie past couple of days. Many thanks to Carolyn, my GPS has updated maps for journey home (my computer too old to interface with Garman software).
Wishing all a great day.

Morning ladies. Steady rain here in the swampland. But we need the rain so I won't complain. Had a fun afternoon off yesterday and did a little kayaking with fellow work campers. Thinking I will go see a movie this afternoon in Waycross. The new Speilberg movie about the Tuskegee Airmen is out. Should be good. Just taking it easy for a day or two. Cleaned Seeker good this morning. Maybe buy groceries after the movie then laundry this evening. Gee, who knew retirement could be so exciting?

Sarah, be safe on the road. Thanks Carolyn for helping her out with the GPS.

Good am everyone, Sarah you'll be coming home to rain fog and if tonight, maybe storms! I need to see how you update those gps's . Mine is new so shouldnt need it yet, but I think it was messing with my mind on the way home! Sent me down a residential street once on my way to cg in Tallahaasee, I finally found a place i could turn around! And told me to make a u turn once when I KNEW I was heading back to get on I-10. Got bills paid errands run doing laundry and have on more trip out to the camper to bring in. Also have already swiffered kitchen and vacummed den. Who was in my house messing up while I was gone? Everyone have fun and stay safe today. Wendy

Good morning !!! Beautiful outside, but I don't feel up to taking real advantage of it. Had to go to Urgent care this morning, ear ache, haven't had one in yrs., silly me, kept thinking it would go away. How do you ever even get these things, I have no idea, just happened. Hopefully antibiotic will fix it up soon.

Carolyn, so nice of you to get Sarah's GPS uptodate, mine needs it badly too, HINT, HINT. Will know if its working properly if it finds its way here for her :D My family are all enjoying a Sunday afternoon cruise, Maggie and I, decided to stay here, so we're anxious to see Sarah and here all about her new MH first hand.

Everyone sounds so busy, so many plans and newbies, Welcome all of you. I'm Visiting so doesn't leave much time to really know whats going on here, but all who have joined in past couple of months, join in on all the fun we have here, When I see a new person on the morning thread, I go to see who, when and where, and hope you will give voice to comments you might have.

Wishing you all a Wonderful day, Stay safe, Please !!!
CArol :)

Wow, Wendy you have been a busy busy lady, seems we tried to post at the same time  :D

Good morning everyone from warm, sunny Florida!

The weather in Ocala is spectacular! The temperatures are perfect, in the high 70's, low 80's and will remain like this at least for the next few days. Teddy loves the long walks he is getting and we are enjoying life to the fullest. I'm getting ready to go back outside to sit in my chair and relax. Have a wonderful day everyone!

HAPPY NOON TO ALL!

Sue, I, too, am considering perhaps exchanging my heavy Hideout for a lighter trailer that will be easier to tow, and give me better gas mileage. I would keep my truck as I can use it for much more than towing, but would really like to get a lighter trailer. Please send me any links to some you find good?

It's about 80 here today, not humid or hot whatsoever, and a strikingly perfect January day. I see that Jewel the bear gave birth to at least two cubs this morning whie I was sitting out by the pond here, watching the turkeys and other wildlife do their things. It was exactly a year ago that Lily gave birth to her two cubs while we were in Silver Springs State Park in Ocala at the GTG. I love hearing the little mewling noises that the newborn bears make as they seek their Mommy's milk supply, and then that purring/humming sound they make when they are latched on!

Yesterday afternoon I went to the dog shelter and signed the adoption papers for Dinah, the stray American Foxhound that somebody must have dumped off here on Goog's and Melissa's property. I sent Melissa in to check on her, as I knew I couldn't see those other poor souls who might not be adopted. However, she replied that most were adopted, acknowledged by the signs on their kennels, including Spike, featured in the video of the week adoptable pets! She said she was very impressed with the size and cleanliness of the kennels, which have indoor and outdoor access, and to see that all the critters appeared to be well taken care of. I will be able to pick her up on Thursday, provided the original owner doesn't show up and claim her. Should that happen, I would get my 60 dollars back or could adopt another dog, neither of which I will do if the owner shows up. I will donate my bucks to the shelter and run away from there before I end up with a truckload! I have a few days to get the needed crates for traveling, and a good leash and collar for her. Although I was originally hoping her original owners would show up, I am now hoping they will not!

Good to hear that Wendy made it safely home, Kath and Irmi and Steve are neighbors for a while, Sarah has a new rig ready to be taken over, Alice is able to see things a bit better now, and that all who were at the GTG seem to be able to rest for a bit before the next big bash! Carol I am so sorry to hear about your earache...they are very painful to say the least. Used to plague me pre-tonsilectomy days, and then I have been cured ever since.

I washed my trailer yesterday with a soap-and-wax solution that made it look like new. Today will be a walk along the St. Cloud waterfront with Molly, and perhaps a swim in the lake for me. Happy Sunday to all.

Woke up a little while ago and checked on the Bear Cam, and could hear two bear cubs nursing! Yay! Sounds like they are sleeping now. All is quiet. Will be anxious to see them!

I have the day off today. Not sure what I will do yet, altho laundry is definately on the list! My roommates new boyfriend/fiance is coming over later to watch football. It quit raining here so I might take my bike out for a ride later. Gotta put the new cushy seat on it first.

Was thinking about driving out to Quartzsite for the GTG on Tuesday, but after checking into the drive, it will cost me $100 for gas and 8 hours of driving for a 24 hour trip. Decided it won't be worth it, as much as I would love to meet/see everyone, including Linda. If I had an extra day and some extra money, I would do it, but just coming off my trip to Catalina, I need to hang onto my money right now.

Hope you all have a great day!

It's windy here too and we're right on the edge of a severe weather warning. It looks like most of the rain is North of us.

I couldn't volunteer at a shelter because I would want to bring them home. We still have 20 something barn cats and the population is pretty stable. We only lost one cat a couple of months ago that got hit on the highway. When they start roaming that far it's not good.

Wendy, I don't know what kind of GPS you have but the 2 Garmins I have bought had to be updated and I only had a limited amount of time to do it. The one I use needs to be updated again because sometimes it shows me out in a field instead of on a road. I always have trouble trying to get it done. I had to take the Garmin program off my computer because it was making it freeze up.
