Good Morning to All - where is every one? It's already after 7 here - sun hasn't come over the mountain yet but I can see the light.
Haven't done too much the last few days. Lots of people on the road and beach. Party harty. Also have had a back ache for a couple of days. This is probably our last day in Aticama. Supposed to leave for Mazatlan again tomorrow. Will miss our friends who are here (and TV) but will like getting back into a city again. But as always plans are in jello.
Hope most of you are not getting that really cold weather I read about. I know it is only in the 20s at home. Brrrrr - and I was debating between jeans and shorts this a.m. - shorts won.
Everyone have a good day - drive carefully and enjoy the flowers beside the road.

Good morning Carol and all. I should be where you are, Carol. It's long underwear and jeans here for sure today. 23 degrees this morning on the Natchez Trace according to the Weatherbug. Nothing froze, and except for a quick outside trip for Simba, we are staying warm inside until the temps get above freezing. The sun is shining so it shouldn't take too long.

I'm expecting Beth and Peaches to arrive sometime today, so I'm sure we'll be ready for a good walk then. Stay warm, everyone.

I just went to take a shower - and had forgotten to turn my hot water on. What a shock. Am now waiting for it to get hot and will try again.

Liz, I just checked and right now, with the wind chill - temp is 18 where I am. Brrrrr - and that's only about 60 miles north of you. Going to be a cold day, but tomorrow will see things start going up again. Plus we'll be headed further south tomorrow. I'm so glad I had hookups last night. My electric heaters never shut off. If not for wanting to catch up to you - would go pay for one more night ... hahaha - I'm really getting to be a wimp. But I'm also, at the moment, without a generator - so gotta hope I get there with my battery fully charged so that my heater can run as necessary.

Ah ... life on the road ... and I love it. Love it more when the temps cooperate, but still love it.

Other than the pic I posted yesterday - got all my other pics organized (including the last taken in KY) so that in the near future will get my blog caught up and get 2012 going as it should be.

I will bring the trailer home shortly... they need to look for a leak after i got so dealthy dizzy and dry heaves the last time out... furnance was ok.. so they will check the hotwater propane.. when water can be put back in the tank. Also need a new CO dector.. every 5 yrs they are to be replaced.. I was gonna get one out a walmart ( first alert) for $25 but they arent made for RV's.. they do make one but i couldnt find it on the web. Always better safe than sorry.

It's sunny and cool here today. About 52 now and might go up to 60. My DH was cussing last night because it was suppose to freeze. He got all the water lines ready for a freeze and the lowest I saw was 34. He was cussing the weather man this morning because it didn't freeze.

I have to go to the dentist in a little while to see about getting a crown glued back in. Then I'm heading back to De Ridder for a funeral. My ex-sister-in-law's mother passed away. My DH said I was going to meet myself coming or going because I just made that trip on the weekend.

Sunny morning here in South Central Texas. High's will be upper 60's or lower 70's. Is now 48 and it did get down to 28 last night. Wasn't posed to and I didn't unhook the water. didn't freeze the hose but it was a little slow moving thru this morning.

Martha, I can just hear your DH telling you about meeting youself, but hey he is a little late with that info. That would have been good to know 40 years ago when you were burning the candle at both ends and in the middle.. You are experienced at coming and going now, tis nothing.

Laundry day today and boy I hate to do that as the lake is sparkling like diamonds. Oh, well, should have gone nekked and then I would have wash the clothes. Hope you on the road are safe and careful. Those of you parked have fun. Everyone keep your powder dry and your tootsy warm.

Just one more really cold day/night to get passed then it is to warm up nicely for my trip south.
My to do list is growing - should be shrinking. Better get off here and work on getting it back under control.
Stay warm and safe.

GOOD MORNING/AFTERNOON SISTAHS!!! LOL

Yeah I know it's after 12 noon but what the heck. I slept in this morning, took Shade out and shivered while doing so. Don't know what it got down to last night but my feet woke me up while it was still dark cause they were cold! Now that's bad too, I sleep under a big fuzzy, almost a faux fur blanket and a comforter! Plus I have the small heater we got from Snowball pointing towards the bedroom too! Brrrrrr! Now? The sun is shinning, it's warm in here and I have both heaters turned off. :D ;)

Slept in cause I was up late, till ? 2:30am, I think. When I went to bed Kelly was watching a movie so hard telling what time she went to sleep. Plus she woke up and was on the laptop when I got up. She is crashed back out and z'ing away right now.

Nothing much in the works as far as plans go for today, tho I do have to go to town to get a couple of things, So will be sticking my head in the sink and washing my hair.

Job in ND is not looking like a future possibility. The 2 bosses are squabbling, one wants to stay up there and the other wants to move operations to NM. So they are arguing on how to split the equipment up. If it doesn't work out we have discussed the idea of going home in March after we get our taxes back. I've got an app for Dollywood here that I guess I will fill out. Kelly wouldn't be able to work there as she can't wear shoes full time. Her feet get so blasted hot that one of them gets covered with blisters. So we figure she can work at one of the tourist shops in Pigeon Forge. But if so that means we will only be 1 1/2hrs from home!!! YAY!!!! :D :D Will get to see my son, grandson and other friends too. Hot diggity dog !

Enough yakking and flapping my fingers, gonna go read and catch up on ya'll. Be safe in all that you do today! And most of all have fun.

Love to all

It's late, but never too late for coffee!

My son, wife and three active boys stayed with me over the New Year's weekend. I thought it would drive me crazy to have so many people in my little condo, but I LOVED it. Went hiking and did a ton o' cooking. After the hike, my son said to the boys, "I think we broke Grandma." I was dead tired and had a painful case of hammer toe. So I am unseasonably wearing sandals right now.

When they left yesterday I thought I'd feel relief. But suddenly my bustling home was Dead Quiet. And I just began to cry and cry and cry. Big, snotty, sobbing cries. I hadn't realized how much I missed having a houseful of people at the holidays. I missed my husband. And when he left, I realized how much I miss my son.

So there. Another little slap-on-the-back-of-the-head fit of grief. It's nice to remember as well.

Awe!!! {{{{hugs}}}}}

Worked at my favorite shop today. It wasn't terribly busy but I still made over $40 in tips, way better than the other shop even on a busy day! I just feel so much more comfortable there and it was nice chatting with the manager again. She is so sweet!

I stopped after work to talk to the manager of the fitness place. He was very nice and remembered me from yesterday. I told him I didn't want to continue with that trainer and he understood. He said he will talk to her about how she handled things. I said I just want to start with the yoga classes and go from there, for now. He was very understanding and apologized several times for what happened. So I feel much better now (except for the very sore muscles I now have!).

Another 85 degree day today. Looks like it will be cooling off by Friday tho with a high of 68, but still nice! You all need to head out here and warm up!

It is not easy over the holidays and especially if you want to have that perfect grandma/grandpa/grandchildren family. I know it hits me a lot too and a good cry helps quite a bit. Then, as you say, you just get on with it and accept the life you can. Unfortunately, there are a lot of us out there, doing the best we can. You gave your family a great New Year's and those kids and your son will remember that all their lives. Happy New Year!

Big hugs to you, Janice! As Carol said, big snotty-nosed, sobbing crying sessions are good for the soul every now and then. Third world women really put their entire heart and soul into those, with no shame or regrets, and I have always envied them sharing those feelings with each other. I am so happy you had your house filled with activity and joy over the holiday, and were able to make such a fun time for your son and his family. They will remember Grandma's New Year 2012 forever! Kahlil Gibran's philosophy always helped me in times where I begin to feel sorry for myself, with his teachings that we feel the most pain from those times in life that have made us the happiest. I try to interpret that as "anything worth laughing over is worth crying for." And that you can't know real joy without knowing real sorow. I was a novice in college whtn I found Gibran, but he got me through some very touchy times! So, get ready for more of each!

Love from Molly and me
