RABBITS I SAID!

i remembered----when I got up in the middle of the morning, I remembered as I sat down, and shouted RABBITS, bringing Molly running to see what on earth was wrong!
It's a cool morning here in Central FL----no sure what the temperature is out there, but it's 60 in here. Perfectly comfy for me, with my fleece pants and fleece jacket on. I see that it was down to 12F. at home, so I feel very blessed here.
A flock of fat, large wild turkeys ambled across the front lawn today as Molly and I were stepping out----nice to see some back here, as they were numerous in the old days when my father lived here. The danged grey squirrels have taken over now, and need some population control!
I tried out some laptops at Walmart while I was there yesterday afternoon, but they all left me cold. I came back here and messed with my web camera settings, going into the advanced settings files, and PRESTO! My camera now works with Skype! Mandy, Joe, Orion and I had a neat conversation during the chat time last night (sorry to have dropped out of there, but we were all dying to see if the camera would really work)and it functioned just perfectly! Orion was actually looking at me on his computer screen! Maybe he will learn who I am after all! Now I am in no rush to replace this computer, either. Very rewarding. I changed some setting from a NTSC (or something like that) to a PAL, and all of a sudden I could make video calls!
I also got me a new bicycle seat cover, padded, from WalMart, to cover over my old tattered and torn hard seat, and I am dying to try it out this morning. It fits perfectly, and looks like a brand new seat altogether.
I hope you all have a good December 1st day doing something fun and rewarding----where on earth did this entire year go???

Good Morning to All from kind of cool Mazatlan. We left Huatabampito in the fog yesterday morning and arrived in Mazatlan at 4:30 in the afternoon after 360 miles and US$72 in tolls. Not cheap to take the toll road but it is a very good road and they are doing a lot of improvements on it too. Diesel is US$2.80 a gallon so doesn't hurt so much to fill the tank. The campground here full services - is US$15.50 a day. Again we are in the back all by ourselves. Only about 20 rigs here and all but 2 of us are from Canada. Mostly same people as were here last year.
As soon as we were settled we headed out for dinner. Went to the rib place - salad, baked potato, coleslaw, full rack of ribs - 160 pesos for two thats 11 dollars in US total for both of us. YUM
Will be staying here for a while - no real plans. Bill is so happy here - can just see him relax. Guess I can relax too - been a long year.

Moring.. from a cold morning here in WASH ST... its foggie and freezing right now.... Oh I do envy anyone in the warm parts of the state right now.... I am sure it will be clear skys and chilly most of the day.....I can handle that better than the ole gloom we have here all the time..
I am taking care of friends kitties while she and her daughter are down in Baja... They are coming home today... I hope they will bring some warmth with them.
That dinner looks totally YUMMY!!!!
Not much going on here as usual.... have a good day everyone..

Happy December 1 from Kansas ... I mean Azusa.
I rocked & rolled all night with more than 60mph wind gusts, losing power for about 3 hours -- and I wasn't even in the worst of it. Pasadena's declared a state of emergency due to the damage. And I'm supposed to go camping today in one of the windy areas. Don't think so ... at least for a day. I'll be calling the campground to see how much damage they might have or if they lost power. The winds are supposed to continue through tomorrow, and I don't relish the idea of taking my trailer out, just to park it under a bunch of trees in high winds.
So, I have a day off and nowhere to go for now. I'm glad the power's back on, so I can at least play on the computer. I hope you all have a great day. Please say a little prayer for the people in the areas affected by the winds. It's really a mess out there.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!
Brrrrrr! I think maybe a lot of us are getting clobbered with the colder temps. Wunderground says it's 48f out there. I for one don't believe it, says the wind chill is 45f, and that wind is blowing too. Suppose to get down to the mid 20's tonight. And then it's all downhill from there. Rest of the week is suppose to be in the 40's to mid 30's during the day and down into the teens over night. Lowest temp for over night is suppose to hit 13f. OMG!!! Where did my warm sunshine go to???
I think someone stole it! I am not ready nor am I looking forward to the cold. OH! They are also calling for up to 2" of snow.
Sure do wish we could have had to money to make it further south!
But you know what they say, "If wishes were horses, beggers would ride".
Just finishing the last cup of coffee out of my small pot. ~sigh~ Kelly is still crashed out on the couch. Dang kid stays up half the night then sleeps half the day. Oh well not much else to do.
Need to go to town to the grocery store but really and truly don't feel like going anywhere. Besides I'm a menace to my wallet in the dang grocery store. Always spend more than I want or should. So I just might stay my butt right to home and stay as warm as I can in the mean time.
Hope everyone has an excellent day. If not? Then at least a good day.
Love to all

Dang! Forgot to say Rabbits again! Oh well...there's always next month (Yikes! Next month is January already!)
It has been nice here today. Laura, you should come down to San Diego this weekend. So far, no wind or rain. Beautiful and sunny like usual.
Soos, what kind of bike seat cover did you get? The gel or the memory foam? I need a new seat/cover for my bike too and was looking at the ones at Walmart. Let me know how you like yours and which one you got.
So glad you finally get to have two-way visual communication with your grandson! He will get to know your voice and your face now!

I got the gel seat, Barbie, and it's NOT soft by any means! I figured the memory foam one might compress and be harder, but now I'm not so sure. When I save up enough money to try again, I think I will also get the memory foam one! However, my seat looks brand new now, and is better than it was, for sure!

Walmart has a bike seat (not a seat cover) that is memory foam, for $25 and it feels really soft and cushy but I will have to wait awhile before I can afford that. I thought the gel ones seemed a little too hard.
