,,,which makes tomorrow Friday the Thirteenth. Not that I'm paying attention. ('Scuse me while I move this latter and sweep up this broken mirror. Oh look, a black cat!).

This is another of those weeks when there isn't enough coffee in the world, emphasized this morning by Ol' Man Winter blowing through. We had 70 degree weather yesterday afternoon - within a couple of hours it was down to the 30's. That's Texas for you.

Our RV, which spent several weeks stuck in the mud in the middle of the driveway (long story) is now back where it belongs in it's designated parking place, ready to be made ready for the next adventure. A day or two before we leave I always have a mental image of the space shuttle on the launch pad, wisps of gas curling around it. No launches expected for us until mid-Spring, it looks like.

Be safe on the road, especially if you're in Texas today.

good morning ladies
59 degrees and partly cloudy right now but of course I can't tell cause I'm warm and toasty in my room. Feels good to actually think I'm having a day off but
of course its going to be filled with lots and lots of things to catch up on. Have to do some extra cleaning in my room today so when Lacey comes back
there will be less chance of infection in her incision. Pulling Bandits old kennel off the top shelf to get her settled into that this evening for her recooperation.
Can't have her jumping up on the shelf. Would like to get a nap if I have time, these last few nights have been sleepless nights due to Lacey. It wasn't so
much her little bit of caterwalling she did but she was very active and then the dogs would jump out of bed to investigate what she was up to. Last night
was the worst so extra coffee is in order and then have her down to the clinic at 8. Borrowed a little cat carrier from a lady at work so there is no stress
there about the car ride.
Son came home yesterday with a Wii for me. Helping one of his friends get things set up for a yard sale over the weekend, the Wii for scheduled for
sale but didn't make it to the set up, seems Michael remembered one time I mentioned I would like one. There is no game so I'll have to get one and
I certainly hope all the pieces and cords are there. I'll have to do some research.
Off to do some more surfing through the forum and my email. Have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning Megan, Ava and all who follow,

Don't feel bad Megan. We are going from "spring" back to winter here today too. After a couple three days of spring like, mild weather, melting snow etc. the temps are going to drop and so is the snow. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advissories are out for us. Fortunately we are under the advisories and not warnings. But 3-6 inches is nothing to laugh at. Drop in a bucket for us though. With the winds supposed to increase and blow from the north, I anticipate that the worst will go down along the lake shore warning counties. This has been one weird winter here this year. Way out of norm. They don't know if it's a fluke in the weather pattern or a sign of climate change. As is, being this is the middle of January and them temps have been above average, the Great Lakes will not freeze this year and predictions are for low water levels this summer. They just don't know what's going to happen.

So tomorrow is Friday the 13th. Hmmmm, hadn't even noticed. The first month of the year has a Friday the 13th in it. Is that bad luck or what? Fortunately no black cats around here yet

We had a very intense workout at the gym yesterday. A different instructor than the usual one and she led us through muscle moves of all types. Boy could you feel those muscles getting a workout. Even some of the ladies remarked afterwards about it being quite a workout. You feel like you are walking on rubber bands for awhile  Part I'm not happy abuot is that my weight doesn't seem to be changing. Maybe it will need some time. I think I am just going to go along and do my own thing as far as eating is concerned and not concentrate so hard on trying to lose it. Did that last year and lost 10 pounds.

Not sure what I am doing today. Should run up and pick up a prescription from the pharmacy as it was called in last week and i forgot to pick it up. It's just a renewal of my current prescription and I have some pills here, so have not needed it yet. But I could call them and ask them to hold it too. Be easier. Thought about cleaning the house a bit, but not sure if I want to do that either. Need to clean out some files etc., so might do that and get them organized for this years paperwork. Ideas floating around in my head, it's just deciding on one.

Sounds like the folks at the GTG are having a ball and the launch of the shuttle bike was a sucess despite Nan getting dunked in the drink. All in the fun and as long as Nan didn't get hurt, just wet, no harm done. Have you noticed that everytime there is a picture, somebody has food or drink in their hand?

I'm looking at another TT floor plan and kind of like it, but would have to see the TT first to see if I like it. It's a Cherokee Grey Wolf 18RB. Just a tad bigger than the one I now have but has a rear bathroom and a front queen size bed. I also like the idea of the entry door being by the bed. Make a quick exit if necessary. It also has about double the carrying capacity of my current trailer, but it is a bit heavier too.

http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/defaul ... s=GreyWolf

it would perhpas be a better trailer for traveling the road as it's a bit heavier (think more gas  ), but with a bigger carrying capacity, I don't have to worry about overload and it has more water and drey/black tank capacity also. my current TT, although a cute and very comfty trailer only has a 1200 lb. cargo carrying capacity and you know as well as I do, that by the time you load up water and propane, it doesn't leave room for much. Not going to do anything right now anyway. Just looking. Might find something else in the meantime. And need some green :)

Sue, you are catching on......gtg have never been a place to avoid food.  It is why Alice stated that she might have to stay over at her own site and away from the gathering place for her own protection.

Hope that Lacey comes through her procedure well and is home and forgiving you quickly, Ava....cats seem to think about stuff more than the dogs do.

The high wind gusts stopped Conni and I from our planned run to MX today. Will do that tomorrow. The temp drop didn't stop us - will still be chilly tomorrow, but the gusts are supposed to be gone.

This past week a man I met here when staying in Port A in 2008/09 passed away. There will be a Celebration of his Life on the beach with a followup gtg at one of my friends rigs in the park I was at that time - all on Saturday. Right now temps are supposed to get back to the mid-60's and sunny. I'll go and we should have a good celebration of him. My g/f and her husband have taken in his dog and their other 2 dogs are helping tremendously with Gizmo's grieving. I will not take Conni with me. I think it would be too much for her with her still grieving so much for the husband she just lost. Peaches will come with me, though, as she so loves the beach.

So much fun watching the antics at the gtg in Fl.

Ava, I posted on your other thread to keep Lacey's stuff on the floor so she doesn't have to jump, but you are ahead of me on that already! Hope she heals quickly! Hope you can get some sleep now too!

Today was busier at work than yesterday (I'm at my favorite shop this week). Had a new customer come in this morning. A woman with a young boy. We had a great conversation while I cut her son's hair. She left me a $10 tip. She came back this evening with her young daughter (first haircut) and I got another $10 tip from her! So that was really cool! Some extra spending money for my birthday!

I can't believe how many people who live out here, have never been to Catalina Island! I guess maybe because it costs quite a bit. I wouldn't be going either if it weren't for the big discounts I am getting for my birthday. Gotta start making a list of what I need to pack. Better not forget my camera!!
