Cojld Wednesday Morning

A chilly good morning from the 45th,
Cold front came blasting through here yesterday afternoon and took care of our nice 40 degree weather we had been having. Dropped the temps pretty fast too. Was 37 at 2:30 when I went over to my cousin's and 22 when I left at 6:30 and kept going down. 9 degrees under a clear sky this morning. So I guess we joined with everybody else who said they had cold fronts coming through. And all we got out of it was just a light dusting of snow, just enough to slick up the roads. Actually started out as light rain first and then changed over, so I had to scrap my truck windows before heading for home.
KD, i know how you feel about being by the water. That's one reason I haven't wanted to visit the desert southwest yet. It's on the bottom of my bucket list. I've lived near or on water all my life and really miss being around it when I'm someplace out of state where there isn't any. Although I do love the mountains too and Colorado and Wyoming are on top of my bucket list right now. All of the state parks I camp at here in Michigan are on lakes.
Kathleen, I hope your friend's dog is going to be okay. It's possible that it might have eaten a turkey bone and some of the bone got lodged in something. Thatnks for posting that article Beth. My vet and I were talking the other day, and he said they see a lot of problems with dogs who get people food all the time. Both of mine are in excellent health cause they don't. Maybe a bit or two of chicken or steak once in a while.
Irmi, so glad that you two are on the road heading south. And despite the lousy wet weather, you seem to be making good time. And also getting to see friends on the way down, is a plus. Before you know it, you will be in Florida. I'm looking forward to hearing about your winter adventures down there.
Well, time to be off and rolling here. Going to do up some dishes on the sink and then eventually head down the road here a bit. Want to check out a Cross Country ski shop and see what kind of prices they have and then go visit some friends down that way. Oh yes, I did stop by the gym yesterday and got some info, prices etc. If I can't find some skis pretty soon, I will be heading off to the gym and truth be told, it's way cheaper too. There is a program out through the Council on Aging along with this gym. and it's called "Young at Heart". Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can go and work out. They have a series of excercises set up. Cardio, strength and aerobics.
So have a nice day all. Those who are on the road, be safe.
